This was an excellent small group tour! MoaTrek makes everything very easy. We spent a week on the North Island and 2 weeks on the South Island with a great Kiwi guide. The tour included a lot of activities and you have the option to add lots of other things as well, which MoaTrek will book for you. The accommodations were really nice. This is a great way to see all the must see sites of New Zealand!

Absolutely amazing Tour company. Very well organised. Although limited to eighteen people per tour, it made for easy getting to know everyone. Staff who guided the tour were fantastic. Full of knowledge of the areas you visited and a great sense of humour. Definitely booking another tour with MoaTrek NZ.

If you have never been to New Zealand, this trip is a great intro. Absolutely had a blast, having someone else do the driving is great, that way you get to see everything. Tim was brilliant in his organizing skills to try to keep everyone happy, but the weather played a bit part in some of the activities. Love you guys Heaps and miss everyone on tour.

The 9 day tour was perfect for our needs. Lots of fantastic places scenery and activities. If you’re lucky enough to get Sarah Inglewood as your tour guide you’re in for a great experience!

This was a fantastic trip and we saw all the best sights of both islands. Our Driver/ Guide Paul was very knowledgeable and made the trip more interesting and enjoyable.

A fabulous tour, that was exceptionally well thought-out and moved at just the right pace to cover all the highlights. I highly recommend this tour and would do it again! Everyone was extremely warm and friendly - we felt right at home.

I have just had the most wonderful 5-day tour on Great Barrier Island. From our half-hour flight over with BarrierAir to our return 5 days later, the whole experience was absolutely fabulous. Our Tour Guide was Andre - he could not have been more caring, knowledgeable and fun!! The GB residents were totally welcoming, ready to share their lives with us! Special mention to Val and Francis at Shoal Bay Estate for their hospitality and delicious meals - unsurpassable!! Also GB identity, Russell Scott regaled us with his vast knowledge of the island - history, people and snippets of personal life. This is definitely a must-see place and a MoaTrek is THE way to go there!😊

We're not instinctively tour travelers but have found tours to be the most efficient way of seeing a place you're likely to get to only once. After spending a lot of time trying to plan our own itinerary for New Zealand, we came across MoaTrek and found their 23-day Kakapo tour covered almost everything we thought we wanted to see. The tour was exceptional in every way. The itinerary, the guide, the small group size, the accommodations and the transport combined to provide a wonderful experience with beautiful memories.

I was not sure how a guided tour would pan out. I had never been to NZ before. So I thought it best to try it out. The small group sized tour was perfect. I really do not know how the anyone likes the those giant bus tours. Also Moa Trek staff were great. Our tour guide was superb. She not only knew the history of the land but knew the botany as well. I can not say enough great things. I highly recommend Moa Trek if you have never been to NZ and have about 3 weeks. You must do both islands!

We took the Kiwi 14 day tour and we loved it. Everything went well. Our driver/guide Paul was very friendly, courteous and helpful. The tour locations were well-chosen and the timings were good. Our pre-tour experience with the booking process also was good. The information we were provided was very accurate. We highly recommend this tour.

This is the ideal tour company, regardless of the length, to experience New Zealand. MoaTrek provides the excellent alternative to the many larger tours. In all respects the tour provides access to the beauty of New Zealand in a casual and informative manner. We recently concluded the 17 day Kakariki North and South Island tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. We especially enjoyed the small group atmosphere and unique sights and adventures that filled our calendar each day. The highlight is the intimate lunches sprinkled throughout the tour of the islands. All accommodations were first class with unbelievable views. We can not say enough about our tour guide who made us feel at home right from the start of the tour and cared about providing the best experiences of New Zealand.

My wife and I recently made an 18 day tour of New Zealand with MoaTrek that included both the North and the South islands. The tour was well organized and efficiently run. The bus was quite comfortable and the hotel accommodations of a uniformly high quality and consistent with MoaTrek's stated objective of providing the best that New Zealand has to offer. New Zealand is of course a beautiful country with warm and friendly people and in that regard we were not the least disappointed. We were however, quite pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food which was much higher than we had expected. We didn't have a bad meal even if it was only a bakery sandwich. We especially enjoyed the two visits to rather remarkable New Zealand families that MoaTrek included in the tour.

Special thanks to Christine Goodger at Moatrek for her help in rearranging several tours and hotel due to a flight delay. Very professional and responsive. Can't wait for the tour.

😠 Really disappointing. Very hard to deal with, they booked our accommodation and cancelled last minute at 2pm on their checkin date, then tell me that they believe someone else will book again. On their website it says free cancellation needs 60 days before any tour starts, so they do understand it’s...
