My Fiancé is half Dominican and he swears by this place as the best Dominican food in New York. We go whenever we find ourselves in Washington Heights. Best to go with someone who knows their way around the menu and speaks Spanish. The staff is nice, but many are not proficient English speakers. Don’t expect traditional American style service as you’re in the heart of the City’s Dominican neighborhood. The food is hearty with rice, beans and plantains for sides. As typical with Dominican fare, the meats can be overcooked and dry, but also crispy, salty and satisfying.

Our server was super cool. We ordered Sangria and didn't like it too much and she up and returned the whole bottle free of charge. The food didn't last too long and it tasted awesome just have a look a some of my pictures...Negatives are the bathroom is too far. The hookah area is too small and the bar shuts the music completely after 4am. I would be nice to at least keep listening to the music instead of the people noise. Also a fight broke out and security didn't take people fighting out side immediately!!!

This place was so dope. My friends & I loved it when we visited this Summer. The service was quite good from the hostess to our lovely server but the Mofongo was the best part. I got the beef steak one & my mouth waters just remembering it. Unfortunately they didn't have the deserts we wanted but we were so full anyways. Can't wait to go back.

The music was waaaaaaayy too loud. Come on. It was insane. The food was ok nothing special. It was a little overpriced if you ask me especially for Dominican rice and beans . They had alot items missing from the menu, and when you asked why, the waiters just had a dumb look on their faces and no explanation. It's not difficult to answer a question about a menu item. Probably won't be coming back

If you're in the mood for something Caribbean, both in food and culture this is the place. A loud, but not too loud, exciting atmosphere smiling faces, and plenty of flavor in the air. The music isn't so loud that you have to shout over people but it is definitely apparent. The food is priced well, cooked with expertise. Reminds me of some of my grandmothers cooking, and takes that as a high compliment in full esteem. The drinks were also great, maybe too good. Bring your family, listen to the music, sip your drink, and eat. A good time.

Great music, vibe, and hookah. They vary in hookah flavors. The dinner was great and reasonable price to be NY. Would recommend for anyone to come. *Only downfall is they lack on appetizer options; not many options.*

Great Spanish bar and restaurant in NYC. Nice vibe, good relaxing music. The drinks are good, nice and cold beers. Haven't had any of the food cause I just ate but the smell of their food is good, I mean like WOW GOOD! Can't leave out the super sexy bartender, very polite, funny and helpful. I highly recommend this place to come have a drink and chill.

Food was decent. Nothing mind blowing. The service could have been a lot better….not that friendly. Overall, I don’t think I would return.

Looking for an amazing food place that will take your taste buds on a trip to the Dominican Republic? Look no further! This spot has everything you could ever want and more! From delicious crab mofongo that will make you weak in the knees to refreshing drinks that taste like they were made with fresh fruit - you won't be disappointed. The service could use a little work, but don't let that stop you from experiencing this incredible place!

I want to start off by saying one of the most flavorful foods I’ve eaten in a while. I came here a few times and the food hit every time. The staff were super welcoming and friendly. The prices are reasonable. Will definitely be added to my collection of favorite cuisines.

They didn't have what I really wanted to eat, which was mofongo de longanisa or de pernil they didn't have either, but my appetizer had longaniza pieces smdh, the server she was great. The food was not great. I ended up with a large piece of grilled chicken breast needed more flavor, aka seasoning, rice & and beans, the flavor of the rice and beans was meh.

Dominican restaurant in the middle of Washington Heights. My favorite dish is white rice, red beans and grilled chicken. Their churrasco it’s also really good. Depending on how busy the restaurant is, the service can be a bit slow. This is my go to restaurant when I’m in the heights.

Very bad service from the waitress, we were two person and besides they took very long with the drinks they just brought one drink when we ordered two drinks and asked if we ordered something else. The waitress need to smile more they are not very welcoming. Will not come back again!

This Restaurant is known for its signature Dominican dishes and vibe. I have eaten here in multiple occasions and I must point out these issues. The waiters encourage the sell and not a quality experience. This gave me the indication that the quality of the food is questionable right off the bat. The order was delayed in an effort to encourage us to drink or order fast appetizers. Pay attention to your order. I order a NY Strip Steak and got a folded TBone steak with fat on the side. I'm paying for a NY strip steak but am getting a cheaper cut instead. The salad was days old and the mash potatoes were dry and even had the powder from the packaging. They weren't real potatoes clearly. I'm no Gordon Ramsay but his show Kitchen Nightmares really put me on to what I should look out for. They have some qualities from their past but the I cannot shake the indication if being misled. I hate Liars, Cheating and Stealing.

Drinks were awesome. This was my 2nd time here, the first time the food was amazing. This time, I was disappointed at the quality and taste.

The service was a bit slow, but the mofongo (I had the octopus) was the best I've had across at least five different restaurants. I will probably visit again just for that.

Good place, they have a wide variety of Mofongos and the place is a good spot if you're into hookah. The drinks are delicious. The place is always busy but the waiting time is not longer than 10-15 minutes depending of your party. Expect a lot of Dominicans, singing bachata, dancing and laughing out loud, the vibe is great to unwind and have a good time with delicious food.
