I usually never write reviews, but I don’t want anyone else to go through the same experience as I did. I had an annual physical appointment booked with Dr. Wang at 9:30AM. I arrived 15 minutes earlier like they asked me but had to wait 45 minutes in the waiting room before being called in by a nurse. After the nurse asked me basic questions, he told me that the doctor would come in any second, but I proceeded to wait another 20 minutes. When the doctor came into my room, it wasn’t even Dr. Wang but the NP who saw me. She asked me a lot of questions but didn’t really tell me anything or give me advice to the concerns I addressed. She said she would just run a detailed test from my bloodwork. I was told to go to the in-house lab to get my blood drawn, and I had to wait an additional 15 minutes. I got in trouble from the nurse for fasting too long and not drinking water, but how is that my fault when I had to wait for over an hour to see the doctor and get my blood drawn? It’s been almost two weeks since I got my blood test, but I still have no results. I tried to call the doctor’s office several times last week but kept getting directed to a voicemail saying that someone would call me back. However, no one reached out to me again. Finally, after calling them every day, someone picked up. I told her my concerns about my results, and she said that the portal was down and that she would upload my results as soon as possible. However, she gave ma call back saying my results would not be ready for another 1.5~ 2 weeks. Had I known my blood results would take almost a month to come out, I would have gone elsewhere. Also, the NP told me that I would get my results back with an analysis on the online messaging portal, but I was told by the office that I would need to make a follow-up appointment to talk about my lab results. I do not understand why they can’t just talk about my results online like every other doctor’s office. I’ve seen other multiple reviews about people’s horrible billing experience, and I am concerned to see what my bill is going to be. It’s already almost been two weeks, but I have not been notified by anyone about my bill. I should have done better due diligence about people’s experiences here. Please do not make the same mistake as I did and go somewhere else.

How can this place not be a medical scam? 1. I call in to do an annual check up. The office confirm that I am in network. After my visit, I receive a bill of $400+! I called the billing department for 2 weeks, sent numerous email and then they told me that I had a deductible that is not met! I argue that I was not informed about the deductible while I call in to confirm, the billing department said that it was supposed to be my job to check with my insurance about deductible and coverage. (Trust me, I've see so many doctors over the years, if there is deductible, the office would always inform me in advance.) Therefore I am stuck at a very awkward position, I either allow them to rip off money from me, or allow them to send the bill to credit collection. 2. I made a follow up appointment with the office. While I was arguing with the billing department. I asked them to check the cost for the next visit"" the guy told me that I am in network and he can get back to me by the end of day. (But my appointment is in two days time!) Given that they are so hard to reach by any mean of communication, I pressured that guy to call my insurance company while putting me on hold. Later he told me that I have another $200 deductible to be paid for that visit. 3. I have agreed to be ripped of by MOM and set up a payment plan. However this morning I saw a FINAL NOTICE of payment. I saw a new statement, which is 1 month later than my initial statement. two statement are exactly the same, and they ask me to pay in 10 days or they would send to a credit collection company. I called the office 5 times and left a voice mail. They replied my email saying that they don't see duplicate bill. 4. I will post more updates here in the future. I'm so sad to see all the google review here. At first i blame myself for not doing my due diligence, but there are so many people here complaining about the same issue that i go through!

I have never written a negative review before, but in this case it is merited. I've been to lots of doctor's offices and never had an experience like this. If you go here, expect unexpected fees, unhelpful doctors, and bad service. I've never had such a distinct feeling that I was being charged for as many things as possible. I was charged about $175 out of pocket for an annual physical and spent a long time on the phone with both my insurance and Medical Offices of Manhattan trying to sort out all the charges. I would not go back. As part of the annual physical, I got lab work done. Regardless of the lab results, the office required me to return in person to discuss the lab work - so, I had to pay a $125 deductible to come for a five minute visit for the doctor to tell me that my results were all normal. They refused to do this by phone and they have no online messaging portal. Again, the goal seems to be extracting more fees. I also got a bill for a deductible for the annual physical itself. My insurance company said that Medical Offices of Manhattan had added several additional visit codes in addition to the preventive care physical, and that they billed me for those. It took several emails and phone conversations to convince Medical Offices of Manhattan to re-code the annual physical visit, and I still ended up with a charge that they billed to my card. As for the doctor's visit itself - my time with the doctor was extremely brief. She asked me very few questions - few of the typical annual physical questions about my health, lifestyle, and family history. When I brought up some health concerns, she referred me to specialists within the practice without asking more questions. I felt like the goal was to get more co-pays out of me rather than to actually engage with me and provide care. Don't go here. Improper fees for bad patient care.

