I was incredibly impressed with such a smooth operation. Purchasing a ticket, lining up, taking the train, and enjoying the ride itself was a pleasure, not only for me but also for my daughter. I initially thought it would be a one-off experience, but collectively, we've decided to come back here again and have a picnic at some point during the summer. The drivers have so much enthusiasm towards their Sunday hobby, and it's infectious.

Miniature train rides donโ€™t get any better than this! Watch videos with volume up to enjoy the sounds of a real steam locos in full steam, as well as authentic track sounds. Thanks to Halswell Miniature Trains (C.S.M.E.E.) for a wonderful event. Always an enjoyable day out there. Today was another reminder why this is our favourite attraction at Christchurch and why we take all our visitor friends and family here.

This an awesome and really fun place to be. so many trains to Look at and ride on everything from miniature diesel-electric to miniature steam trains with genuine coal powered engines. The trains are so much fun, there's tonnes of track...and even both a tunnel and an overbridge. There's also a level crossing with flashing lights for pedestrians. What's also fun is a lake for radio controlled yachts. picnic tables abound as do grassy areas for your mat. a really groovy place to come...highly recommended.

Great activity for the family. Plenty of parking. Women selling tickets could be nicer and more helpful. Park and toilets close by. A few picnic benches, more would be great.

A great outing for families young and old. You can ride the trains and enjoy the scenery for a very small fee. The amount of effort invested by the volunteers and enthusiasts is incredible. It really adds character to the local area and community.
