Love this place! Such an awesome addition to Christchurch with lots of different food options to choose from, representing so many different cultures in a relaxes, casual environment. 🙂This market is a must visit in Christchurch. It was well decorated, clean and had many types of cuisines. It could be a bit crowded during lunch 🥗 times . Highly recommended✅

Flash Browns at Riverside Market are worth a visit for sure.Homemade hashbrowns, avocado, beetroot hummus and a delicious salsa, all that for $12....very impressed 👍...we will be back soon to try out the Mac and cheese hashbrowns.

Went for a fun late late lunch with children and adults, we wandered around to look at the different kiosks. We started with Bubble Tea, then hot chips, sushi, Japanese dumplings, and sushi from the sushi train. We finished with liquorice from the lolly stall. So much fun 🙂

Good place to meet up with friends to have a chat or grab a cup of coffee. Love the general aesthetic vibes. Good food selections, the top floor is my favourite spot to enjoy a meal.

Nice place to have a stroll with friends or just to hangout. Cute little market with the river flowing on the side. Many places and options inside to choose from, to eat and drink. Large variety of different cuisines. Really cool.

I think the river side market is another example of Christchurch city council getting it right once again , the set up is great with different levels to eat and drink on every level , so go and enjoy the wonderful and exciting riverside market 😀

Charming little indoor market with a decent variety of food and snack stalls within, though for some reason I expected it to be much bigger with way more choices. That said, you’re still likely to be able to find something to buy here, whether it’s coffee, artisanal pastries, hot food or gourmet snacks. I enjoyed some Indian food and Nepalese dumplings here. The Japanese sushi place also served up a mean salmon roll! Overall a must visit when passing through Christchurch and I would love to return one day!

Contemporary and artsy food court style indoor market with food vendors, eating areas and toilet facilities. Was very busy with the corporate lunch crowds and the cruise ship tourists so didn't eat here but it was cool to have a walk around and see what was on offer.

A lovely market, with plenty of stalls.. a variety of stalls. They have food from all across the world. The prices were decent for a central location.. it was not overpriced. We bought waffle for around $14.

Absolutely loved this market. We spent so much time here during our visit and didn’t feel like we needed to go anyway else to be honest. Loved the burger and beers. Oysters from the fish shop were not too bad.

Actually I don’t understand why so many people recommend here as a must go in Christchurch. As far as I understand, it’s just a food court in CBD…. anyway, maybe it’s location maybe it’s diversity of food options, but I really have any passion to buy something. Just so so.

We love visiting the Riverside Market whenever we visit Christchurch. Delicious food options, amazing coffee. Very trendy and always busy. Plenty of extra seating upstairs. We chose a selection of pastries from Bellbird Bakery, their Cheese and Chilli scroll was incredible and the Pain Au Chocolat was aaamazzzing!! Also the toasties at Charing Cross Cheesery are delicious, we has the Dutch Tosti and it was so so good. Empire coffee has the best coffee and they seem really popular. Definitely a must visit, 100% recommend.

With such a range of food stalls there's something for everyone to enjoy! On several visits throughout the day we enjoyed the sushi train, coffee stall, and bubble tea place. Everything we had was really good and server's at all three places were really nice.

Riverside Market in Christchurch is a vibrant food haven with an extensive array of stalls offering a variety of choices like burgers, fried chicken, and sandwiches, showcasing the usual delights of New Zealand cuisine. It's a great place to just pop in and pick whatever you fancy to eat. However, be prepared for crowds, as it can get quite busy, making it sometimes challenging to find a spot.

We went there to have dinner. Plenty of choices. The first store on your left side coming in from the entrance, selling roasted pork was fabulous! We ordered two plates of roasted pork. The spaghetti was also quite decent .

This place is so cool with so many food outlets under one roof, there’s something for everyone. Must visit if you’re in Christchurch CBD

Wow ! This place is alive and fun. We went on a late Friday evening. Lot of people without being crowded - maybe because it was a late winter evening and drizzling. Still, a lot of outlets, yummy looking food options, seating and good cheer all around. Definitely recommended for tourists to visit at least once in the evening.

Amazing place to visit, love the mixture of stores and food stalls. Plenty to choose from and the atmosphere is great. A little difficult to find seating for large groups (7 of us), but it wasn’t impossible. The Riverside Butchery did very nice half ribs for $20. Definitely go for full because it was delicious!

Love how every store is unique with its own unique range of products that you can’t find at a supermarket. Love the vibes of this place and best of all, there are loads of food stalls to choose from. A great place for lunch or dinner especially on a cold winters day. 🍩🍮🍱🍜

👍: -Many different types of food to choose from, from many different countries. -Very reasonably priced -There's restaurants on the second floor if you don't like the stalls from below. -Great atmosphere! -There's alcoholic drinks stalls! 👎: -Not so easy to find seats. It's free seating. I'd recommend finding a seat first and having someone seated down before sending people to buy food.

Super cute establishment near our hotel (crowne plaza). You can find all sorts of foods here, from Indian to Argentina, and all of them smell/look so yum. There are also a plenty of bars here. Highly recommend!

An interesting and popular place in Christchurch for those looking for foods of varieties in one destination. A beautifully constructed building with high ceilings and stalls, bars, restaurants, and even a cooking school in it. Nice layout with seatings easily available around. We had the Indonesian food with coloured rice and dishes. They were delicious, especially liked the deep-fried chicken. There was a long queue for the waffle, which was worth the wait as it was really good. I also had one of the best tasting latte here.....so flavourful.....thumbs-up!

We arrived just as it was closing so we didn't get to enter the market area. We were able to head up the stairs and look around from there. The many stalls were interesting and I would have wanted to look through them but we were flying out that night. The upper levels had a nice view of the market and did have some restaurants and tables. It was a nice place to look around even though it was technically closed.

A popular riverside market to visit when in Christchurch. Offers a great variety of food, food stalls & takeaways. Well worth a visit. I had crepes for a light lunch snack - delicious! And some local talent who busk at the market to add to the atmosphere.

It's a food court with a wide selection of Greek for, Vietnamese food, Japanese, Maylasia, Hongkong, Indian...and dessert shops like donuts, biscuits, milk tea, ice cream...several alcoholic beverage stalls, liquor stores and a few restaurants upstairs. The area is nicely decorated, the seats are comfortable.

A great place to find something to appeal to almost any palette. Spaced out, not overbearing. Some tenancies are small and deserve more room but that's just how it is.signing for bathrooms and parent areas is lacking and you have to search for them.