Dr. Kakoulos was extremely helpful and attentive. I appreciated that all the lab tests and ultrasounds can be done at the clinic (vs. having a bunch of follow-up appointments). The rooming nurse and ultrasound tech were also very kind. I had a great experience and am grateful to have found a great primary care practice in NYC!

I do not recommend the Medical Offices of Manhattan. They try to overcharge patients and steal their money!!! I had an appointment for an annual visit with Dr. Julian. She was very nice, and addressed my concerns, though I will say that the visit felt very impersonal and I was just "another patient" that was coming through the office. At this appointment, it turned out that my blood pressure was elevated, so she recommended that I come back in for a follow-up appointment in a month. I was charged a co-pay of $25, which was sent to my email. I returned to my follow-up appointment a month later. Dr. Julian's nurse checked my blood pressure and it was normal. Since I have a family history of high blood pressure, Dr. Julian recommended being sent home with a blood pressure machine and monitoring it for the next month. At the end of the visit, I was charged the co-pay of $25 and then a $150 fee. When I inquired about the $150, I was told it was "because of my health insurance deductible which is $500 and next time I will be charged $150 again." I was confused, because my deductible is $250 and I had no procedure or anything done to be charged an additional fee, but the receptionist seemed uninterested and didn't offer any other explanation. When I reached out to my health insurance, there was no claim listed on my account. The representative I spoke to said that I should not have been charged this fee at all. He put me on hold and called the Medical Offices of Manhattan. When he returned to my call, he told me that his interaction with the receptionist at the office escalated and he ended up speaking to a supervisor. This is what he was told: ALL patients are charged $150, regardless of their health insurance, which is meant to be used towards any future procedures that *could* be billed to the patient. This fee has nothing to do with a deductible. In my case, he told me that what would happen is the claim will be filed with my insurance who will say I was overcharged and then the office will offer me a refund. However, I do not feel confident that this would have happened if I did not get my health insurance involved. This goes to say, I immediately cancelled my next appointment and I will not be going back to Medical Offices of Manhattan. I do not recommend this practice to anyone!

FINAL EDIT: Thank you too Mary and Stephanie for getting these fees waived. While I wouldn't recommend coming here, the office has been very helpful. EDIT: Just wanted to say its been over a month since my visit and I have accrued 8 charges amounting to over $1800 all for this one annual check up (and the charge for the actual physical still hasn't shown up yet). The office has been helpful and responsive over email but it is so frustrating that every few weeks a new charge pops up that I need to go back to them about. It is so deeply unsettling knowing that at any moment another unexpected $500 bill can pop up for something that happened a month ago. I am INCREDIBLY frustrated with my experience at this office. I have never left a review for anywhere before but I feel so taken advantage of by this office that I feel like I have to. As my first physical out of college, I felt completely taken advantage of for not knowing what services would and would not be covered under my one yearly physical with insurance (such as an EKG and blood work). Not only that, but even services I did specifically ask if they would be covered and was told they would be were not covered, such as a home blood pressure kit. I have been charged twice for this home blood pressure kit, amounting to $325. One of the charges is for a date that I did not even visit the doctor. They also refuse to discuss your test results over the phone, and when I try to figure out how much a follow up will cost so that I am not burnt again I cannot get a straight answer.

What an amazing place. The care, the thoroughness, the work these doctors, assistants, & all the other workers here provide. Outstanding. My husband came here first and I was impressed by them. I had to change my care to here. My old doctor never checked for things that MOM checked me for and I will be a forever patient because of this. I travel from Queens and it is totally worth it.

The service is impeccable!! Everyone from the staff the Doctor's, Physician Assistants are very thorough. They ask if you have any questions or concerns and answer all of them . It feels like an extended family that cares about my health and well-being. The office is immaculate, check in is so swift, you sit for 5 mins and the doctor is ready to see you. I was in and out Total time: 1 hour!!! Kinda sad cause I was expecting to stay a bit longer. Love this place 💕💕💕

Dr V was incredible. We had a calming and trusting vibe. He listened intently and didn’t rush me out the door to see another patient. I feel like I’ve found a doctor who will help me with a long term plan on being healthy.everyone in the office was lovely and courteous. The reviews I read were correct. Thank you Dr V

