The staff was unprofessional. Called in my prescription to the incorrect pharmacy one I never used. My pharmacy was on file and advised at in office visit. I waited an hour at my pharmacy only to be told the prescription had been filled by the incorrect pharmacy the office sent the RX to. Dr Juan Garcia refused routine labs and COVID-19 antibody test. I was advised by his staff it had to do with cost which leads me to believe he had a personal issue with how much the insurance pays. It is not okay for physicians to refuse requested services based on personal reasons. This was supported by the fact I heard a negative comment from a staff member regarding the type of insurance carrier being used. Imagine going to the doctor for a routine visit and refill to deal with this that led to you being sick from the heat, humidity and limping up a hill with a knee injury. Save yourself the headache. I always liked City MD and referred friends. I definitely have changed my mind after this visit. This was the worse experience I ever had. I wonder how many other patients were treated this way and had setbacks?

I had an appointment with the urgent care place across the street (Northwell urgent care). I had chosen them because of reviews, when I arrived Northwell told me they could not perform an x-ray and sent me across the street to CityMD. At first I was disappointed because of negative reviews I had seen online, but, as a walk-in I was seen after a 15 minute wait and given a lot of attention from the CityMD staff and doctors. I felt seen and my condition was diagnosed and treated. I would recommend them to anyone with baseline insurance. I received great medical care very quickly and I am so happy I was sent across the street! P.S. my excellent doctor was Dr. Sultan according to medication bottle I received.

Avoid this place at all cost. The facility is nice and shiny, but the staff, receptionists, were rude. The doctor I was dealing with, Camilla Castellanos, did not listen, did not explain. I went because of a bad cough and chest pain. She had a Covid test and chest x-ray performed, told me I didn't have pneumonia or Covid. Period. Did not even listen to or address the chest pain. The web site said that waiting time was 10 minutes, but I waited nearly two hours. They all mumble through their masks and plastic dividers. The only person who was decent and professional was the x-ray technician.

The service was horrible. Nurse Coco did not check blood pressure or take vitals signs. She seemed annoyed when I asked her a simple question about converting my daughter’s height. She refused to give me her real name. She said that’s the name she’s called be in the office. Very unprofessional. No bedside manners. I had to ask the doctor to check my daughter’s throat which was the main reason for the visit. I don’t see what’s the purpose other than a check to work in a field that’s supposed to help vulnerable people. I know your loved ones would not be satisfied with your services. I left the facility feeling unsure about any and everything they advised me to do.

the staff is very kind and friendly, but the visit is very expensive and superficial. I’ve explained my symptoms and regular tests have been ran. I’ve explained my back pain, and I’ve been sent home with a “stay home and rest” and still don’t know if is a muscular problem or something else.

Sometimes it’s not what you say but how you say it. I saw Dr Douglas Kaiden, upon inquiring about a medication that I clearly needed (and was prescribed) he chose to condescend to me instead of explaining physician best practices. How are patients to know about physician licenses? I inquired about a script and got a rant instead of a polite response / explanation of best practices plus a threat to prescribe minimum medication on his way out the door. Which felt like yet another arrogant physician wielding their warped / personal perception of grandiose authority around. It just wasn’t necessary, professional or kind. Goodness forbid a bit of bedside manner. Everyone is deserving of basic respect at a Doctors visit. I will not visit this location again.

This place was very clean and seemingly organized, but I was misdiagnosed twice, in a month. The first doctor barely looked at me, never examined me, and ask me one question… If my back hurt. The second PA was much more thorough, and referred me to a specialist, but the staff, who are nice, had a really hard time getting the info correct regarding the referrals. I found over both visits that the after care what are useless, and then I had to speak to medical records… And until I spoke to a manager… Couldn’t make headway to get anybody to understand anything. I would never go there again , I would not recommend anyone to go there.

