This is probably my second review ever, but they’re my new favorite coffee shop 💛 Not only were the staff (two gentlemen behind the bar) SUPER kind and informative (I asked a bajillion questions), I love their concept of zero waste. They have a lot of interesting, innovative drinks you can’t find at other cafes - Cascara, ginger husk, and coffee leaf - utilizing every part of the coffee plant. Also, I am not a fan of sweet drinks and was afraid the pumpkin spice latte would taste like your generic Starbucks beverage. The barista adjusted the sweetness to my drink and it’s DELICIOUS. The high quality of spices really come through. As someone who always gets a flat white, I’m glad I opted for something new today! :) I love their bright, cozy decor - great cafe to get work done. PS. They even threw in an extra drink for me on the house. Can’t wait to return!

A super cute interior, with plenty of varied seating options, from tables to couches to bar stools. There’s a bathroom inside and wifi, so it’s great for working. Although I have to say the wifi isn’t the best, it’s still a great study or work spot if you don’t need to heavily rely on wifi. Good coffee with hints of chocolate, and the barista is super sweet! Located a little bit further from the subway station, but it’s worth a visit.

Amazingly warm and welcome staff, super chic decor (love the brick floor and the plants) - can’t write a review without expressing every superlative adjective I have regarding the tasty treats (Parisian croissants, divine delights and I might have had one of those delicious chocolate chip cookies too). Enough positive about the food, I fell in love with the ginger husk but there are sooooo many great options for the coffee purist, and the tourist. So whether looking for an iced coffee, nice and beige or a cup of something intricate and more complex, aficionado coffee roasters is your destination. And you might just feel like you’re on vacation while you are there. Can’t wait to go back again!

Good and strong taste coffee, can give a 5 stars if the bakery was a little better, the 🥐 was squeezed to a thin piece lol. Barista that made my coffee was definitely working part time but appreciated for trying to pour a latte art! Not too busy, offers wifi, a good place to enjoy a coffee while staying for an hour or two.

Cozy, minimalist coffee shop. It is on a tighter-squeeze size, but not too difficult to still have enough of one’s own space to chill, chat with friends, or do laptop work!

Cozy coffee shop in new york. I got a cup of latte and a ham & cheese croissant and they both were great 😃 The barista was very nice and friendly. Also a great space to sit and work.

stumbled upon here while looking for a good coffee from a local roaster - wow. I found it. Had an espresso and a brewed coffee. Loved both, and bought a few bags of the natural Rwanda to take home. Loved the for-here ceramic too - if I lived nearby, I would visit more often!

Must try! Such a great vibe in this place, the indoor and outdoor spaces are well done. This is my favorite pumpkin latte to date! Made with real pumpkin purée and not too sweet!

What a delightful oasis of calm and coffee on 11th Avenue and 53rd street. I met my daughter here for a cup of coffee and a pastry and it was such a pleasant experience. The 2 workers behind the counter were so friendly and sweet and the coffee and cookies were first rate. It's a lovely and clean place to sit and chat when you have a bit of time. Afficionado is a true gem! We shall return.

Nice vibe cafe, not a lot of seats, more like grab and go. Matcha is quite bland. Haven’t tried their coffee maybe it’s better…

I live right across the street. Their croissants have spoiled me since. Now I can't go back to other croissants any more. The Jerusalem bagel style mini baguette with cream cheese and smoke salmon is also a real treat (I had it twice, once room temp and made to the order, and the other time cold - i guess premade and stored in the fridge - not as good as the room temp version). Both drip coffee ( I get most often) and espresso drinks are top notch. Even their decaf beans are great - which is rare in the decaf world. Staff is always friendly and give good vibes. I enjoy their outdoor seating a lot although their indoor furnitures are quite stylish too. I came to write this review as I'm leaving the US tomorrow and I feel a bit sad that I have to say goodbye to this coffee shop that has given me many wonderful mornings.

They love coffee here. They roast their own beans. Had an au lait with macadamia (they also have oat) - it was (is) delicious (still drinking it now and had such a nice experience I had to do a review asap). It’s a really gorgeous, cozy place!

Great shop with solid coffee and food. Cozy and full of character environs that get starched out with 'modern' third wave shops that are so common now.

Came here three days in a row on a recent trip to NY. The ginger bevvie is incredible, the Cortado was the perfect temp and flavor. Had a Daddy Latte (cereal milk, kind of like a Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor) and a drip coffee another day. Even the drip is fantastic! Savory spinach croissant was flaky and perfect. Staff was so so nice. Really friendly and patient no matter how busy they got. Dog friendly so lots of cuties to pet while you wait. Really fantastic specialty shop. If you have time to sit, the ceramic mugs and bamboo plates make the experience even more special. Thank you 😊

I definitely wanted to like this place more. The drinks were good but not great. Still a nice place to stop. Maybe they were having an off day. Main issue was the milk was too hot, i may have thrown them off by ordering a 12oz cappuccino... So if im in the area i would still give them another chance by ordering a traditional sized drink. The oat milk latte was above the national average but still not great.

No AC inside which in this weather I could not take for more than 5 minutes. Got an iced Americano which was definitely strong on the caffeine but lighter on the espresso flavor that I would have liked. Lovely chairs and plants on the inside, I would come back in nicer weather

I love Afficionado. The staff are so lovely and friendly. The coffee is delicious and strong. The ambience is gorgeous and luckily is yet to be filled with too many laptops. My favorite thing is to grab a delicious coffee and take a stroll with my Goldens over to the dog park. They have fun while I sip my yummy oat latte ❤️
