This place is awesome. We went there 3 nights ago because we wanted some cocktails and end up here by coincidence. They have a nice cocktail menu, we tried almost all of the drinks they have, all of them served with great alcohol brands. I think we were served by the owner, a very nice and kind person who recommended us drinks and served us amazing cocktails. Music is ok, not too loud and it gives a great atmosphere. Everything was super clean and they served us lots of tap water, which we really appreciate, it helps with the hangover! Definitely would go back!

Super cute place! Came here for a happy hour fundraiser. Love the decor! The space really reflects Chinese architecture! I would definitely bring my parents to this space because I think they’d love the modern twist while feeling nostalgic! The drinks are delicious. One of the best espresso and lychee martinis! During happy hour it’s buy 2 get one free! Until 9pm I believe!

Not only are the drinks terrific - I had the Amigo Fuego - but also the service is great. We came to Helen’s after 1:30am and the proprietor Robert cheerfully seated us. His staff frequently came to check on us and refill our waters, which is not the kind of service you would expect so late at night, but is very appreciated. Overall the Helen’s had a warm vibe to it. We’ll definitely go back to get drinks late in the West Village.

Great service, the Fuego amigo is a surprisingly sweet drink but very delicious! Also try the octopus balls, they are a great choice for tables of 3-4.

This place is a fantastic cocktail bar! 🍸 Helen's has an incredible selection of delicious 🤤 cocktails 🍹 - definitely get the Rain 🌧️ It In and Espresso ☕ Martini! Staff 👨‍🍳 is friendly and the service is quick. ⏲️ They have plenty of indoor seating 🪑, the ambience 🎶 is fantastic, playlist ▶️ has epic 90's and 2000's music 🎵, and the place is beautifully decorated. 🛋️ I wish I knew about this place earlier!

great vibes !! came at like 5 on a friday and there was plenty of seating. honestly i didn’t love the lychee martini, but the espresso martini and lost in tokyo (their take on an old fashioned) were really good. the drink with the doctor (i forgot what it was) was also great! happy hour is buy 2 get one free applied per tab :)

Fun venue in the basement. Lots of seating, a wide open social/dance floor, and lots of space overall. The tokyo drink I had with whiskey was too sweet and not good, and the seating area closes at 10pm, which is a shame. Private party was going on the dance floor, so we had to leave by 10pm. Younger crowd, good 3-for-2 drink special, and good prices at $15 a cocktail. Would not order the Tokyo drink again though, and would not go unless there is no private party.

I recently visited Helen's for a girls night out and it was the perfect spot! The drinks and bar bites were excellent and the staff were attentive and kind. The design and artwork inside is so beautiful. Every detail was really thought through! The music was also so great.

Are all good cocktail bars found at the bottom of stairs? Great place not too far from Little Island and the southern end of the Highline to come for a drink, super tasty Lychee Martini and friendly bar service.

Underground cocktail bar with cool ambience serving asian inspired plates and cocktails. Calamari was the tentacles cut, which I prefer, it was fresh and delicious. The popcorn chicken was well seasoned and came with a hoisin dipping sauce.

Awesome place. The staff members are super nice. Angel the bartender was especially great. He treated us really well right from the beginning, made us feel comfortable, and made some excellent drinks. He gladly made me this off-menu refreshing whiskey drink when I asked that was even better than the signature menu drinks. The decor was also very nice, as was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area.

Great atmosphere!!! Good music not overwhelming or annoying lol . The bartenders are all super nice. Shout to Angel!!! Angel is super kind , friendly and makes a mean drink. Great spot for first dates or couples. Definitely say hi to Angel-- awesome bartenders and enjoy the drinks 😜 😊

Cocktails overpriced and not so good. Music ok. Restrooms are really clean LoL. Would not recommend.

Great for groups or a couple. I can't say enough good things about this place. I wanted a birthday gathering of some friends, some good drinks, some good snacks, Where we didn't feel crowded or unwelcome. Helen's spacious. The staff is gracious. The drinks and food are fun. It's great for groups but I could imagine having a gathering of just a few friends too. In an area that's rife with crowded hip restaurants and overprice food and drinks and rude staff, this is a gem. And it's beyond hip, it's super cool. Love the decor too. The music mix was fun, not too loud or soft. I love the decor.

If you’re over the age of 22, this isn’t really what you’ll be looking for. It has an intern bar feel. No phone service as it’s in a basement. The music and vibe are both off. It might be nice for a corporate event as there’s a large space for standing. The decor is severely lacking. It just looks like a basement that was quickly converted to a bar.