The employees was nice . Location was clean.. The doctor was terrible, I was showing him what was wrong, telling him I’m in pain. He said there is nothing there, I was there for less than 5mins .. He sat and slouched down like if he was on a couch in his living room and just watched the assistant take notes. I went to get another opinion and the moment they saw me they told me I had an infection and thank god I came in sooner rather than later. My insurance was charged for nothing.

I waited over 90 minutes for a five-minute appointment in which the doctor (I'm not joking) told me to look up my symptoms on WebMD. I called later that day to request a refund and have not heard back after two weeks. Total waste of time and money.

I'm a 29-year old man and I had been hit pretty severely by the flu, with a high fever, multiple nights of delirium/hallucinations, and light-headedness. When I went in, the nurses and supporting staff were beyond lovely and emphathetic towards my plight and helped me register and rest while waiting for the doctor. The doctor however was extremely condescending and dismissive of my condition. By way of example: (a) When I asked if it would help to have ventilation in my room by opening by windows, he responded "who told you that?" (b) When I explained how bad my conditions were, he snarkily asked "You're 29 years old right?" (c) He repeatedly mentioned how common the influenza wave was to downplay its effect on me (d) He prescribed antivirals but nothing for my other conditions (e) Audaciously, on the antivirals, he directed me to go to a pharmacy 6 blocks away. When I reached the pharmacy in my feverish and light-headed state, they told me they were out of stock. When I returned to CityMD, the doctor had the gall to tell me to go home and, in my condition, call as many pharmacies as possible and see who has the antivirals in stock. When I asked if he could help or if the clinic had the medications in stock, he simply responded "of course not. it's a controlled medication". Point (e) was particularly damning and I'm grateful to one of the staff who helped me call around to pharmacies. Unfortunately (and I don't blame the staff member because he was very sweet and helpful, but the doctor for the way in which he prescribed this): (a) the pharmacy I was referred to was Alto which said they could only deliver the medication one week after; and (b) the Duane Reade opposite CityMD offered the same medication and had it stocked -- which I learnt because I ended up going to the opposite Urgent Care after my disastrous CityMD visit. If I hadn't spent $30 at Urgent Care, I would still be stuck with delirium. This doctor was atrociously unprofessional and rude and I have every intention of seeking redress on this. To reiterate however, the conduct of the nursing and support staff were unimpeachable (they are way too good to be working there).

Went in and was diagnosed with Covid. No mention of NYC website or treatments for people with co-morbidities. Basically told to go home and follow the five day protocol. No offer to prescribe antiviral therapy or arrange for infusions with NYC. On other occasions, CityMD has done a good job. In this instance, a self-test kit would have save me the trip.

I made a visit in June 2020, just received a bill from them for $200 in July 2022. I have paid $200 on the date of visit, and have a credit card statement to prove it. I called their billing department, waited 45 min first time/20 mins the second time, no one ever picked up the phone. I called the 104 location, they sent me right back to the same phone number and waited for another 20 mins and I ahgned up. I submited online contact form twice on their wbesite, both got to an error page. Although the doctor was nice, dealing with billing nightmare two years later is frustrating. At this point I do not know what to do with the $200 charge I have already paid. I would advise if you see a doctor there, be sure to keep any receipt for a few years for unexpected surprise!

Incompetence at its finest. Went in on Monday for X-rays that showed I have a broken toe. I asked for the X-rays, was told they would be given to me. They were not. Called and asked for them to be emailed. Was told I had to call aftercare. Called the number I was given and was promised I would receive the X-rays via email within 24 hours. Instead I received a PDF saying I had a broken toe, no images. I called AGAIN. Was told I would receive the X-rays within 20 minutes. Received nothing. Called AGAIN, was suddenly told "we can't email X-rays. You need to pick up a disc in person." They won't mail it or messenger it either. I do not live near the location. Now I have to hobble back on the bus with my broken toe to get what I was promised from the get-go! What a joke.

