TLDR;
Good
standard
of
care,
obnoxious
late
policy
I’ve
became
a
patient
at
Juno
Medical
when
my
OBGYN
joined
the
practice.
I
mentioned
to
her
that
I
needed
a
primary
care
physician
and
she
mentioned
that
this
practice
had
them,
so
I
made
an
appointment.
I’ve
been
had
a
few
primary
care
physician
appointments
here
without
incident.
I
normally
go
once
a
year
for
routine
checkups.
I
scheduled
a
follow-up
appointment
this
last
Friday
with
Dr.
Mendoza.
Apparently
they’ve
changed
the
late
policy
to
a
five
minute
grace
period
since
I
last
went.
After
traveling
from
Brooklyn
to
Harlem,
I
got
to
the
office
at
4:37
p.m.
for
my
scheduled
4:30
appointment.
I
was
informed
by
the
receptionist
that
I
had
passed
the
five
minute
period
(
by
two
minutes)
and
that
I
may
have
to
reschedule.
The
receptionist
then
told
me
that
I
had
to
reschedule
bc
the
doctor
was
with
another
patient.
It
was
the
end
of
the
day,
but
no
one
else
was
in
the
waiting
room.
I
declined
and
left.
I’d
wasted
an
hour
traveling
to
the
doctor
to
be
turned
away,
why
would
I
want
to
reschedule
with
a
medical
practice
with,
what
I
believe
to
be,
an
unreasonable
late
policy.
It’s
NYC,
things
happen
while
commuting.
As
I
reached
the
train,
I
received
a
message
that
my
appointment
had
been
cancelled
(
by
Juno
Medical)
and
that
I
was
now
going
to
be
charged
a
$30
cancellation
fee
for
an
appointment
that
I
DID
NOT
CANCEL
outside
of
the
cancellation
window.
Before
I
get
the
autogenerated
response
to
this
review,
I’ve
already
emailed
my
grievances
to
the
Juno
email.
Btw,
emailing
or
sending
a
portal
message
is
the
only
way
to
get
in
contact
with
a
live
person
at
this
practice.
I
was
excited
for
this
medical
practice,
as
they
staff
POC.
The
standard
of
care
offered
is
good,
which
is
the
only
reason
I
gave
three
stars,
but
you’ve
lost
a
patient
due
to
your
inflexible
lateness
policy.
It’s
hard
enough
finding
black
and
brown
physicians
and
this
policy
adds
another
barrier
to
care
and
medical
access.
