Went to CityMD to get treatment for a severe cough and leg spasms. The PA recommended that I do blood work; I expressed concern that I had starting taking magnesium supplements. He stated that even a magnesium boosted blood draw would provide a valuable datapoint; he then proceeded to forget to order the magnesium blood work. He also recommended that I get an x-Ray to determine if I had pneumonia. I didn’t. He forgot to give me medication to treat the cough until I mentioned it; he then prescribed me prednisone, which had no effect on my cough. Talked to an office manager. She claimed that the PA had done nothing wrong because he never “confirmed” that he would order the blood work. What?!! We spent ten minutes talking about it. Also said medical director would call me. Still waiting to hear back. Am going to a real doctor’s office tmrw. Lesson learned. Will never go back

DO NOT GO TO CITYMD FOR A COVID TEST. I recently went to CityMD for a COVID test, and my experience has left me extremely frustrated and disappointed. Receiving an unexpected bill for over $400 is unacceptable, especially considering the availability of rapid tests for a minimal fee or even for free elsewhere. Navigating through the ongoing public health challenge of COVID should not translate into facing such exorbitant expenses. It is essential for CityMD to be transparent about potential costs upfront, ensuring patients are well-informed before making decisions about their healthcare. It's disheartening to see a healthcare provider contribute to the challenges individuals face in these unprecedented times. I hope my review serves as a cautionary note for others, prompting CityMD to reconsider their pricing practices and prioritize the well-being of their patients.

Zero from the door. Leaving a pregnant wOman with back pain standing for so long even after explaining the problem (many empty chairs) nobody cares. The inside is really not worth the wait outside. Go somewhere else.one area 3 empty seats And 10 empty seat on the other side. Really city MD? Is it because it’s Harlem?🤔 Treat the Harlem people better!

You can only blame covid on so many things. This CityMD has got to be the least efficient “urgent” care I have ever encountered. There is absolutely nothing urgent about this healthcare office. They force you to wait outside in the cold for HOURS, meanwhile there are dozens of chairs in the waiting room. Is it a covid precaution? Ok then TELL US. Put up a sign or something. But it is completely unconscionable to make people wait in line for hours with zero information on why. I have been waiting in this line since 11:30 AM, it is now 1:30 PM. This CityMD needs some sort of investigation from the powers that be that run this operation, because this place is DREADFUL.

Go to a real doctor, this location has absolutely terrible people! There is someone working the front desk here named Madison, with a terrible terrible terrible attitude. She literally prevented me from seeing a doctor because she kept trying to deny my Medicaid that's perfectly valid. She obviously brought some personal problem with her into work and was taking it out on people who needed medical help. Never come to this location ever. The rude staff will impede your medical care. City MD seems like a very unprofessional cash grab. Go to a real doctor's office who respects their patients.

During automated check-in, I stated that my sister had no insurance, as she is a Medicare recipient from another state. Staff could have accepted that answer, but they did some research and found that her out-of-state policy covered urgent care in New York. From the front desk to the nurses and doctor, all staff were super helpful. They tested both of us for a full range of respiratory illnesses, and gave great advice about how we could relieve our symptoms. We give them an A+ for their caring, understanding, efficiency, and for saving us a lot of out-of-pocket money. (As a side note, a man in the lobby wanted ER psychiatry services on-site, and he became caustic when they referred him to a hospital ER. Impressive how professionally and effectively they handled him.)

They were really quick in prime covid but now that things slowed down a bit, they have gotten super slow. Waited an hour to get a covid test with like 4 people in waiting room. Then the line starts outside and they take their sweet time. It's to cold to be waiting over an hour outside . While kids are waiting with their parents or waiting to get tested themselves. They need to do better especially since they the only ones around who test kids younger then 4.

I went there on Nov 24th, right before Thanksgiving . They made me wait outside while it was super cold for extensive period of time. After waiting 2, 5 hours, Asian female came in to the room stating that she was a doctor but didn’t introduce therefore I don’t don’t know her name. I had very bad sinus infection and my doctor was away so I was hoping to get antibiotics and feel better. She refused to prescribe me antibiotics and told me it was viral bacterial infection (WRONG). I lost one week of work as pain was so intense and only today I got to see my doctor who told me I needed antibiotics to treat this infection . Avoid this place as DOCTORS are not competent

Avoid this location at all cost. I have had negative experiences since way before covid. Including with my child who ended up developing a serious lung infection after they said all needed was to learn how to push out the flame and spit it. The staff is rude. The front desk treat people poorly. While I understand there are times when people are can be rude to them that does not mean they should asume that everyone is rude and treat everyone as such. The wait is long and is not communicated in a way that makes you feel supportive and willing to support them. People have to wait on line outside like it is a food pantry and they have the security guard at the door. It is just not a good feeling. If you can go somewhere further down do, because the locations further uptown are unfortunately just as bad.

Great place. Clean. Well maintained. Convenient. Walk in flu shot. Front reception folks were super helpful with my inquiries: Thank you Madison, Cherybel and Danira! Unfortunately, the billing office could not resolve my issue and I had to pay for my flu shot out of pocket. I went there because they indicated the the flu shot was a walk-in and covered by insurance.

