I went in to get tested for something routine, called back about the results and they said they FORGOT TO SEND THE URINE SAMPLE IN. You can make an office instagram friendly and throw money at marketing as much as you want but it’s pretty obvious they don’t know how to actually run a medical practice. How do you just forget to send a sample in? They sent in a doctor to apologize to me and she basically admitted the founders of Tia have no medical experience, used to work at google, and don’t seem to understand that running a medical practice isn’t just about “aesthetics.” Major, major red flag to me.

Do not waste your time here. I did a fairly simple check-up with a blood test, which went off without a hitch. My results came back to me quickly and it was decided that I needed to do a second round of blood tests and an ultrasound. They told me both of these procedures can be done in-clinic, no problem. However, days later, they advised me that I'd need to go to Quest Diagnostics to do the 2nd blood test because "they have more availability." They also asked me to find my own imaging center to do the ultrasound. I also was interested in getting an IUD, and they said they'd contact my insurance to ensure that I was covered. However, they backtracked and said that I'd need to contact my own insurance. Tia has failed to make it easy/simple to get relatively straightforward follow-up care and services they said they could provide.. They have failed to properly contact my insurance when they said they could, and have required me to do more work to get the care I need. If you want to jump through MORE hoops, Tia is the place for you. Otherwise, go to another doctor's office.

I’m pretty disappointed with my Tia experience. I do want to say that the office, nurses, and front desk staff are exceptionally lovely and I wanted to steal the dressing gown thing I wore at my physical. However I feel my “whole health” care experience has been pretty disjointed and I feel somewhat forgotten and discarded by my provider. I went to this location for my physical, and a friend of mine who received care here got her blood panel results back in about a week. I had to reach out to Tia and ask for my results 10 days after my appointment, which was a little frustrating. Then at my follow-up, I was prescribed a medication that requires insurance authorization. My provider told me she would take care of it with my insurance and pharmacy. A week later, it’s still not approved. So I spoke to my insurance and they said the request for authorization was never sent to them. The doctor just prescribed a medication and….forgot to get it authorized? I understand that healthcare professionals are busy, but I feel like I’m doing all the legwork, which is not the experience I was promised. It sucks. The healthcare system is broken and money grabs like this are not the solution. High quality care isn’t easily scalable.

This place is terrible, they don’t conduct pre-authorizations so insurance denies their claims and as a patient you have to do the leg work to figure out why. They don’t listen to patient’s requests / needs and require a lab visit for long-term medications even if those are carry over medications that you’ve taken for multiple years and have had lab work done within 12 months. They are inconvenient for what is supposed to be a convenient telemedicine. I would not recommend thiS group which is a bummer. Do better Tia.

I used to be so happy about this clinic. They are all very nice, and continue to be very nice and helpful. However, they have cancelled my appointments 3 times at the very last minute, I take time off of work and they cancelled same day. I also got charged a cancellation fee even though I didn’t cancel the appointment, they did. Seems like this place is only good if you are wealthier and can afford wasted time and money. I’m really hoping TIA can fix this or else I will have to switch to a different provider.

I can’t recommend Tia enough! I felt welcomed as soon as I entered and checked into the clean, sanitized space. I arrived early and had basically no wait before I was warmly greeted by my nurse. She took me to the private room where they had a small closet for me to hang my bags and clothes so I could change into the Tia exam robe (which was so comfortable and modern!) Without going into exam detail, all 3 women on my care team were informed, easy to talk to, supportive, and professional. For someone who usually has tons of anxiety at the doctor, I walked away from my appointment smiling and happy that I had finally made the choice to become a Tia member.

