Nothing wrong with the people here, everyone was perfectly pleasant. However, I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you need to. It was handy for being close to the airport and other amenities but it wasn’t very comfortable staying here as a tourist amongst other peoples permanent caravan homes, felt quite uncomfortable. Was woken up in the night to yelling and banging a couple times. Not super athletically pleasing for a holiday but handy none the less. Would probably stay elsewhere next time.

North South in Christchurch have super friendly staff, are dog friendly all year round and have a heated outdoor pool. Everyone made us feel so welcome throughout our caravan stay. I'm a single Mum and respite foster carer and I really appreciated help from other long term Guests to set up and pack up. There's a fabulous lake and nature reserve right next door to the camping ground where dogs are allowed leashed at the far end aware from wildlife. Highly recommend their facilities for families or anyone for that matter!

Our visit was OK, but not great. By choice we would not stay there again because you don't service the unit, I had to ask for fresh towels each day, the flooring piles slope downwards on the kitchen and bathroom, the yard fencing is not complete for dog safety with two roads surrounding the 'cottage' even though you rent this unit out for dog owners, the unit smelt of animals, your charge of $10 a night per dog even though they where fully crated was exceptionally high, the hot water ran out when the gas bottle emptied mid shower and I had to phone your after hours cellphone number (eventfully retrived after listening to your message 3 times to get the number with no provided pen or paper to write it down in the 'cottage' at 7.30am whilst cold and dripping wet, then you harrassed us about our payment even though we had paid you in full on arrival..!

I stayed two nights with my tent on the campsite. The site for tents and campervans is next to a busy and noisy road, also in the night. You can hear the airplanes from the nearby airport as well. The facilities are old but everything works fine. I liked the rain shower and that they have two ovens in the kitchen, which is unusual for NZ. You have to bring your own cooking equipment though. There is one bus stop 20 minutes walking distance. Highway is right in front of the campground. The staff was really friendly and it is probably one of the most affordable campsites for tenting around Christchurch.

After dropping off our rental van and checking ourselves and 2 dogs onto our flight home to Hamilton we were notified that our flight was cancelled. What to do in the middle of a storm with no car, nowhere to sleep and two dogs in tow? Ring North South of course! Within 15 minutes Dan and his van were at the airport to take us back to the Holiday park to a small room that was available. Dan decided it would be no fun for 2 adults and 2 dogs in a small room, so upgraded us to a larger one. He's also taking us back to the airport in the morning.  The room is warm, dry and comfy. Our wet clothes are washed and dry and we're ready to try again tomorrow! Thanks North South!

Absolutely loved my stay at North and South. The owners are so nice and the 2 bedroom house we stayed in was so perfect for our family. Also loved having the dog with us and so much space for them to run around. Thanks so much! Great location and the size of the house we got was perfect

We spent one night here after arriving late at Christchurch. The facilities are very good. Big shower facilities with hot water, cooking area is spacious, indoor and outdoor dining area. Very easy to navigate to this campsite. Management are very responsive to our request on late arrival. They emailed me with very easy step to do, attached Campsite map locating where my parking lot will be. But we arrived early and met with friendly staff. Thumbs Up!

We stayed here for a week with our family and had a fantastic stay. Such a lovely large, clean space with lots of nature for us and the dogs to enjoy. Highly recommend!!

Good situation just off main highway but with good access to Christchurch city. Large camp with a lot of permanent clients which means a lot of pressure on facilities. If not fully self contained you need to be aware that this can cause problems with availability. However good place for a one or two day stopover. They have cabins and motels also.

We spent a night on a non-powered campsite as we need to catch our flight the next day. The amenities provided at the site were amazing, clean and comfortable. We had fun playing on the trampoline. The only drawback is that there is a time limit for a hot shower and the ground cover at the non-powered campsite was sandy and dusty. We had to dust our feet many times before entering our campervan. In all, it's a lovely and enjoyable place!

Really dark at night and hard to navigate. You get what you pay for I guess, we stayed in a powered site. Facilities aren't great. Shower turned off with no warning or signs to say it would. Couldn't even turn it back on, and was freezing outside. But booking process is easy.

Couldn't have asked for better. Nice & friendly FOH staff and have finally found a place where I could get a good night's which you don't usually get at overpriced motels. Loved the pulsating shower head in the cottage. Car was left in their storage area when I flew north and I was picked up when I flew back a week later. Would highly recommend and will be a repeat customer.

Got a powered site there, good location near to the airport, got there late but still easy to check in, good facilities in terms of maintenance and variety. Must be a very thoughtful owner, thumbs up!

Budget and family-friendly accommodation very close to Christchurch International Airport (around 3km). We stayed in the family unit, which shows wear and tear but that's to be expected for a busy holiday park with a really good price point (I paid $150 total for 2 adults plus one child). There's a full kitchen, comfortable beds, and the park is close to takeaway restaurants, petrol station, cafes, supermarket etc. It's also pet friendly and dogs are allowed in the unit (but not on the furniture). Recommended for families on a budget, and people travelling with pets.

Great location, easy access to shops and eateries. Pool heated if you want a dip and playground for kids. Pet friendly which was great for us. We stayed in a cabin for three nights then picked up a new caravan and returned for one more night. Facilities great and very clean ! Good showers and good laundry facilities as well. All topped off with great friendly staff .