The clinic was extremely clean and the staff were very helpful and professional. I tested positive for COVID and the doctor did a thorough exam and took the time to explain the next steps that I should follow. Highly recommend this. The waiting time was one hour which I thought was reasonable considering the amount of patients.

The worse wait EVER, waited over an hour & there were only 4 people in front of me. Not ever again. Not worth it. They keep saying 5 more minutes

Waited for about 2 hours to get a few vaccines after being told the wait time is 20 mins. Ended up leaving without getting them. They charged me $225 dollars to wait for 2 hours — I had to call in to get the bill voided. avoid this place and Dr. Shamir. I was able to get my vaccines from CVS in 20 minutes tops and it was over $100 cheaper

The providers at this CityMD are helpful, caring, and professional. They listen well and provide high-quality medical care (better than some primary care providers I've visited in the city). The space is clean and well-maintained. Additionally, the hours are longer than some other nearby urgent cares which has been helpful when the care needed was truly urgent. I would recommend visiting this location for any urgent care needs.

Dr Nesheiwat was exceptional! I’m not sure if I’ve ever had a nicer doctor. She comforted me while I was in pain. She took me seriously. She came back more than once to give me test results and explain things to me. My regular primary care physician isn’t this attentive. So happy to have had this doctor help me when I was sick!

I had a very positive experience at the West 104th CityMD. I went in for a COVID test, and my experience was as positive as it could possibly be. The facility was fairly busy and I had to wait 45 minutes to get into a room, but that was a small issue in an overall very positive experience. Everyone I encountered there -- the woman who checked me in, the doctor who administered the test, and the doctor who gave me my results (negative, yay!) -- was friendly, polite, and very professional. I would use this CityMD again if I ever need urgent care, and I recommend it to others.

I needed a TB proof of negative status for an event; I went to CityMD at 104th and Broadway. Clean. Very quick. Sweet doctors. I never go to a doctor. But if I had to, I'd go here. Dr. Glover (f) and Dr. Serrano (m). A plus grades.

I went in for a COVID test and they also made sure to test for strep and flu as well. I thought the wait time estimate was accurate and good to know so I wasn't just expecting something else. The staff was friendly, looked at my health history carefully, and communicated details concisely.

Receptionist should honestly be fired. Wait time, ridiculous. They're better off burning this place to the ground and claiming insurance money than they are at providing a service. I would never go back to this city MD ever again. Avoid it at all costs!

Every time I have been here it has been a very pleasant experience. The sign in kiosk can be somewhat difficult for some people but the staff is willing to help. The waiting area is really spacious and comfortable. But I have not waited more than 20 minutes the 3 or 4 times that i have been there. The doctors and the assistants are very kind and thorough with their work. I feel like I'm in good hands when I go here. Also, most insurances are accepted, including Medicaid.

Front desk person was nice and actually walked from behind her desk to help me at the kiosk. Doctor was super cool. Clean and quick and courteous! There were other locations closer but I went to 104th street because my friend also had such a great experience with this location. Also referred my cousin!

I went in there because I was sick and they told me they couldnt check my insurance with the policy number. Instantly booked at another medical clinic and had no issues. It's a shame because this place is so close to my house and it seemed so convenient but your better off with a family doctor

So I started a TB skin test reaction test at a different city MD downtown, days before coming here for a reading. That's all. so no equipment was used just their time. I needed it for a job. I also need a provider to sign some papers saying they saw the reading and I was negative etc but they didn't have access to my previous vaccines because they changed their internal systems or something in January. The vaccines was part of the job too so I just needed a provide to also say that they can confirm I have them by looking at my patient history. So reasonable I asked for some time to go through my records from my private mychart at my main primary care to find very obvious vaccines like Chickenpox (Varicella). Basically just showing them on my phone. The scribe was kicking me out after 5 minutes of me trying to look for it and I'm just like ???? At the time I was getting the feeling like she thought I didn't have it because I was able to find the other requires vaccines or my job and for life in general like school lol. Mind you that this was such a commonly required vaccine idk how someone can confidently accuse another of not having it. Also the scribe was saying how they're so cool because they can do covid swabs and take blood pressure and I'm just thinking in my head "um okay I'm just making small talk lol." Anyways I paid the previous downtown cityMD for the test (of course because I did it there) and did the reading there later in the day because this cityMD was useless but this city MD has been trying to charge me for doing nothing. Please don't double bill me. Also humble your scribes please.

