Was here 3 times within the past 3 weeks. The first time they discharged me. That was fine. They looked me over and referred me out to a specialist. The second time I was admitted and they took good care of me and were concerned regarding my issue. However, they did severely bruise my arm trying to put in an IV despite my veins being very prominent. The third time, which was this past Wednesday [5-18-22], they informed me there was nothing they can do and I will just have to deal with it. This was the ER doctor. The nurse was incompetent and didn't even know to use the bladder scanner and she was the head ER nurse. Needless to say, I will never come back here and don't recommend anyone else to do the same. On a side note, I was rushed to the ER on Friday [5-20-22] to St. Luke's hospital and they were able to give me multiple options regarding the condition and allowed me to proceed accordingly.

I have been here before for my mammogram and I've never had an issue. The techs are super sweet and compassionate. When I was there on Jan 19, 2024, I was scared. The technician (never got her name) was so kind and put me right at ease. It helped that she was from West Scranton so we def had alot to talk about. She asked me if I was related to the one coach up at Valley View High School for which I replied he's my husband's cousin. The technician who did my mammogram needs to be commended for her sweetness, kindness, and compassion shown to me that day!

We were greeted and taken care of quite quickly. Angelo, in X-ray was so kind to my special needs daughter. It was a good experience

All nurses and doctors that I interacted with were AMAZING! They gave me space when I needed but was able to tend to my needs and knew what I needed when I didnā€™t. My labor/delivery nurse, Allison, went above and beyond and was absolutely fantastic! Dr Phillips was also very helpful and I had an amazing 1st delivery! Thank you so much to the staff! The facilities were very clean and were cleaned daily. I was stocked with supplies and was able to get whatever I needed. The only downfall was my husbandā€™s experience with the cafeteria on the weekend was very frustrating for him. He didnā€™t get to eat much and the man was not kind to him. The staff on Monday; however, went above and beyond for him.

The check in process was smooth but once after that I had to wait over an hour and a half before the procedure began. I arrived at 12:20 a bit before I needed to be there. I got checked in taken back to the pre op area. The process there for the intake information, blood pressure and iv port insertion took about 30 minutes. All went well until I heard they doctor was running behind and I proceeded to wait for my turn to go for almost an hour and a half. After the procedure when I awoke the check out process was fine. All in all I was pleased except for having to wait as long as I did. It was annoying since this was a scheduled procedure not a last minute or emergency so to me the timing should have worked better. All the staff I encountered were friendly, knowledgeable and respectful.

I had a baby on March 14th, and the doctors and nurses were very accommodating and helpful. I want to thank Morgan in delivery & Lizzy in recovery. Their lactation consultants Kathy & Gina are phenomenal!!! They really spent the time with me I needed to feel fully confident going home to breastfeed! Thank you to everyone in Delivery & Mom-Baby for making my son's birth go smoothly.

I recently delivered at Moses Taylor via c section. The whole team was amazing. Dr. Celestine is an amazing doctor there. The nurses for mom and baby post op were all Wonderful. I cannot tell you enough how great their lactation specialist was, this is my forth baby and I've received the most helpful and informative breastfeeding support I've ever received. They have a kitchenette there for family to use with a fridge and microwave and a snack bar. The nurses made sure my husband had pillows and blankets. Over all it was the most competent care I've ever received. Thanks Moses Taylor!

I needed a fairly urgent (not emergency) ultrasound. I was scheduled the same day. Check in was a breeze and I waited less than 5 minutes to actually have the ultrasound performed. The tech was incredibly professional and compassionate. I know Moses and Regional donā€™t always get the most positive reviews, but I would highly recommend given my recent experience.

I called multiple radiology facilities attempting to schedule a PET scan. Advanced imaging was the only office that understood the urgency of receiving this test. The staff was excellent, Julie was very kind and understanding and did her best to get me in a timely fashion.

My doctor had not faxed my mammogram request over. Marie in the office called and got it for me. I was so grateful. Because I was going out of town for five weeks and wouldā€™ve had to reschedule. She was great.