I would honetly give them 0 stars if i could. Front desk staff is not friendly AT ALL. They look at you as if your being a bother to them and talk to you with such an attitude. When i saw the doctor , i felt like he was rushing me out . He literally just checked my ear , mouth and breathing , i told him what symptoms i have and he said ok u have a sinus infection and prescribed me some medicine . He didnt try to give me a strep test or take xray’s . I went to another urgent care 2 days later , come to find out i had step throat and bronchitis . No help from that doctor . I was misdiagnosed and wasnt treated properly due to the docot trying to rush through his patient’s , and it wasnt busy . It was literally only and 2 other people waiting in the lobby . Only nice person was the nurse . She was nice and attentive , everyone else had horrible attitudes.

I came here because I had an abnormal allergic reaction. The receptionist took me to the doctor right away. They were all so sweet and helpful. They made me feel cared for and they even made sure to monitor after the needed treatments. If I could give them a 10/10, I would!

If there was an option to give no stars, I would’ve done so in a heartbeat. I came to this location Friday afternoon to check and see why I was feeling so ill. Unfortunately I was tested positive for Covid. Dr. K Britton came in to the room and told me the news. She was rushing me out but also asking if I had any questions. I felt disrespected because as disappointed as I was after JUST receiving a negative result a couple of days prior, I felt it wasn’t necessary for her to continuously ask me if I have questions and rush me. Before leaving, she told me to have a great weekend, which I found very disrespectful. City MD should have some better doctors with empathy. I was so upset.

Will not be going back. The front desk was SUPER NICE. Also the doctor assistant was nice to me as well. My issue is with the DOCTOR. As a black woman myself, i expect other older black women to be kind to me. She was dry, sarcastic, wondering why i didnt like to take medication. She made me feel worse than i already felt. She was rude, and didnt help me at all. So I will be going downtown to a "nicer" part of town next time.

Khaliyah is absolutely one of the most patient and helpful people I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Everyone from the front to the scribe to the doctor was fantastic. Thanks for the crutches and helping me get home safely!

The doctor scoffed that I had kept my daughter home from school for 4 days. She told me that since her temperature was not very high, I should send her to school. So, I did, even thought her throat hurt and she felt bad. Then, 2.5 days after the exam, they finally call to tell us her strep test was positive! I sent my daughter to school with strep. And now her little brother has strep too.

The lobby was calm and staff were helpful. The check-in was easy on the kiosk. The wait was short. The NP and her assistant were both very kind and responsive to my needs. My eye immediately felt better with her medical interventions. I found meter parking right outside starts after 8:30.

On Monday I saw a PA named Kiani Britton and I found very unprofessional and condescending. I came in for chronic migraines and she wanted a urine sample which was fine. I had no problem giving that, I just didn’t needed to go at that moment. I asked for water which her medical assistant was nice to give me a few times. It’s been almost an hour and the PA is pressuring me to go and that I’m not trying enough. I kept saying I’m sorry, I’m trying I really can’t go now and she rolled her eyes at me. I ended feeling worse than I started from how she made me feel. I wasn’t trying to be difficult, I know how it can be, I’m a medical professional myself. She kept interrupting me when she asked me questions and judging my answers. Never again will I be coming back here anymore.

Dr Kang and her team were great. Efficiently run, short wait time during weekday eve. Clean. Poor billing department: quick self sign in but insurance information does not get updated with this mechanism. Called to get this fixed and I am still receiving bill . I have used summit health services before and they are quick to send you to collections .

I went in on 3/3/22 after I cut myself using a kitchen mandolin. They took me back within 5mins and had me (liquid) stitched up and had administered a tetanus shot within 30min. The nurse and care provider we so incredibly kind and thorough. I feel so grateful to have such caring medical professionals so conveniently located. I realize that Covid made things a mess in many places but in my experience the care here is usually pretty great!

Go somewhere else. They do not know what they are doing/talking about. I was prescribed before being diagnosed. I was giving wrong information about their policies. Apparently you can get seen without ID, but if you do not have your ID in front of you when they decide to call they won't give you any information. Amazing. Enter at your own risk. My family is filled with LPNs and they all said they will never come here after hearing what the doc told me. He sounded unsure. Prescribed me anyway without diagnosis.

The entire team on 02/08/2022 were so professional. As well as being concerned about how I was feeling. Check in was great! I was called within 5 mins! My vitals were taken and my concerns were answered. Great place to go when not feeling well. Thank you CITYMD Harlem .

I had an amazing experience here , i was treated immediately as soon as the doctor witnessed my allergic reaction. I was monitored as we awaited the ambulance, because of her i became better shortly after. I appreciated the urgency and care i was given that day.

I have not been to this location for over a year. I paid all me bills by the end of 220. This morning I got a "over due bill" for $300 . It says Office/Other Outpatient Services 1 charge OFF. VISIT, EST,LOW/MD COMP - 99213 Off. Visit, Est,Low/Md Comp. I only ever went there for covid testing and see see about my scratched thought. Which my insurance covered and I was only charged $25. This was not on my "bill" and now all of sudden they're trying to get money out of me.