*6/1/23* update: I have not rejoined Tia as a member, and don’t have any plans to. Since leaving, I’ve continued to receive calls, texts, and email communications as if I’m still a member. After my horrible experiences, this was triggering for me and I’ve since asked to be removed from all contact lists to have my information deleted. I was told that certain info needed to be kept on file for HIPAA compliance (totally fine), but received confirmation that everything else was deleted. This was last summer (2022), so I was concerned when I started receiving appointment reminders last week?? I contacted tia again to ask what was going on to reiterate that I do not ever want to be contacted by them again. I was gaslit and told I was lying and that Tia isn’t contacting me- I had to resort to sending them a screenshot of the voicemail and number. So demeaning. 0 accountability. Delete my information and stop trying to inflate your membership numbers. How embarrassing. To be completely honest, I went to tia after reading about the cofounders struggle with getting a pcos diagnosis. I’m in a similar position and thought “wow, I might actually be listened to here”. I was wrong. I made several appointments with tia, including their signature whole health exam, and left with even more questions. 1. I found no value in the whole health exam. It was a video call and a waste of my time. 2. In the clinic, I explained my situation and was met with raised eyebrows and confused looks. I felt absolutely embarrassed and humiliated. I will say the ultrasound tech was amazing - she made me so comfortable and walked me through EVERYTHING. Loved her. Lastly, I requested that my membership be cancelled in august. I received confirmation that same week that my membership would be cancelled. A week ago I received further communication from tia stating that my membership would be renewed soon? I’m so confused as to why my original request was not honored. I’ve asked multiple times why this was the case and I just keep receiving canned responses. I feel like this is super sketchy. I would not trust tia.

I was so appreciative when I first came and now it’s horrible. Steer clear from here if you need prescriptions on time and can’t afford to beg them to refill for months. They won’t deal with your insurance and tell you to do everything by yourself. They have made me cry so many times from the stress of this all.

i really want to like tia. i had lovely providers and staff, but i just don’t think their infrastructure works. first in office appointment they clearly forgot i was there and i waited over an hour and eventually had to leave. for my virtual appointments i have had issues with checking in, but the online chat has a return time of three business days and the phone number just keeps you on hold then hangs up. would love to see these issues fixed because i do see immense value in the concept.

I’ve always had a very positive experience here. I’ve been going for both primary care and gynecology for 2 years now. I’m a nurse myself and understand some of the challenges in healthcare but I’ve never had a problem with follow up and all my providers have been very thorough. Their online portal makes service very easy and accessible. I have not seen the same provider twice so I can understand there might be some issues with continuity of care if you are looking to always work with the same provider. That being said, my profile has notes which they have referenced so I know they can see my history and I don’t feel it’s effected my care. Would recommend for high quality providers!

My experience with TIA Flatiron has been life-changing. Never before have I felt every part of me cared for, in every way, by a medical team. Their whole person/patient focus, awareness and attentiveness to a patient’s emotional triggers/experience, and consent practices during interactions with one’s body, are unparalleled. I was nervous to have my IUD removal and insertion of a new IUD, and after an initial positive experience with my Whole Health Visit, I decided to place my trust in TIA Flatiron for the IUD process. The removal was rough, and my body reacted by spasming so much so that the measuring (first step of the insertion process) alone was impossible. We worked together to arrive at a decision to schedule a second appt later in the week with the doctor who is raved about as an IUD specialist. I was also offered a suppository to use the night before that would help soften and prepare me for the insertion (something that is no longer available in Texas; we in NYC are very fortunate). One of the revolutionary things about TIA Flatiron is their offering of a combination appt of acupuncture + IUD insertion, to support the body through an otherwise somewhat traumatic process. The day of insertion, I felt held and cared for from the moment I stepped into the facility. The acupuncture session, which was provided in the clinical room, was calming, grounding, and centering. After resting with the lights off for a very nice, long while, the needles were eventually removed, and it was time for the doctor to see me. Dr. Mo had me laughing right away, and talked me through each step of the process as he worked. He and his assistant got into a nice flow so that the whole procedure was smooth, and swift. All the while, the acupuncturist held my hand to provide pressure to a major pressure point. I felt so held, as though I had a personal IUD insertion doula! The fact that all of this was even a possibility in my lifetime made me well up with emotion, with gratitude at the forefront. I’m reliving that experience now, eyes glistening as I type. When the process was finished, I was gifted an aftercare package filled with everything I might need during my body’s healing and adjustment process- and more! I was moved by the care and attention to detail, and I am not alone there! I have since told dear friends about my experience, and we have each teared up with emotion, all of us wishing we each had always had this option in our youth, and grateful it now exists. I have endless gratitude for the team at TIA Flatiron. I cannot thank you enough for this life-changing, immensely positive, medical experience. I will continue to sing your praises to everyone who will listen. Thank you.

