Richard
Tan
MD,
might
have
whatever
issues
with
black
neurodivergent
women
who
knows
but
I
an
unsuspecting
patient
simply
walking
in
for
a
work
physical
was
instead
accosted
by
his
incompetence
and
biases.
Go
to
an
intersectionality
seminar
you
plebian.
Anyway.
My
BP
was
high.
It
always
is.
I
rarely
am
listened
to,
feeling
safe
or
comfortable.
I
suffer
greatly
from
hypervigilance.
I
also
tend
to
give
worse
readings
if
practitioners
continue
to
test
my
BP.
It's
a
sensory
issue
and
I
am
neurodivergent.
The
cuff
tightening
on
my
arm
is
a
visceral
sensation
I've
had
to
deal
with
since
my
childhood.
Instead
of
listening
to
me
he
told
me
to
go
to
the
ER.
I
have
a
lot
of
medical
tied
trauma
and
have
often
listened
to
this
advice
in
the
past
only
to
find
out
a
"professional"
blows
things
out
of
proportion
in
order
to
scare
me
into
care.
New
Flash,
if
I'm
aware
of
my
medical
highs
and
lows,
I'm
already
active
in
my
own
care.
He
threatened
not
to
sign
off
on
my
medical
clearance
if
I
didn't.
I
went
to
Mount
Sinai,
their
ER
was
less
stressful
though
I
am
mid
anxiety
attack
at
this
point.
The
attending
doctors
talk
to
me,
"Yeah
your
blood
pressure
is
high.
How
do
you
feel?"
"Fine.
I
was
fine
at
least.
Now
I
feel
really
upset."
"Yeah
I
can
tell.
We
don't
treat
numbers
though."
LET
ME
REITERATE
SHE
TOLD
ME
THEY
DONT
TREAT
NUMBERS.
I
got
home
late
after
being
discharged
completely
forgetting
about
why
I
needed
cityMD
in
the
first
place,
my
med
clearance
for
work.
So
I
go
back
after
a
few
days
of
avoiding.
They
tell
me
actually
still
can't
you
took
too
long
to
come
back,
wow.
Sounds
like
they
should
have
emphasized
that.
Whatever.
Have
to
push
back
going
back
to
work
much
to
my
superior's
dismay.
I
return
friday
the
22nd
to
finally
get
my
medical
clearance.
I
don't
know
if
they
just
don't
do
it
often
but
there
was
supposed
to
be
documents
to
fill
out.
Whatever.
I
send
them
what
I
actually
needed
to
be
filled
out.
I
haven't
been
back
to
work
for
two
weeks
at
this
point.
School
has
already
started.
I'm
not
a
gym
teacher
so
my
blood
pressure
doesn't
really
factor
in
like...
anything
I
do
lol.
The
issue
being
this
was
taking
forever.
Instead
of
being
empathetic
with
me,
like
does
he
not
realize
this?
I
need
this
to
WORK.
He
says
"actually
I
don't
feel
comfortable
doing
the
physical
clearance
but
I'll
do
the
other
page."
Oh
wow.
Thank
you
so
much
RICHARD.
NOW
I
STILL
CAN'T
GO
TO
WORK
:)
It's
almost
like,
you
should
lead
with
that
kind
of
thing.
I
don't
WANT
to
go
to
CITYMD
for
this
buddy.
I
HAVE
to.
For
my
job.
If
I
could
go
to
a
doctor
who
knew
me,
don't
you
think
I
would've
done
that?
No,
you
probably
think
I'm
like,
mentally
deficient
or
something.
Obviously.
Very
great
doctor.
Very
human.
If
you're
a
BIPOC
fem
presenting
individual
I
totally
recommend
this
guy
if
you
want
unnecessary
stress
which
incidentally
raises
BP,
salt
shoved
into
your
medical
trauma
wounds
and
your
therapist
to
get
an
earful
and
emergency
check
ins.
Richard
is
the
guy!
Thanks
Rich.