My very first time visiting this CityMD location. I was very impressed with the location, cleanliness, and the attentive staff. Everyone was very friendly and easy to talk to. Dr. McNamara was so thorough and patient with my many questions. Thank you all for providing such exceptional service.

I gave a ten rating to everything because from the moment my sister and I walked in (for Covid tests) we were welcomed with kindness and a gentle efficiency from the desk staff to the doctors. The contrast with the nearby Northwell urgent care (understaffed and clearly overwhelmed) could not be more stark. Thanks again.

There is an exceptional urgent care facility in NYC that delivers top-notch medical services. The staff is known for being polite, professional, and friendly. Upon entering the facility, I feel as if they have entered a retreat, not an urgent care center. The front desk staff, medical assistants, and doctors are all amazing professionals who work together seamlessly to provide high-quality care. In case of emergencies, this center is the perfect choice for individuals who require prompt attention. They offer a range of services including flu shots, blood work, and other medical treatments. Patients like me who have been unable to get an appointment with their primary care doctor can be seen here. The facility is highly recommended for individuals who require urgent medical care in the area.

I had the worst experience I've ever had in my life at this clinic today. I was tested several times COVID positive at home using the standard BinaxNOW test kit. Considering that I had COVID last year and my symptoms were so severe that another doctor prescribed PAXLOVID to treat my disease that time, I simply asked the doctor to prescribe the same medicine in today's visit. However, the doctor refused to give me this prescription because she thinks I'm young without severe medical history, and in her words "The medicine is so expensive that she can not just give it to anyone". No matter how hard I explained that my symptoms are really severe because of my long-term amygdalitis, which makes me really vulnerable and easy to be attacked by the COVID virus, she still refused to listen to me and did not give me the prescription. She even went out of the clinic room before I finished my sentence and talked behind my back to her colleagues. Moreover, the COVID test there was really not professional. The nurse just inserted the cotton swab very shallowly in your nose. Of course they are going to have many false-negative test results. What's worse, my boyfriend, who is about my age and is assumed to be "young", got the PAXOLOVID subscription last week at the same clinic. I feel the experience I had today is so unfair. The doctor was really unprofessional. I'm not sure if the doctor (a white lady) is racist to Asian, but to me, she is rude and stubborn and does not listen to the patient's needs at all. Moreover, I asked if I could change a doctor and file a complaint about the doctor. The clinic refused to do so and simply said that it's their policy. They even refused to give me the doctor's name to file a report and provide any instructions on filing a complaint. Moreover, I asked if I could receive an apology from the doctor, but they also refused to to that. All I want to say is that I was treated so inappropriately at this clinic as a patient. I hope the doctor could know that what she did was wrong and that the same experience would never happen to anyone else.

I was visiting from out of town and my sister recommended we go to your clinic. Walked in and was able to see doc quickly. The tech was super efficient, friendly and kind. Doc entered and said "I'm sorry you're not feeling well." So nice! I was pretty knocked out and they took tests and cleared me of some illnesses and ckd me over. Explained about new antibiotic type and got me out quickly so I could get back to bed. Really appreciated getting the antibiotics so i could start the course before I left for home 2 days later... Wish they were my docs! Can't thank them enough. Did manage to see Billy Joel at MSG before I got sick, now I want to come back for Andrea Bocelli!

The staff is kind and caring. There is a guard in the street level receiving/waiting room. The place is immaculately clean, and tissues and hand sanitizers are available. This is my 5th visit since it opened, and we are blessed to have it here in our community!