It was my first and last visit to this facility. I have moved, and it takes over an hour to get to my doctor now. So when I felt really sick, I went to MOM, because it was close. The receptionist was rude, demanded that I repeat the information I have provided at the online check-in (despite the fact that I was in pain and lost my voice) and practically yelled at me. The doctor suggested I start taking antibiotics before the test results (if it’s a virus or bacteria) were known. He also said that if I do have a virus, antibiotics would not help. Why recommend I start taking antibiotics right away, before knowing if they would help or not? I wanted to ask, but the doctor was in a big hurry and constantly glanced at the door. I understand that all medical professionals are always in a rush, that’s how the whole system works. But my previous doctor did not rush me like that, answered my questions (and I was not yelled at by the office personnel). But I must say the MOM doctor gave good advice about not stopping antibiotics should I decide to take them. The nurse was great, very polite and professional. She made unpleasant tests easy. Very good experience as far as the nurse is concerned. To summarize, choosing medical professionals based on geographic proximity is not a good idea. Will be returning to my previous doctor.

I just moved to the city a few months ago and was nervous about finding a new doctor after previous bad experiences. I found Dr. Wai Zaw at MOM through Zocdoc and already she had a lot of great reviews there. I can confidently say that the care I received from Dr. Zaw was exceptional. She listened to my concerns and was supportive of how I felt. Together we came up with a plan to meet my health goals and now I am not afraid of going to the doctor. I cannot recommend her enough! The front desk and check out desk can sometimes be a bit snarky. For them I would give a separate rating of 2.5/5.

Dr. Wang is great! I highly recommend. She is comprehensive and likes to recommend tests, specialists, etc in order to eliminate confusion and drill down to the problem. This makes me feel like she cares to actually solve problems and will take the necessary steps to do that.

Dr. Wang is a great doctor. It’s been more than a year since I last saw her but she remembered me and all my medical issues and problems. She took her time and did not rush through the exam. She was extremely thorough and very informative. She made several recommendations and gave me written instructions on the follow up items. Excellence in medical knowledge but also extremely personable, nice, and caring, and not one bit condescending. She is amazing. I tell all my friends about her.

Good morning, it was nice seeing my endocrinologist, Dr. Victoria Finn. I am extremely grateful for her, as she has helped me tremendously. She is a wonderful person and just an amazing doctor. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous. Both MOM locations that I visited were immaculate. It's been a pleasure so far.

In good hands! I was bummed and nervous when Dr Schmidt left as its hard to find a good doctor that you are comfortable with, and being that I live in NJ, I was considering finding a more local practice. But I'm very happy to report that I have been extremely pleased with Dr Zaw who has taken the time to get to know me and understand my medical background and personal treatment preferences. Additionally, I have the highest praise for Andrea V. She is one of their managers and has been absolutely wonderful in working with me over the last couple of years to navigate some frustrating insurance and pharmacy issues. She provides exceptional service, consistently going above and beyond and deserves all the promotions and raises!!

Great experience at MOM! I really appreciated working with Dr. Dibba. She was very patient and attentive to my needs. She listened and made me feel very comfortable during the visit. I will definitely be going back to her! The nurses were all very sweet and communicative. They were also able to get all the testing I needed done quickly at the office on the same day as my appointment.

Dr. Erik Schmidt is the best of the best! I just recommended him to a friend and couldn’t say enough great things. I have never had a better experience at a doctor’s office. He was compassionate —listened to all of my concerns — and gave me thoughtful, helpful responses. I felt extremely comfortable communicating things to him and asking questions. He gave me the most thorough annual physical ever and explained everything to me. Just wow…Dr. Schmidt is definitely the best doctor ever and I’m so glad I found him. The office experience was also a pleasure: seamless check in, clean, appointment was right on time and staff were all so kind, friendly and professional. Can’t say enough great things!

All doctors I've visited there in the last 8 years have been great. The blood lab at the entrance has the kindest nurses, who are quite careful too. I've used a number of different doctors, and they have always been great. My primary care practitioner helped me get rid of a nasty headache that no doctors before her were able to do - by prescribing me not expensive pills, but just good old physical therapy. If there's something I'd like them to improve, that would be their scheduling system and the website. But, then, I am a computer geek, so maybe my expectations are always higher :)

I’ve been coming to MOM for more than 10 years and each time I’m impressed with the level of my service. Kevin Chen and Dr. Julian are attentive to my complaints and provide me with the most current and up to date information, referrals and options that are best for my health. I really appreciate their professionalism and the supporting staffs professionalism at all times. I’ve never had a bad encounter. I highly recommend their service.

