This's one of the most popular places to visit in NY. I love to come here in spring and autumn. People visiting here seem calm and gentle, so I also can be so relaxed.

Best view in all of Central Park. To see the humongous sky scrapers behind a forest and a beautiful lake is just magnificent. Such a nice escape from the loud traffic of New York City. Very kid friendly and pet friendly and a beautiful place to sit down and have lunch.

Very nice and quite place :) Place to run, play and spending time with a friend's. This is not that popular fragment of Central Park, so you can chill out peacefully. I recommend this place. And of course very nice view :)

i love this rock so much, it's peaceful to just sit here and talk, and then when you're done you can slide down the side or climb back up again. super fun place in the park

From here you have a beautiful view of various skyscrapers and the lively Central Park. When climbing, you should be careful not to twist your ankle.

It's a really great place to hang around in the Central Park. Enjoy the sun and appreciate some calm moments in the City that never sleeps. We spend some time there, watch the kids play on the playground next to it.

My son has played in parks all over the world and this is the most exciting!! This is the best park I’ve ever been to. I would recommend this park to anyone with children coming to NYC. It’s a little bit safety conscious, but my son played until he ran out of energy on the way home. Of course, adults can have fun too!!

When I first got to the rock I'll admit I was initially let down, I thought "There's no way I'll get a good view from that rock" it just looked to small. Walk up to the top, the view appears at the top and it's definitely worth it.

As a tourist I am amazed by how there is a rock outcrop this big in the midst of a gigantic city. You can climb around it and get a very nice view of central park and NYC. Be sure to have healthy knees, it's worth the climb.

Once you have to visit this place. Summer i think would like more nicer central park , but in winter is different as there is ice rink and gives more Christmas 🎄 feeling mood.

View was super cool and a nice way to spend a few hours off the hot concrete. Make sure to be careful, though; many of the rocks have water pools toward the top and slippery moss!

such a fun trip! Went on a picnic there with the wife and the in-laws, the wife visting was such a surprise she got some nice pictures of us, without us noticing! That’s me on the left with the cool bow tie, and her parents on the right! lovely spot for a picnic, 10/10 would go again! Totally worth the climb, amazing view, perfect for a mid-trip picnic! NYC is always beautiful in the spring, but it gets slightly chilly, so bring a coat!! Ahhhhh such a refreshing place to come to get away from the hustle and bustle of the New York way of living! Or even if you like the craziness at times but what to see some greenery instead of concrete everywhere, come here to fix that craving! This famous park covers a large area of Manhattan and is a must stop and see!! This is such a big tourist area and I totally understand why! There's so much to see and plenty of space to take a moment and enjoy New York with a nice picnic. If you want to go somewhere celebrities and movies have been filmed this is another place you need to stop. Just take a second of your tourist travels or if your a local stop by and take a breather! It's refreshing I promise!!

Adult playground, influencer selfie spot.. however you want to call it, it was worth the trip. Of course you don’t go to Central Park just to see the umpire rock, everything about the park, history and iconic filming spots made the visit amazing and unforgettable.