So to be honest my experience was distasteful. The reception area, aka the welcome area, was extremely negative and unwelcoming. I came in and when I spoke to the front desk person I informed her that I had Medicaid however I had not picked a plan yet. She immediately told me that "they" do not take "straight Medicaid" and I should seek help elsewhere. I informed her that "the Medicaid was used already so I should have some type of plan". She said "she was unable to check what plan I have and advised I seek help elsewhere again". So now I dig in my bag to look at my mail from Medicaid and it had an application for me to join a plan. It had an online option and I started it. I asked the same front desk person "what plans do you guys take". She asked "why". I said "because I'm online trying to select a plan". She informed me that "even if I select a plan today that they take, I still would have to go to a different location because it would take 30 days to become active". I was shocked. So finally I say "miss I need help there has to be a way to be seen". She stated "well you can sign a contract that says I'm responsible for the payment if my insurance doesn't pay". I said "yes give me that form then". So after I filled it out and signed I asked "why didn't you just say I had this option instead of turning me away". My question was ignored and unanswered. After that I had a great experience however at the front you should never deter anyone from getting medical help. Give options. For medical help I think people should be warming and welcoming not cold and dismissive. Also to add, when I went online at work the next day and signed up for the Fidelis plan they gave me an active date of the same day 5/25/2022. So now was what the front desk person said a lie? This visit was extremely distasteful.

I went into CityMD on West 125th Street last week due to chest pain on my left side. I was seen almost immediately, and the physician who treated me advised me to go to the ER for follow-up. She seemed concerned about my health & wellness, and for the treatment I received, I was most appreciative. My fears were eliminated once I went to the ER and received a clean bill of health that evening. It’s best to be safe when it comes to chest pains, then to be sorry! I’m glad that I initially went to CityMD for medical care.

It's a great place here. I required medication because my regular doctor was unable to see me. To make sure they accepted my insurance, I called the business. On the phone, they were quite pleasant. I enquired about the wait time because I was on my lunch break. They informed me that there weren't many people in the waiting area and that I could register online to shorten the wait time, which I did. was quite prompt. After walking there, I was found after about 15 minutes. Both the doctor and the nurses were really kind and competent. If I had to, I would go again:)

I'm only giving 3 stars because the wait was very long. I might of gotten there around 6:00 and didn't leave till about 8:00. The Male PA that I had was very informative, precise, courteous, and very professional. Simply put, on point with with everything. He wasn't rushing he crossed all his T's and dotted all his I's and I was satisfied with my results and prescription, With all that being said, yes I would go back to CityMD again Thank you

My experience was eh. I had complications from Iud and was in serious pain and fatigued, it’s no joke and the sickness is scary. The ONLY staff was super HELPFUL was Danira. She works in the front and she is the epitome of City MD represents From the time you get there she helped me, she saw my condition and instantly went into action with compassion. Assisting me get through triage, she saw the state of my condition I was weak. She gave me humility and took my needs seriously. She definitely deserve grace and made my experience better. However The manager Sam is very Rude, arrogant and unprofessional. She also was very aggressive and lacked any compassion. She also seems to have an anger issue because as Im asking her question about what do I need to do next, she seemed to be squeezing her fist and righting her face which was really weird and scary and I even asked if she was okay, and she hisssed. My doctor was okay however she was a bit sarcastic when I asked questions about my health. The issues I am dealing with are serious and have caused hospitalization. However no one wanted to take blood, it was all visual. It seem that her behavior when Sam was there was she was way more sarcastic. They both gave me referrals either though I have my own gyn but nevertheless. Sam gave me a mental health referral which was came off as condescending. Also it’s not like she’s actual medical professional so to imply my mental health it was extremely disrespectful and it really shown me the scope of this ladies arrogance. I wasn’t loud, argumentative nor erratic however it seems it seems me asking questions regarding my situation…Pelvic complications from IUD being in severe pain and explaining that the medication I was prescribed at beginning of month clearly was not working. My test results are negative why I am so sick? I had notes of my symptoms and pictures and dates they didn’t care at all. They kept telling me to not look at them or refusing to take it serious. They prescribed me naproxen that’s it. Sam also rushed me in getting dressed and asked me to clean the room which I didn’t even leave a mess I was given a gown I throw it out, Sam needs to be fired for real. Even leaving Saying bye to the ladies up front and thanking Dinara who gave me a lollipop which really was lead to me feeling somewhat better but Sam like a bulldozing bulldog even barked at her which was unprofessional and the reality that this women seems to be a cancer of CityMD was surreal. This problem in the healthcare industry it’s the Sams in the healthcare are the that at a time people are vulnerable seem to get off on gatekeeping your quality of care. You can not have someone with such low vibrational and apathy running your facilities. I will be spreading word, and hopefully you guys do the right thing.

HORRIBLE front desk personnel. Keychana and one other receptionist tried to give me the run around from being seen. Got seen, asked me to come back to provide them with papers that they failed to process. Called me 4x with no voicemail or reasonf or call. Medical assistant was nice. However, provider and MA were not clinically well rounded. Would not recommend
