Kaiaua is a no thrills beach but that's what's so good about it, it's basic. You go there, take it easy. It's relaxing has food options, fishing, places to stay but in the end there's no fancy pants five star this and that. It's relaxing because it simple. Plus you get all the bird wildlife at no cost!

Parked up beside beach, tide in and water about 25 meters away. Sun is shining its a glorious day. You can freedom camp here, rubbish bins and Portaloo's provided by council. Bit of road noise as park up area is directly adjacent road.

Bird watchers paradise. In the migrating season there are many motorhomers and v Other vehicles here to watch the different and abundant birds present. So happy to see so many people loving nature.

Just went to Kaiaua for fish and chips lunch. Can recommend, really good eating, lots of choices and reasonably priced.