Update: I received a call from a manager who was very kind, helpful, and apologetic. I also received a refill. One refill though. I wanted to love this place. The concept is great but the execution is not. You will have a ton of mandatory appointments/copays. I've needed a refill for a medication that they refuse to give me more than 30 days refills at a time because I HAVE to book an appointment to "check in with the provider." If this is an expectation, they needed to notify me of that. 5-6 appointments/copays later, they're still providing me with one refill at a time, even though I've told the provider I want to continue with the current plan. Their chat is also not helpful. This was not a pleasant experience.

I have a lump in my breast and I found out via an online lab report from they radiologist rather than from my physician Tracey-Ann Ricketts. I spoke to Tracey-Ann last Friday (5 days ago)asking for details, and she has still not followed up to interpret my mammogram and ultrasound results. I have to get a biopsy but cannot do so until Tia provides a prescription/referral. One can only imagine how scary it is having to wait for this referral when I'd like to take action now. For something that could be literally life threatening, this is shocking and appalling behavior from Tracey-Ann. I can no longer recommend Tia. Front desk team is outstanding and responsive, unfortunately they are not empowered enough to help tackle all requests.

Pros: easy to make an appointment, responsive enough care coordinators, a safe environment for women, decent for simple visits such as an annual exam or BC options Cons: most likely getting treatments from NPs only - not saying NPs are not as professional or intelligent. I personally had some unexplainable symptoms that I was very concerned about, didn't get a clue or wasn't pointed to the right direction until I moved away and found a new PCP. Their referral is not clear either since you wouldn't receive a record/letter to see the specialist. Also to cancel your membership results in 3 more months of charges. Is it illegal? Not really (yes I looked into it. Good legal advices Tia is getting...) Is the clinic honest and patient-oriented? Neither. Verdict: As much as I regret to say so, 1+ year of membership proved that Tia is NOT a good option for getting your primary care. A lot of women like me appreciate a seemingly caring and innovative business model like this, but unfortunately Tia does NOT get the job done. For the sake of your own health and well-being, please go to a legit and knowledgeable doctor/PCP who actually knows about your health history and would take you and your concerns seriously.

Love the concept, love the execution, love the team. As someone that has seen a plethora of doctors and have issues with the lack of communication between specialists, Tia has been a game changer for me. I was able to schedule everything via the app and there was actually appointments available during times that worked with my schedule (and upcoming!). Prior to my appointment, I was able to understand what was covered by insurance and how much my appointments would cost via their chat service. Everyone who I've seen was fantastic and it has taken so much of the hassle out of healthcare.

I absolutely love Tia. As a bigger woman I have been fat shamed in every doctors office I've ever been in except this one. They only weight you if you want them to. Weight is only discussed if you WANT to discuss it. I also have medical related PTSD and this is the only medical space I have felt completely safe in since the events that caused it. Dr. Moritz is an absolute gem. Supportive and kind, and I've always felt listened to. He's never ended an appointment with out asking if I had any questions. The staff is amazing, the facilities beautiful. I now use their therapy services as well and that woman has me completely figured out... honestly annoying at some times haha. 100% worth it. I have yet to utilize the acupuncture option so I can't speak to that.

I have been going to Tia since they started and have only had positive experiences. I use Tia for my gyno, primary care, pelvic floor therapy, and mental health. It just feels good to be so cared for holistically and not be rushed out of the office, which is my experience with so many other doctors. As a millennial, I love chatting with the team online and their whole tech setup. Lastly, I'm a branding professional so I appreciate how cute their look is from their website to the doctors locations, even the robes are cutely branded! Highly recommend!

Absolutely nightmare- while the space and the staff are lovely, the entire admin backend is a circus. You'll end up on the hook for thousands, never be able to actually contact a provider, and you're going to spend hours trying to track down ANYONE. Really great premise that grew too fast and didn't have the infrastructure in place to actually deliver!