Had my son about 2 months ago now. I was freshly 18 and nervous about interventions and not having the birth I had hoped for. Iā€™m glad to say everything went almost perfect! My first L&D nurse Danielle was super personable and kind. She was very helpful through my decision to end up getting the epidural. I wish sheā€™d been there the whole time, but night shift came. Danielle and Dr. Bigus were very good about sticking to my birth plan and not pushing anything! My L&D nurse Dina was there for most of my labor and the actual birth. She was a little confusingā€¦ sheā€™d look at the screen as if something was wrong and not say anything which made us nervous. She took almost an hour to assist me to the bathroom after delivering even though I expressed that I had the urge to, but was scared to because of being fresh off the epidural and my 2nd degree tear. I ended up going by myself. My son had almost came before the doctor arrived. The doctor said she wasnā€™t even busy, it was the nurses fault since she didnā€™t get the doctor. Another nurse even told her she should when I was pushing and Dina dismissed it. I STARTED TO scream ā€œDr.Bigusā€ as they opened the door to get her. Within 15 seconds of Dr. Bigus being in the room my son was out. Dina had told me not to push and ā€œno youā€™re notā€ when I said I had to. She was not super rude. Not particularly super nice though either. My mom-baby nurses were AMAZING. Karen Butwin was so nice and helpful. She made me feel like I was family. Always quick to help. My night shift mom-baby nurse Nicole was also super nice! She would always listen to my concerns and be very sweet soft voiced when entering the room. Always brought me my meds around the right time. All in all I would feel very comfortable delivering at Moses Taylor again and plan to do so!

Advanced Imaging has been my ā€œgo toā€ for My MRIs, MRAs, CT scans & now my mammogram. The staff is friendly, nice, helpful & understanding. They make sure that their equipment is working properly. They also make sure that you are comfortable or as comfortable as you can get! Top notch facility!

This is the First baby I delivered at Moses Taylor. The staff is amazing, the doctors are excellent along with nurses right down to house keeping. They make you feel as comfortable as possible! Everyone has a great personality and sense of humor especially in a situation as such where emotions can be running high. I will always highly recommend Moses Taylor for their birthing unit!

I received a blood transfusion at Moses Taylor Hospital on referral from my hematologist. The process was very long, however, it was made extremely comfortable by the nurses who were very nice and accommodating to my needs the whole time I was there. My only concern would be for patient privacy as this is a large open room and the curtains around your treatment area are not drawn. You watch everyone else's treatment and vise versa.

I had a wonderful experience in labor and delivery. The doctors and nursing staff took such great care of me and my baby. I felt like my needs and concerns were addressed immediately and effectively. Their care was sincere and compassionate.

All of the nursing staff and doctors on the labor and delivery unit took great care of me when I had some pregnancy complications. They took very fast action to make sure I was ok and that the baby was ok. All of the nurses were so kind and caring, and everyone did their best to make me feel better. I am very comfortable to know I will be delivering my baby at Moses Taylor.

I couldnā€™t say anything negative about my experience in labor and delivery. Nurses on both the labor side and mom and baby side were amazing. The only thing that wasnā€™t great was how long I had to wait when I was scheduled for an induction, but I understand that emergencies happen.

Took my 12 year old son for some bloodwork. He is very nervous about it and the ladies there are always great with him. They are patient and help him relax. We were in and out quick and all went smooth from registration to blood draw.

Worst medical experience of my life. Went to hospital after flying back from Baltimore with extreme lower extremities swollen to the point I couldnā€™t bend my ankles or toes. After a few hours of random things like a cat scanā€¦. Not sure why though. I was told nothing was wrong and they only deal with emergencies. Iā€™ve since been diagnosed with sjoegrenes and am under going treatments and being tested further for liver disease. Iā€™ve since had multiple tests run as clearly I have a problem. Maybe not their type of emergency. But, serious medical issues. Horrible staff

No stars for this review. Only selected one because I needed to if I wanted to post. Went in for an outpatient procedure. Told to come in at 11:30 was there until 4pm. Not enough nurses in pre-op so had to lay in post-op for hours while everyone went ahead of me. Finally had procedure, and not 10 min after I woke up they had me out the door. Others they had them wait awhile to wake up and get together. Will never go back to have anything done there. They need to get it together. Very unprofessional.

I always have a pleasant experience when I have an appointment at Advanced Imaging. The lady, and I donā€™t remember her name, was kind enough to call the doctorā€™s office to get some information that was missing from my prescription. That was extremely thoughtful of her and I truly appreciated it.

I had a good experience during my procedure done and everyone was attentive. What I didnā€™t understand is why would the billing department not call you prior to your procedure to let you know of the cost of the procedure taking my health insurance into consideration. My insurance said that they will cover the procedure but when I went there I was told that I was liable to paying half of the bill. This is something hospitals should address with their clients at least a day prior to their appointment!

