The ramen was really delicious. The broth was flavorful. Quick and nice service and the prices are reasonable as well.

I had the classic chicken paitan ramen. It was tasty and decently priced given the size and toppings. The pork char sui was very good. I was disappointed that there wasn’t really any lighter broth options on the paper menu and that the miso was still with the paitan broth. There were many individual diners seated at large tables when they could have eaten at the bar. There is a B health rating as of December 2022. I’d eat it again but will try other places.

A classic ramen institution in Midtown East, Totto Ramen never disappoints. 🍜 I recommend trying their original signature ramen bowl with a side of pork buns. If you come here for lunch during the work week, try to arrive earlier than usual. It can get busy!

I’ve had many delicious ramen in Japan and Thailand. This is one of all worth ramen shop you have come. Chicken broth ramen is good but love Tsukemen so much.

i ordered the tsukemen (a style of ramen where you dip the noodles into the broth, and the broth is extra thick/heavy), and to date, it is the best tsukemen i’ve had in the states. i’ve had tsukemen in tokyo and the broth at totto actually comes pretty close. the ramen texture was perfect for me and the meat was also delicious. would definitely recommend a try! EDIT: i went back two days ago (9/9/21) and they had an updated menu with no more tsukemen. i had their mega ramen which was decent but not as impressive.

Great ramen spot in midtown, good food and service, nice selections and easy accessible. The chicken ramen and bao band are delicious, nice sake selection too.

One of our new favourite ramen place in NY!! Lots of seating available and sufficient for larger groups. The ramen soup was super delicious and they specialize in chicken based soup. Highly recommend their original ramen, we drank up the entire bowl of soup.

We have been trying a lot of Ramen in the past few months and to be really frank the ramen was pretty ordinary. We went here as we read some good reviews. We ordered the Spicy Chicken Nanban which was good (the only thing I did not like was the sauce was poured over it, I like my sauces on the side) and the Spicy Paitan Ramen (they have Pork and Chicken options). The ramen was nowhere close to other ramen places in the city.

I've been looking for a good ramen place around this area and I think I found one. Mega Paitan is their best seller and I was not disappointed. Service is okay, making sure we have water. The place is nice, they have a bar seat where you can oversee the workers making ramen.

1 vegetarian Raman bowl option available that can be customized,add/minus veggies. Only downside is no tofu options. But still flavorful and filling.

Super disappointed at the char-siu bun ($5 a piece). As you can see in the picture, the Totto's char siu was thick and dry as a brick. In comparison, the one at ippudo was much better quality with a nice composition of fat and meat. Again, the Totto's char siu was very low quality and just a thick slap of dry meat. Don't get the char-siu bun if you go there! The signature ramen was good but the portion was very small - be prepared to order extra noodles to feel full.

I got the spicy mega paitan. Overall a good experience with a few misses. The chicken broth tastes a bit different from the ones I’ve had in Asia. I thought the pork chasiu was a bit dry and the broth was too peppery (maybe regular mega paitan would be a better choice). The noodles were amazing however. Very flavorful and soaks up all the thick broth. The pork bun was really good too.

Delicious ramen!! My friend swears they have the best vegetarian ramen in NYC. I tried the spicy chicken ramen and it was quite yummy. We also enjoyed a cup of their plum wine, which I would certainly recommend trying if you like sweet drinks.

Was looking for a ramen spot on a cold night and stumbled upon totto. I ordered the vegan ramen and was pleasantly surprised. The avocado was a nice touch.

Great flavor. I would recommend the spicy mega ramen. The spicy ramen is not very spicy, so dont worry. The pork version is tasty but very salty. The chicken version might be better if you dont like salty foos.

i had chicken ramen and it was good, nice texture of the veggies and a good size for the price. I ordered the plain one (not spicy) but at the end I felt like it needed some heat flavor. There was not hot sauce available to add 🤷🏻‍♀️, that's why it gets a 4* from me.

we arrived at the ramen shop with few people already in line waiting to be seated. the shop is a little hole in the wall restaurant in 52nd st manhattan. this is probably one of the best ramen i ever tried. arguably the same as a authentic Japanese ramen i tried when i was in japan. the broth is very tasty, the meat is tender and the portions is just right for me. the inside of the restaurant is very small, probably about 10-20 people max. i also tried couple Japanese ramen restaurants around the area, but this is the only ramen shop that i always go back for. if your in manhattan or around the area and you’re craving for some Japanese ramen, this is the place to be. a must try!

The service was great and I loved the enthusiasm of the people working here. I had the totto ramen. The pork chashu was really well done in my opinion, I loved the perfectly charred exterior and the texture of the meat. The noodles were firm and chewy, perfectly complementing the chicken based broth. I had some of the firebird ramen that my gf wasn’t able to finish. It’s not too spicy as to completely cover the flavor of the broth, and it had this rich sesame-ish smell to it. 5/5 would come again

One of THE best ramen bowls of my life. Totto Ramen’s spicy miso chicken paitan bowl rivals the tonkotsu ramen at Ichiran and the duck shoyu ramen at Ramen Spot. Run, do not walk, to this restaurant. The appetizers that I tried, takoyaki and pork buns, were solid. I left feeling extremely full and satisfied, at $33 per person after tax and tip. This place is worth a repeat visit.

Very good food, fast service. The waiter was a little rude, we never asked for the check but were still presented with one. I understand this is NYC and everything, but the restaurant was totally empty and two people can prefer to talk instead of walking out after finishing their food.

Quick service and good food. The atmosphere is very casual and friendly. We ordered three different types of ramen: the totto ramen with chicken, the spicy mega ramen with pork, and spicy miso ramen with pork. I going to give this place four stars until I tried the spicy mega ramen. It is so good!! Rich, garlicky, savory… definitely one of the tastiest ramens I’ve had in NY. My brother liked the ramen here better than the one he had in Japan. He liked the totto ramen the best for its clean savory chicken base soup.

Very spacious inside. The staff is friendly and fast. Could not believe how inexpensive it was here compared to other ramen places in the city. Will be back again and again.

Chicken broth based ramen! We got the #1, original creamy chicken ramen with pork (can also get chicken). The broth here is very fragrant, with the undeniable flavor of chicken. The first thing you'll notice is that the broth is thicc~ 😉. Seems to be thickened with a potato starch since the broth is savory and filling and had some slightly crunchy, but not raw, diced onions. (Almost reminded me of the Korean stewed chicken soups that are thickened with glutinous rice) The noodles are straight (can get wavy as well) but distinctly eggy ramen with a good chew. It was garnished with scallions, big pieces of wood ear mushrooms and nori on top along with the 2 good slices of braised pork. We also got a pork bun which was a good thick slice of braised pork in a steamed flour bun with a Mayo type sauce and lettuce. Didn't really like the execution on flavors, but just OK, nothing too exciting there. Overall, was a comforting meal but I personally do prefer the pork based ramen broths. Definitely would come back when I get the chicken soup cravings.

I prefer the mega sized paitan portion because I am always in the mood for some insane ramen. The flavors are always on point. The food here always has me happy and the customer services never disappointments. If you do show up at a busy time. The wait for a table of 2 people is probably 10-15 mins which is great. If you are solo the bar is a great option as well.