Tia has been a blessing for me. As someone who was extremely afraid of visits to the gynecologist due to horrible past experiences, I found the place where I can say I feel totally safe. I know this network of providers care for me and they show it in the way they do just about EVERYTHING! From a greeting at the front door, to the way they conduct my pap to make me feel more comfortable. I'm never the one to write reviews, but I wouldn't forgive myself if I don't share such an amazing experience I've had with Tia since I enrolled. I wish every girl and women in the world would get this type of access. One day! In the meantime, keep it up Tia team!

Wow!! I am so happy with the care received with Tia. Both in-office and online appointments are a pleasant experience. Everyone I've come into contact with from the Tia team (doctors, nurses, phlebotomist, and the super nice receptionists) has been kind, patient, and transparent about my care. I feel they really take your whole self into consideration. If you've had endo, PCOS, or any other long-term women's health issue, you know it's hard to feel truly heard and respected --- not the case here. Cannot recommend enough.

I have nothing but good things to say about Tia and the Tia Clinic. I’ll admit that I was initially drawn in by the beautiful and modern space which is different from any clinic I’ve been in previously. Their availability for appointments always makes things very stress free, as I usually have to book MONTHS in advance at other places, and an appointment (for TIME SENSITIVE PROCEDURES like birth control shots) were still not guaranteed. Everyone here is so friendly, gentle and welcoming. I’ve even enrolled in their Talk Therapy program and my therapist is incredible. 10/10 would recommend Tia!!

Tia cares about quality repro healthcare on instagram and that’s about it. They lost my ultrasound results - never told me - and then recommended a care plan which highlighted that the doctor had never opened my file. Read the comments here and take it seriously - performative IG posts and cute socks are where Tias priorities are.

Cute and aesthetically pleasing on the surface, but unsure how reputable it is for actual care. Trying to find an in person visit feels like a black friday sale. You aren’t paired with a primary care physician but rather have a different nurse practitioner to answer to each time. If you have an issue you have to make a virtual visit first, which ruins the purpose if you’re in physical pain. Because it’s a different nurse each time you go in/facetime, it can get very uncomfortable to share medical concerns. In my last visit I almost felt like I had to convince the nurse I was there for a reason. She told me I didn’t “strike her as somebody experiencing an issue”. For most medical concerns urgent care is honestly a better option, or just finding a different location. Really wanted to like this spot but I may just end my membership soon!

I’ve been using Tia for a little over a year now and I absolutely love it. Getting an appointment for any issue is easy and fast, and the providers are always extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. The Flatiron office is always clean and comforting. I would highly recommend Tia to anyone!

I've always had a wonderful experience at Tia Flatiron. I've been 4-5 times for various reasons and I've always felt understood and at ease. Booking an appointment is really easy and the virtual appts have been great. Extra special thank you to my care team who made my recent annual checkup and blood tests less scary!

I went for an in-person visit today and had a great experience. All of the staff and providers were professional and kind which put me at ease. The office is a nice and calming environment which truly does make a difference. I had a 9am appointment and waited less than 2 minutes to be seen. I was easily able to schedule a follow up appointment and transfer my prescriptions at the front desk and the employees at the front desk were so nice.

I'm obsessed with Tia and tell all of my friends about the awesome work they do! I've been receiving my primary, women's health, and therapy from Tia for over 2 years. I love their Clinic and always feel welcomed and comfortable. The staff is world class and the Concierge is so helpful. I always feel like my health is under control and I have a team supporting me which is such a relief. Tia REALLY goes the extra mile for women and makes healthcare fun and safe.

I love the Tia Clinic!! Been going there mostly for group acupuncture and have consistently had an amazing experience. Group acupuncture appointments are super affordable—that alone has made my annual membership basically pay for itself. The space is unbelievably beautiful and well thought out, and I love the acupuncturist, Elana. My appointments are consistently on time (though I wouldn’t mind waiting longer in the beautiful waiting / living room area), and I never feel rushed during the appointments. Elana always listens patiently and without judgement to all my concerns, and makes sure to take the time to thoroughly discuss and address each of them. She even keeps track of and follows up about each issue I’ve brought up in past appointments. I really feel heard, understood, and cared for— which seems like it should be a given for a healthcare experience, but it somehow feels revolutionary. I always leave feeling refreshed and luxurious. I'm disappointed that I haven’t had a need to see the OBGYN yet, because she seems wonderful! Never thought I’d look forward to having to go to the gyno.