My nurses made labor such a happy, healthy experience. Uthpaula was AMAZING! Such a patient, caring, and attentive nurse, takes a lot to care for women in labor and she does it with grace and a smile on her face ā¤ļø Dr. Marji made sure to get the answers we needed and coached me through the process so well. Love seeing such amazing and patient women in this hospital!!

Went for a small procedure and althoughā€¦. Itā€™s not considered a fun oneā€¦. Marcy, Dr Hughes, Al & the rest of the staff were absolutely wonderful! Marcy was above and beyondā€¦. the questions sheā€™s required to ask were not just simple answers and became emotional stories for me to tell. In my fears for the procedure and stages of grief.. I felt as if I had just been talking to a friend! She listened with compassion and spoke with empathy & she didnā€™t have toā€¦ she made me feel so much better preparing for the procedure and afterwardsā€¦ I left there with a little less fear in my mind and less weight on my heart! In a busy facilityā€¦ her job & patients were her top priority. Truly appreciate a great medical staff that love what they do and for good reason! It shows! Wonderful experience.

I came in to Moses Taylor to deliver my baby girl the night after Christmas and ended up having COVID in the process. Despite the pandemic, this was the best delivery and recovery experience I had out of my 3 children. My older two had been delivered at Geisinger. I was given very comfortable accommodations here at Moses. The main reason why I am giving 5 stars is because of the nurse staff involved in both the delivery and recovery areas. Desiree (spelling?) was my shining light during my delivery. And every single nurse that took care of me during my recovery went above and beyond. AMAZING! What a great group you have! They are all gems and made my experience one I hope to remember forever. I apologize for my awful memory of names as this was 6 months ago, but shout out to Betty, Barb and every single Nurse working 12/26/21-12/28/21.

Colleen in MRI is amazing. I had a bright and early morning MRI yesterday and she was great. I was nervous about being in the MRI machine and she was incredibly patient and kind with me. She made me feel comfortable enough to do the procedure with confidence. I have had health care providers who think medical anxiety is a joke, and have treated me with horrible attitudes. Colleen was excellent and I will definitely be coming back and requesting her to do my MRIs in the future. She deserves a raise!!!

Moses Taylor has the best nicu nurses and doctors ever. In a tough situation they made my wife and I feel so comfortable and relieved while being there and when we had to leave our little one there over nights for the 6 weeks we were there. He is now 1 and doing fantastic thanks to the very amazing people in this hospital

This facility is very clean, staff is very courteous and helpful. My only complaint is the gowns the facility uses. I am a large woman and I don't like to have my body seen by strangers. These gowns made me self conscious and they don't have any larger ones. This is the second time I have had to go to this facility in less than 3 months. I came my second visit with my own gown so I wasn't on display for everyone in the waiting room.

Such an amazing experience. This was my first child and the nurses and doctors made me feel so comfortable, relaxed and heard. I would tell any parents to give birth at this hospital. I plan on giving delivering all my babies here.

We had excellent care at Moses Taylor Hospital. I dealt with the US techs, to lab techs to the labor and delivery to the mom and baby floor where all the nurses and doctors were nothing short of amazing! Our experience exceeded our expectations (and we heard nothing but good things about having a baby at Moses Taylor!)! If we could give more than five stars, we would. My husband was also extremely impressed with how well everyone worked together and how nice everyone was.

If I could give it less than one star, I would. We went for blood work because the Commonwealth Health lab in Dunmore, in the Exxon station building was dirty and they had no compassion. Our doctor recommended this hospital since it's also close to where we live. The bathrooms were also dirty. They never gave any type of instructions or prep pads for the urine sample. Even when my husband asked, the lady seemed confused by this question? It took a really long time to get checked in and wait to get taken back considering there were no others patients to be seen. And then the bills came. They billed our insurance company over $1100....EACH. For Blood work and a urine sample. Since we have a high deductible, we are responsible for over $1200... For 2 of us to have Blood work and urine samples. That's crazy. This part of Pennsylvania isn't exactly rich. I'm fact, I would say it's quite poor. Where are we supposed to come up with that type of money for blood work and urine samples every three months? Why couldn't they list their prices somewhere. The lady checking us in knew what we were there for. There was no mention of the cost. I have never ever heard of such expensive blood work in my entire time living in this country (over 25 years now). In fact, most of the time, we haven't been billed for our blood work. I was shocked by the bill from the dirty gas Station lab, which was over $100. So our two options close to our home are the really really dirty gas station lab or the almost as dirty but 6 times as expensive hospital lab. We might as well just forget doctor's since we won't be able to afford them or prescriptions or blood work again for many years after this stupid trip to this hospital! Don't ever get a disease in this country people. But more important, don't ever go to this hospital for blood work!! ***I called the number that the hospital left here on my review. Someone called and offered 50% off. However, they forgot to tell anyone in the billing department. This month, another statement showed up with the same large amount for each of us! NOT IMPRESSED!!