Convenient location for airport and if you are renting an RV this is the best place to stay the night before you have to return it. Playground is decent. Sadly have to knock a star off because the wifi was so slow and unstable it wasn't usable. We had to use our phone data, which is quite expensive in NZ.

Apart from a faulty smoke alarm it was a perfect nights stay. Was warmer and more comfortable than the 4 star hotel in Auvkland the I had spent the previous two nights.

Absolutely loved staying here with 13 yo, 5 yo and 15 month old. Cabin was beautifully cosy, clean and tidy everything we needed. Communal kitchen was fantastic with really good highchairs (bonus). Kids loved the playground, pool, on sites activities and just cruising around the park. Fully recommended and we for sure be back...hopefully Christmas holidays 😊

This park is in a good location for dropping campervans off close to the airport early in the morning. But it is not a holiday park, it is a work park. There are many people who seem to live here long term. The camp ground is tired and run down! Doesn't feel clean and appears to not have had any maintenance done in recent times. It is busy and noisy. It is also expensive relative to other far better camp grounds around the South Island. So if you're at the end of your holiday this camp ground may be a disappointment. Next time I'd try to find another place to stay even of it's less convenient.

Fantastic stay with North South Holiday Park Christchurch. Room was perfect size for two people, clean and warm. Amenities were close with the best showers ever. All these areas were extremely clean at all varies times of the day. Recommended AAA+

Fantastic campground. Our room, which had everything we needed, was clean and tidy and close to the communal kitchen and bathroom facility. The staff were helpful and friendly. Close to the airport which gave us good access to the city.

Great place to stay close enough to airport. 24hr service station right next door and burger king. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Cabins were warm and cozy. Highly recommend staying here.

Take your money elsewhere. At check out, the manager refused to refund my $20 bond because of pet hair in the bed. No damage to the room, just hair. I rented a deluxe cabin which came with a queen bed, dishes, a fridge, towels, and a heater. I paid $98, including a $20 potentially refundable pet bond. No sink or cooking apparatus. I used the shared kitchen and bathroom. Upon checking in the room, I regretted not paying extra for a hotel/motel/Airbnb. The heater in the room was an electric, stand-alone space heater. You can’t leave the heater on all night for risk of fire, so the room was uncomfortable as the temperature dropped last night. The manager told me pets weren’t allowed in the bed, and I should have read the terms and conditions. If I had known, I would’ve taken an extra minute to shake the hair off the sheets before leaving. Disappointing as the grounds were in good condition. There’s a playground, pool, clean bathrooms, and showers, and the kitchen was tidy. Not returning a $20 pet bond due to pet hair seems a suspicious excuse not to wash sheets between guests. There are plenty of other more reasonable pet-friendly campgrounds and motels. I will take my business elsewhere, and I encourage others to do the same.

A perfect spot, close to town, great facilities which are very clean and presented well and a lovely pool.and playground for the children and grandies. The staff are very pleasant and friendly about the camp and on for a chat with the guests. Animal friendly camp also which is a bonus for pet lovers.

A family of 5, we stayed in a tourist cabin. Excellent value for money. Good proactive communication from the team re arriving after hours. Awesome beds and linen. Bathrooms are campground style but very clean. Road and airport noise not bad at all. Pool was simple but warm enough for the kids to use in the rain. Fancier motel style units looked nice (own little house with own bbq).

We turned up at 1am and were able to pay for an unpowered spot the next morning, lady at reception was lovely. Good location for the airport and the city. Showers were clean. Seems to be a lot of long term residents on the site but this wasn’t a problem.

Friendly, helpful staff, some utensils in kitchen would be good. Gravel is very noisy especially at night. Great location. Free dvds. Food to use when you arrive and leave when you go is great.

This was a convenient stop while picking up a new caravan and it is obviously very close to the airport! Lots of things for the very young to do here, including a bouncy rubber pillow! Neighor struck up a bike at 10.pm and left it idling for 20 minutes . At 3.44am cars were using the road to burn "donuts" alongside site. The showers/toilets were clean and adequate

We stay here every year with our Taekwondo Club, and every year they are exceptional. Such a breeze to deal with, facilities are wonderful for the kids. Prices are absolutely affordable - great value for what you pay. We don't even bother looking elsewhere now. It's North South, or nothing at all

Cleanliness was a little lacking, needs more attention, and price was up there for such a basic room, only upside was that they let you have your Dog stay too, this was the only reason we choose them

Awesome place. Will be staying here again that’s for sure. It’s very clean and tidy and big ups for being pet friendly. Central and easy to find. The office staff are really nice even if after hours. Very kid friendly lots of things for them on offer. The toilets and shower are clean and had heating. Very awesome

I stayed in an ensuite cabin the first night while my caravan was being repaired at a nearby shop. It was very clean and had everything I needed for a one night stay. The remaining 6 nights I stayed in my recently repaired caravan on a powered site. Bathrooms seemed to stay clean, neighbors were quiet, and the customer service was top notch! The only thing to be aware of is the airport is very nearby, so there will be noise from planes taking off and arriving (didn't bother me much), but it's a give and take for the location. Some may find it very convenient being so close to the airport.
