Double recommended! I had 3 different dishes, and they were all good. Traditional Japanese cuisine. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The staffs were friendly. I definitely would love to come back for their foods!

our 2nd time and we absolutely loved it. it is what you’d expect with authenticity towards how a bowl of japanese udon would be. handmade udon instead of store bought ones. the staffs were forever polite with their service in this quaint space and it felt homely. toriten udon & the stamina.

Great taste. Clean restaurant with lovely decoration. Love their utensils, arty pottery. Great presentation of food. It’s a pleasure to watch them work seamlessly and gracefully in the open kitchen in busy hours. Lovely owners!

Had a satisfying visit to Waikato Udon in Hamilton. The udon noodles were delicious, and the variety of broths and toppings offered made for a customizable and enjoyable meal. The friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. Definitely a good spot for udon lovers in Hamilton!

Tasty fresh handmade udon. Ordered beef udon and perfect taste. Really thankful for such beautiful meal since finding real authentic Asian food in NZ is so hard. Most restaurants just cooked very randomly because they think foreigners don't know the real taste.( Though I'm from Asia I know) Thank you for your food and it made my day! Lovely small shop but with good food and service.

Highly recommend this cozy, little eatery. I've never been to Japan but when I visit here I feel like I'm briefly transported to Japan. I always order Kakiage Udon with a poached egg. Good value for money, friendly service. Everything is made fresh so expect a little wait during busy times - completely worth it.

These are delicious but i think you should separate the fried food with the noodle. As when you dip the fried food into the broth, it made the broth super oily. Its still good tho.

Highly recommended. A nice little traditional Japanese restaurant. Environment is very clean and tidy. The food was delicious. You can tell they cook it from the heart. Handmade udon, tartar source, the soup. The taste and plating. The rice balls are yum as well. Thanks for providing us the good lunch experience. Will come back next time 😁😁😁

Highly recommend kitusna udon and karage chicken. The chicken is big, crispy and juicy. Good combine with the vegetarian soup udon.

OMG IT IS SO YUMMY! They make handmade noodles, and the taste was like what I’ve eaten in Japan. Now I can belive why all the reviewers gave 5 stars.

The best udon you can find in NZ. Must-go whenever we come to Hamilton.
