👍👍 Great view from the beach. Very peaceful. You might get lucky and see ducks. Not many benches to sit down, but there is a big rock fence to sit on. People often mention beach, Queenstown,

If you come here in the summer, don't forget to bring a book, your swimsuit, and a towel t put on the ground. This is a definitely perfect spot for a chill afternoon, and the view is also perfect.

Grab some Fergburger and beers and sit and watch the sunset. The temperature can drop suddenly at night so bring some warm clothes. You can drink alcohol here from 8am to 8pm.

Quite a nice beach in Queenstown. It is located on the Botanical Garden side of the town. There is space to relax on the beach, swim or hire some water sports items. There is quite a bit of driftwood on the shore. It is quite a nice place to sit and just take in the beautiful surroundings as you look into Lake Wakatipu.

Nice place for relaxing. You can see lots of ducks in the bay along with the screaming from the jet.

Public beach with a playground, public toilets and close proximity to many restaurants and take aways. Conveniently located on the main promonade which links the waterfront, beach gardens and ice rink and Frankton cycling/walking track.

Good place to hang out and watch others on the beach. Good views of the lake and you can watch the tourist boats, hey boats and the like take off and return.

Avery easy and wonderful walk along the beach and so very close to the city's cafes and restaurants. Anyone visiting have a walk around this beach - couldn't recommend a swim as it was too cold for us in our May visit :)

Amazing views & great place to sit back and relax. Gets pretty busy during summer with swimmers but has a great lively atmosphere. One of the best places to catch the sunset in Queenstown.

A perfect spot very close to restaurants, bars and shopping yet enough space to relax and just enjoy joy the view. Easy to get to from many of the accommodations in Queenstown and there is parking on the off-streets if you are driving in from out of town. Heaps of facilities nearby including toilets, parks, Rose gardens, children's playground or just sit and soak up the evening atmosphere.

Spent each night I stayed in Queenstown watching the sunset here having a beer and enjoying the atmosphere. Can get very busy and a few people take the evening drinks a little too far. If you are brave enough it is worth going for a swim.

Sublime is the only way i can describe Queenstown Gardens, the lake front and the city center. Its even more amazing at night! Check out some of my pictures. Come down and just relax, play a bit of Frisbee golf, go for a walk through the gardens or walk half the lake front. Definitely stroll through here at night. There are so many activities here, some of which can only be found in Queenstown. This is definitely adventure captain of New Zealand! Once is never enough.

It was one of the best experiences in my lifetime. I suggest you to come here during winter because the double cone mountains are covered with snow. You can also see Kea around the mountain (the only parrot that lives around mountainous area). Queenstown is the last big city in the South Island, so you can expect to buy some groceries and consumables here before heading forward to south (possibly Milford Sound or Invercargill).

A beautiful lakeside beach with lovely views, although the water gets pretty chilly even on a nice day! You can hire a kayak, aqua bike or SUP from Paddle Queenstown, or feed the ducks ($2 donation for a bag of food).

This is a stunning place and quite possibly my favourite beach in New Zealand. It is nestled on Lake Wakatipu and it is just so peaceful, despite being located in a busy town. The views here are absolutely magnificent, as you get high mountains in the background with the Queenstown Gardens directly to your left. It would probably be a great place to take your Fergburger or other meal and eat it on the beach. I cannot really say much else except, I highly recommend anyone visit! It is that great.
