We enjoyed our stay, comfortable beds and nice and quiet but close enough to lots of activities. Recommend the restaurant. The heated pool and spa is great too.

We really enjoyed staying there. We have our own spa bath. Our unit just next to the swimming pool. We got to feed the trout. The service, both the hotel and the restaurant was fantastic. Parking was good. We are happy with the location as well. It was close to skyline, close to the farm, close to the shops. Our room was big, although I wish the WiFi could've been a bit better. Couldn't connect the downstairs TV to the internet (no problem with the TV upstairs) Also the carpet needs replacement I think. Or maybe steamed vacuum? I'd definitely come back and stay there again as like I said it's close to skyline and shops plus the area was quite, not "smelly".

Spent two enjoyable nights here. It's less of a hotel and more of like duplex cabins. We stayed in a room with a spa outside and it was just lovely and so relaxing having the trout stream next to us. The beds are fine and the rooms are fine. It's not too far from Hobbiton, or the various thermal areas. The dog at reception is worth a visit alone as it is incredibly sweet and cute.

All the facilities you need when travelling, including a kitchenette and laundry room. Comfortable bed and small bathroom but functional. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly on check in

Don’t get me wrong, this hotel is great! The hotel staff was nice and really friendly. The beds were comfortable and helped me get a great night sleep. On the contrary, the bathrooms are a little small. I would recommend staying if you are looking to find a place to stay to tour Rotorua!

Location provides easy access to all the attractions in Rotorua and the surrounding area. Rooms are functional, but the bathroom of the unit we stayed in had one of the smallest wash basins ever. Still did the job though. Far enough away from the bad egg smell so this will not be a problem.

The ratings given for this motel are grossly inaccurate. It’s very basic and straight out of the 1980’s. This wouldn’t be so bad if they weren’t charging the same as 5 star hotels in Auckland and Wellington, we know because we paid the same $275 per night at Braeside as we paid at 5 star hotels in Auckland and Wellington. There are far better places to stay in Rotorua.

Located at the end of the main road so you're away from the hustle. Service was awesome, the receptionist was so welcoming and helpful. I do like that they drain the private hot tubs after each guest. The trout stream is so peaceful and a nice touch

We appreciated the very friendly and helpful staff, the quiet peaceful location, and also that the units were spotlessly clean and had plenty of electrical outlets! We will definitely be coming back to stay again.

Its out of town near cable cars. I dont have kids but there are families here enjoying golf and pool and swings etc. There is a restaurant on site and laundry facilities. Across road from the cable cars and Maori village (which picks up from here). 2 steps up to my unit and had toilet and shower grab bars for those that struggle. But there are units with no steps. unit 20 overlooked the clearest little stream you will probably ever see. And they do breakfast to your room. I was very comfortable and would recommend this pretty location to my friends and family.

We stayed at Braeside for 2 nights, in an executive suite with spa. This was an accessible room with a kingsize and a single bed. The beds are comfortable and the room spacious, The place is very clean and the service is excellent and friendly. We couldn’t sleep because of snoring, so we asked for a space with separate bedrooms for the next night, The kind manager gave us a discount on the upgrade and was happy for us to move immediately. We had an excellent sleep on night 2. Again, here too, the beds were excellent and the place was very clean, there was plenty of space for the three of us. The motel is across the road from The gondola, in a quiet side street, you could easily walk to the gondola from there. there is also a lovely swimming pool on site at 33°C, I had a great and comfortable swim in the morning, in the middle of winter. It’s a lovely quiet setting with a picturesque stream on the boundary of the property. Highly recommended, and the price was very reasonable.

Beautiful hotel. It has everything needed. We stayed in a studio. It had all the basic cooking amenities with a kettle, fridge, spoons and drinking water. Plus a call out to Chloe. She was super helpful and helped us with a smile 😄

Location is excellent and its right opposite the Skyline. Staff are friendly. Unfortunately, the shower was not clean and full of hair from previous residents. The cooking pan was burned, black and couldn't use it. Price is very high for a 3 stars motel.

The staff were friendly, and the place was spacious. Our rooms were dated and could definitely use a refresh, but they served our purposes. The room service breakfast was convenient and tasty. I'm not sure I would stay here again, as it was a bit pricey and needs a remodel. However, it is well-situated for sightseeing in the Rotorua area.

I had high expectations for this motel, based on the reviews and photos. I was highly let down, the motel was absolutely filthy!!!! Dust everywhere, cups and cutlery weren’t washed properly. We booked for 4 nights, and had to ask for our room to be serviced cause we came back to the motel and all the dishes were still on the bench, nothing had been done our complimentary coffee wasn’t even replaced only thing they had done was give us fresh clean towels… not even the beds were made. It’s run down, the play room has a pool table, in a tiny little run down shed, we couldn’t even swim cause no one informed us there would be builders there the whole time. Highly disappointed, trust me do not book based on these reviews.

I took my 7yr old daughter to Rotorua for the first time. I did leave booking accommodation during school holidays a tad late, but fortunately Karen had 1 room left. We stayed for 4 nights and loved it here - so much for the kids to do after a day out. The staff are fantastic! We felt welcome from the moment we checked in to the moment we left. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy so we slept like babies. We ate at the Brook restaurant on our last night and the food was superb - Keith is such a sweetheart and really goes out of his way to make sure you have a great night (he's also great with the kids!). Location was ideal being close to everything we wanted to do and Karen was extremely helpful in recommending where to go for the cultural experiences I wanted to share with my daughter. Definitely recommend for families! There were things we were unable to do as they were booked out, so when we return to Rotorua, we will absolutely stay here again. Thanks for making our holiday special.

Absolutely loved staying at this place, we loved the private spa with a enclosed space. That staff are lovely people and so kind and happy to fullfil any needs we had. The room was spacious and we had a fully stocked kitchenette including full cooking facilities and tea and coffee needs, they also gave us milk on arrival. Skyline is just across the road and so is Rotorua monigolf. Eat St is a 5 minute drive and so is the shopping mall.

Really good motel, large comfortable rooms with a really nice hot private spa. Close to the major tourist attractions but far enough from the main road as well. Really good value for money.

Popped in tonight for dinner with the family, based in previous reviews on Google. Finding a spot for dinner on a Monday night was a bit tricky so this sounded great. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was great, lovely fresh ingredients and everything was homemade. Kids ate well and there was a nice variety of food on the menu. Would absolutely recommend for families or groups looking for a friendly atmosphere in Rotorua.

Warm, comfortable rooms during the winter. Private spa pool was devine!! Food is ok. I have stayed here twice and ants were crawling on my table at both occasions. Also, recommend that the old male caucasian waitress not butt in with his opinions on dinners conversations-rude & annoying. Location is perfect if you want to be slightly out of CBD. Overall, good motel.

Lots of space in our room catering for 4 adults. Location of electrical sockets was a good brain teaser!! Restaurant on site, pool and golf. Family oriented motel!!

Excellent facilities and so close to tourist attractions. Enjoyed private spa baths every night, sky sports to watch the All Blacks game, heat pump, and a TV in the bedroom too for Netflix. Shower pressure a bit low but didn't bother me.

Location lovely, and handy to both adventure and the city, staff very friendly, accommodation comfortable and warm. The cleaners are just missing the basics, webs, dusting, and the pans need an update, as well as some of the utensils. Would still be happy to stay there for a third time next year.

Great stay! Spacious rooms and the private spa was a treat! Only thing I would change is being provided fresh milk rather than a sachet of powder. Very comfortable and accommodating. Would recommend. Great location for families.