M.O.M is one of the best clinics I've visited. I've been a patient with them for over a decade, their staff, from the clerks and triage nurses, up to the Doctors ( in particular, Dr. Kevin Chen and Dr. Josephine Julien) are top notch professionals. They are courteous, friendly and caring, and are always willing and enthusiastic about hearing your concerns and answering whatever questions you may have . You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend them. They also have an excellent Cardiology Department, among other things.

What a wonderful doctor and office! The wait times are not too long (usually 15 minutes maximum). It's amazing how understanding Dr. Linda Wang and her nurse practitioner are. Both of them have never caused us any problems. The office personnel are excellent as well. They are welcoming and competent!

I have been a patient at this office for years and I intend to stay. The check-in process is simple. Scheduling and communicating with the office is easy with an option to use their chat feature. Staff are always courteous and professional. I always make an effort to see Dr Julian or her PA Kevin. They take the time to listen and explain anything I have questions about. They are prompt in responding to inquiries outside of appointments. I feel I am in good hands with this office and this team. I also appreciate that they have other specialties here so I can get my other needs met in house. Thank you Medical Offices of Manhattan team for the care you provide to me.

It was my first time meeting with Dr. Wang at MOM. I have to say that she has been the best by far. I received exceptional care from her and her PA. They answered all my questions, provided thorough explanations, and didn't make me feel rushed. At MOM, there is minimal wait time and friendly, courteous staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Wang for anyone looking for top-notch medical care. 10 out of 10!!

I just finished my procedure and Dr.Ahmad is quick and very thorough. He is supported by his wonderful staff, and my exam came out good. I recently had a first primary care visit with Lily Grobman. I didn’t have to wait for long in the office before being seeing. Dr Linda Wang is awesome. Great bedside manner, clear, thorough and personable. I feel very comfortable discussing my holistic health with her and she is great at communicating healthy habits throughout changing life stages. The MOM staff is great as well - convenient location, easy appointment and labwork scheduling. Overall a great experience that has made me look forward to an annual physical which is not always the case!

I've been a patient for a few months now and I'm very thankful to have found an office that cares this much. My first visit here was for an annual physical, during my visit I mentioned a few health concerns that I though were not a big deal. My doctor listened and proceeded to have me tested on the same day, he then discussed a plan to get me back on track. My health has changed to the better all thanks to this office. I highly recommend trusting them with your health, I have no regrets.

A friend recommended this clinic to me in 2016 and I’ve been coming here ever since. I really appreciate the professional and kind treatment I receive every time and I love that there is a lab on site so I don’t need to go out of my way to get bloodwork done. Ive been seeing Lily Grobman, PA-C, since I started coming here and I am always so comforted and impressed by the level of care she provides. A wonderful medical office.

Update: The office reached out nicely and gave me a full refund. Keeping my original comments - be aware of the billings of so called "follow up" visit. I went there for an annual check up covered by my insurance. Everything is fine until I got a $250 bill for a follow up visit, which was literally just my doctor went through the result report in 2 minutes telling me everything is good. They said it can only be billed as diagnostic office visit while there’s nothing diagnostic. They should at least inform the patient the cost of this when they’re doing the check up, instead of saying everything is covered, and give the patient options of not having a follow up visit.

I went in for (ahem) a “procedure” which folks should get every 5 yrs after a certain age, and everybody was an absolute professional. Made it a very quick and painless procedure. (Oh, be sure to ask the anesthesiologist about getting for the road”- great folks). Bottoms up! 😉

Dr. Vukasinov is the best doctor I have ever met. He listen carefully, explain to you and so helpful. For him I will rate the clinic 5 stars. But the office is the worst I have ever seen, they act the last minute. Just before your appointment they call to ask for this and that from the insurance, and the billing department same. And communication between them is zero. Today I have received a call from Ms. Mary - Billing department and she take a prompt action to resolve my problem. She is so understanding and nice and I did not believe how prompt she was. In addition to an email from Ms. Stephanie. I really appreciate those people who make the patient life easier and less stressful. Accordingly I am updating my review and rate.

If it were possible to give a zero score I would. Nice staff. Dr. seems quite capable. However, the team never forwarded my much-needed prescriptions to pharmacy and were non-responsive after multiple attempts at communication. I shifted to another organization and everything was handled promptly.

This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had at a doctor’s office. The office was beautiful/clean, the staff was courteous, and Dr. Wang has amazing bedside manner. She spent a great amount of time with me, asked all the right questions, and listened attentively. She also gave me all the tests that she thought I needed (or that I inquired about) and did not let me leave the office without feeling fully secure and informed. I am so excited that I found her!
