What an excellent experience for my partner and I! I'd never done White Water Rafting prior to our adventure with TRR and needless to say I'm ready to do more! You're on the boat with professionals who make sure you know how to handle the raft and navigate the waters. Amazing experience and they take brilliant photos so you can take the memories home with you. Even better is the fact the photos are part of the package!

A long ~2.5 hours, enjoyable raft session past wildlife and spectacular native Bush. Great to swim in the water (very cold) but actually amazing as you are snug in a quality wetsuit. Grade 3 but not overly exciting rapids (pic is of the biggest rapid)

Great family day, we took our three daughters age 11 8 and three. The youngest really enjoyed her ride on the bike seat and we very much had lots of fun on the E bikes. Staff are very helpful and went above and beyond to provide safe and fun environment for everyone. We will certainly be back soon. Thank you

Great experience, i was initially scared to do it, but now I want to do it again! All the guides were super friendly and nice and felt safe during the whole journey! And an extra, free pictures and 3d video of our trip were sent almost immediately to our email

10/10 must do!!!! Had Sam and Jade as our rafting guides and they were both incredible. So knowledgeable and fun! A fun way to have a one of a kind view of New Zealand. Nicolle was our driver and photographer and was so kind and caring!!! Such an amazing team. You won't regret it!

Absolutely phenomenal. We had a great guide and just a bunch of passionate people all around. There are loads of rapids and you spend quite some time on the river (around 2 hours). You’ll also see some gorgeous spots that you otherwise wouldn’t see. Definitely worth the money!

My wife and I had so much fun and this was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Definitely recommend everyone to give a go when you’re visiting the north island. A shout out to our guide, Live - who took extremely good care of us. And thank you for all the fun and laughter!

For a first time go at rapid rafting I couldn’t have asked for a better crew Jade, Sam and Nicole were great! Jade and Sam both came with us on the raft and had such a great time with us. Was such a great afternoon the fellas knew what they were doing and read the river so well. It was non stop laughter and great times the whole experience. Nicole was an absolute legend getting us organised and to the river being our personal photographer and having the soup ready to warm us up when we got back. The whole team were awesome with giving us other recommendations for the rest of our trip as well!

Fantastic experience rafting down the Tongariro River. Probably the best organised tourist experience we've ever done. Hensly was our guide & he treated us to some gags & got us down through the rapids with no fuss. Never got to to see the Nun on our return so everyone must have done the right thing :). Loved the stop to jump into the river & have a swim as well - not too cold with the 5mm wetsuits. Best day in NZ by far!

Had an awesome time rafting this morning with Tongariro River Rafting. The guides were great, made us feel safe and had us laughing throughout. We had such a lovely long trip down the river and enjoyed some exhilarating rapids and also learnt lots about the river and wildlife on the way down. And to top it all off we got an awesome 360 degree video and photos to keep as memories! Can’t recommend this company enough!

This trip was INCREDIBLE!! Our guide was super skilled and knowledgeable and the river is seriously stunning. Everything was explained in detail, we were cosy in the super warm wetsuits and gear they provide and oh yeah, the rapids were EXTREMELY fun. We also saw lots of Whio (blue ducks) which was an unexpected bonus. Highly highly recommend this rafting experience, thanks heaps to TRR for an awesome trip

Took our 2 boys (10 and 12 years old) for their first rafting experience. The whole family had such an awesome time! I highly recommend this for a great family bonding activity. Our guide, Henley, was very warm, friendly and helpful. He was knowledgeable and gave informative narration of the river and the wildlife along the way. We felt very safe in the good hands of an experienced guide. We got to experience both the tranquil beauty of the river, as well as the exhilaration of the riding the rapids. Our family is eagerly looking forward to our next rafting experience after this great introduction to white water rafting.

I'm Hugh, an Australian travelling in New Zealand with family, we have staying in Tongariro for about a week and did white water rafting with Tongariro River Rafting on the 16/12/2022 (starting at 9am). My family and I couldn't of had a better experience, our skipper Sam was exemplary, a fun loving Kiwi who loved his job and wanted to give everyone the best time. The day was raining for the most part, but this created a picturesque mist and calmness and despite the weather forecast not looking great on paper, it was amazing and didn't impact our experience at all. All the gear was fantastic, all you needed to do was book and turn up. The three skippers were very skilled and great fun. I couldn't recommend this activity more based three main factors: 1. It is amazing to see New Zealand flora and fauna whilst rafting, a beautiful and immersive experience. 2. The company is clearly very well organised with fantastic gear, as well as experienced and fun staff. 3. It is so much fun and good exercise!! You are also provided with photos and videos of our experience which has been great fun to review as memories (these are included with no extra fees). We hope to be back and see Sam and the gang at Tongariro for some more rafting!! A must do for people passing through Tongariro. A fabulous family day rafting. A great way to spend a rainy day in the Taupo region. A fun and entertaining experience for the whole family. Our raft guide Sophie was a friendly and confident guide. An adrenaline pumping 2.5hrs on the Tongariro river with TRR. River rapids are a mix of grades 2/3, balanced excitement and rest periods!! Equipment provided is clean and well maintained. Special mention to our hardworking and fun loving guide -Elise !!

Had a great experience white water rafting today. The river is beautiful, the rapids are serious and the guides were great. Brought us downriver in style, safety and good humour. Would highly recommend.

Full of fun even in winter time! Gears are all provided to keep us warm and safe. Guide (Evan) is super professional and experienced, and super cool as well:) Highly recommend this activity to any one, no matter for summer or winter. Next time, we will try the white water rafting (grade 3) for more fun!

Hands down the funnest adventure we’ve had on our NZ trip. A must do. The guides were professional and made us feel safe. Spent around 2 hours on the water and well worth the money. Highly recommend even if you’ve never done it before like us.

Great River guides! Evan was very knowledgeable about the local area and highly entertaining too. Most importantly, he gave great instructions and we had a great, safe and thoroughly enjoyable ride down the river. Despite being a chilly winters day, the equipment provided was great as it kept us warm and toasty. So warm that some of us jumped into the river for a little swim and cool down!