I delivered my baby in Moses Taylor during this past August. My spouse and I really appreciated the support we were given by staff. They have a nursery you can request to use at any time so you can rest after the delivery. They also offer food and snacks for free for the times when you might become hungry when dietary is closed. The healthcare staff are kind and responsive to your needs. I recommend Moses Taylor for delivering your baby.

I cannot express enough how this hospital is the top of the line. I am New to the area and recently got influenza A. I had to come twice to hospital due to the infection. Dr. Aikens and his nurse was amazing and the second Dr I saw on my last visit. This is the go to hospital. Top of the line. Recommend 110 percent. Best healthcare is priority šŸ™

I had to have an emergency C-section 7 weeks early. The entire staff was incredible from start to finish. They worked together seamlessly during the surgery. Our nurse, Mya, was so compassionate and stayed late to be with me in recovery. Jerome, the anesthesiologist, kept me calm during surgery. They made what was a very scary situation as good as possible.

I started with Dr. Gordon approx 2 months ago. My experience thus far is just amazing. Not just Dr Gordon. But his whole office. I just had some test done, and within 2 days of getting them I received a call with the results. I can't say as much as one negative experience. You won't be sorry. He is an amazing Dr. I found him by reading these reviews. I'm hoping I can help someone else find a good one like it did for me. You won't be sorry. Just the opposite.

Moses Taylor (third floor) staff had a phenomenal occupational therapy staff, conscientious support staff, the best nurses and doctors, hard-working social workers and a solid team approach. They worked diligently to adjust my medication combination and provided delicious meals along with an environment encouraging friendliness with other patients as well as positive interactions with staff. Thanks, team!

The staff at registration is friendly and helpful. The outpatient department is one of the best. Hoping Outpatient doesn't close. There isn't enough room at Regional for everyone. I do miss the staff at regional. The phlebotomy is wonderful. Even by herself, she still manages to get things done and is nice.

My entire experience at Moses Taylor was (and always has been for my previous births) such a wonderful experience!!! To the nurses, the aids, the doctors, cafe workers, etc literally each person's services were top notch. The nurse Mya and Dr. Celestine worked so well together for my delivery, I was even laughing at their witty personalities combined in between my contractions. By far my best experience giving birth this time around! Also, every single person explained in depth what they were doing, why they were doing it and constantly asked how I was doing. Well done Moses Taylor, well done!!!

Moses Taylor Hospital, I will say has a great Labor and Delivery staff and a pretty decent Mom Baby unit. However I am giving them 1 Star because if you come here they will have to separate Mom and Baby should any complications exist that require Mom to need ICU treatment. The Moses Taylor Facility of the Commonwealth Health System has become inadequate to handle these situations. Should you need ICU treatments if any kind even minimal you will be transferred to their Regional Hospital Facility a few blocks down the street to the Regional Campus separating a mom and baby during a critical time, as the baby will need to stay at the Moses Nursery. I believe the Moses and Regional Facilities would need to be consolidated and one building permanently closed to be effective at handling all your mom baby needs. Commonwealth Health System Board of Directors needs to examine this and provide for all reasonable medical situations in their facilities.

Just had my first baby and went into labor and delivery super nervous. That quickly went away as I had such wonderful nurses! Nicole delivered my baby and she made it such a positive and empowering experience for me, I feel so lucky to have had her as my nurse during labor and delivery, she was amazing. Dr. Drozdick made me feel comfortable during and after the delivery process, he was very gentile and professional. Cant say enough great things about Lizzy when she was taking care of me and baby after delivery and during the days leading up to going home. Lizzy and Nicole truly went above and beyond for me during my stay!

I had all three of my children there. With my girls in 2018 and 2021. Now I had my son Jan 2024 and it was an awful experience. Barely saw anyone ever, I was alone due to our car being broken down. The nurses were very cold and unhelpful, I left in tears. Not my first child so I understand I wasn't priority but I felt like I wasn't even a patient more like an inconvenience. Very upset with how Moses hospital has changed and it was not for the better! Before it was the first place I'd recommend to have a baby, now I will not recommend it at all.
