A young blonde haired man was very rude and arrogant, we asked for more drinks and he very rudely answered us. Our children went to look at the dessert menu, but as of covid he sent them back, in a rude manner. Blue haired lady/man/they/them/queen was great. We then asked for dessert menus, but no one had notifed us the kitchen was closed, which was slightly annoying. As well as that, my daughter ordered the chicken burger, no spice or blue cheese. The burger was swapped out twice, and even on the third burger, it was still incorrect. Quirky cafe with average-good food and unhelpful staff, but curly fries were exceptional. 😂

Awesome night! The amount of games was overwhelming in an excited way! Good pizza, curly and strait chips! Yum coconut milk hot choclates too 😁 Loved the rolled up nana blankets & hot water bottles! Loved the atmosphere! Can hear others laughter etc from their games! Was awesome highly highly recommend! A highlight was seeing a father and son (7-10yrs) playing next to us!

Been to this board game cafe yesterday and have two things to say. Firstly it’s a nice place to play a lot of different games with a good selection of food and drinks. Just note that it can get noisy if it’s booked out. Second thing is about the staff. Maybe it just wasn’t his best day, but we were treated kind of rude. Instead of being happy, that people feeling reminded of being like child - sunk in a game not remembering time and space - he sort of roughly told us that time is over and we have one minute to get out. Felt like been kicked out. I understand that there are people waiting to get the table but politeness should be a matter of course.

Went here 3 times this month and were such a blast! Huge range of board games available from quick fun cards to 1 1/2 hours long game. $10 each person if you choose to only play board games or $5 each person if you get the food.

Best board game cafe I’ve ever been to! Great game selection, with good organization and suggestions on the wall. Local craft beer on tap, snacks available. I’d come here all the time if I lived in Wellington. Highly recommended!!

We had a great time here! Would've spent the whole day if we could. So many games to choose from, and delicious food. Glad that it rained on our holiday to Welly or we'd have never discovered it!

Great food, staff and selection of games. We were able to try three different games in our 3 hour window and had dinner as well.

Worst burger that I've ever had. But everything else was 10/10. Great atmosphere, people, snacks and drinks. Really enjoy coming here. But the venison burger had dry meat, dry bread, and was stuffed with tinned beetroot. Definitely going again (soon), but avoid the burgers

Amazing place to take a group of friends (or even just one other person) for a great night of boardgames. The choice here is incredible, and I've always felt the atmosphere to be super welcoming, with a nice mix of all ages and backgrounds. Highly recommended!

Great cafe. We came here for dinner and stayed for the games. The staff were super helpful in picking games that would suit us. The food tasted good and the atmosphere was the right level of relaxed. Great date night for any board game lovers.

I love board games cafes, and this one was great as usual! Massive selection of games to choose from, and the first one we picked was suitable for 2 players (and even 1 player) which was great! It was pretty big, and only just fitted on the table, meaning we couldn't eat at the same time, but we realised later that we had picked a game from their "big games" shelves, and the staff were knowledgeable and let tables know when they chose a game that wouldn't fit on their table! There was a good selection of food, although we didn't get to try any as we couldn't fit it on the table. Good coffee though. You book a 3-hour slot, but we didn't manage to learn our game and finish playing it within that time. They didn't come and ask us to leave, although we did hear them letting another table know they only had 15mins left, but we had to leave anyway as we had other plans.

I’d never heard of this place and went to supervise a visit between a parent/child. The venue was perfect. Not loud, good variety of food/drink and plenty of board games. The atmosphere was really nice and the staff were incredibly friendly and genuine. I’ve since gone on to recommend the place to others

Cool game café with a ton of board games. Nice coffee and drinks; the food was also nice. Best place to go on a rainy day to spend time with friends and catch up over a coffee or drink and some fun games. Absolutely recommended (if you're into board games 😉).

An amazing boardgame cafe/restaurant. Been there a couple of times (once on a double date and the second time with my boardgame savvy 4 yo). A lot of boardgames, nice selection. We enjoyed the chicken burger but the venison burger was quite dry. I can see us returning many times in the future.

A unique dinning experience that combines an insanely large catalogue of board games with some mean food, snacks, and drinks making for a great time for everyone from the "I've only ever played Monopoly" to the "the sheep must flow" player. I've been countless times as it's a unique place to take friends and family and I've only ever had a great time there thanks to the friendly and helpful staff that also can give excellent game recommendations! Even though I can highly recommend their burgers let's be real, I don't go here with food as the main priority it's just such a great place to get a beer, some fries and play a few games with friends and family!

Great coffee , snacks and 100's of board games to choose from. Put down your phones and try this fantastic combination. First time for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

We visited this wonderful board game cafe to celebrate a birthday party with 10 twelve year old girls. The food was delicious and always served hot out of the kitchen. The board game selection is good too. They have games that are suitable for kids ages five and over. They have so many games that our children played over seven different games In just two hours. They also have holiday programmes so if your pre-teen or teenager is looking to break up the boredom I think they might like this place.

Great little place to hang with friends. Good food and great cocktails/drinks. Staff were great and very informative; they let us finish our game even though they had closed.

Spent most of time working out the rules of a game we had never played before, but lots of fun. Food good and nice tap beers. Prices ok

Best place in Wellington (if you like board games.) Friendly and knowledgeable staff who give great suggestions and tips for playing. Great way to try a game before you buy, or spend a wet afternoon playing the classics. Huge range of games. Food and drinks are icing on the cake!
