Laurel and I enjoyed the tour with Darcy, who did a wonderful job leading the group through multiple area bars while dispensing historical background and the local brews. He has a nice balance of being interesting and entertaining without being overbearing. We highly recommmend.

This tour was absolutely wonderful! We learned a ton about Auckland and New Zealand history and got to see some great bars along the way. Darcy tells many historical stories in fun and interesting ways so they really stick with you. Also, it was a great way to get to know the area. 10/10 would recommend!

Such a great intro to the city! Highly recommend taking this tour. We had several cider/wine drinkers and we were well taken care of. Lots of NZ history, cool local history, and even some cool stuff about why some buildings are designed the way they are. And of course, lots of local beer and cider! Plenty of bathroom breaks and not too much walking. Darcy is super knowledgeable and brings great vibes.

A fantastic and unique way to spend an evening! So much more than your typical pub-crawl... it was wonderful fun, very funny, and very informative. Best entertainment I've had in a long time. i had a friend visiting from overseas and they suggested going on this tour. As I grew up and lived in Auckland my whole life I was a little hesitant to go on the tour. Nevertheless the tour was a blast. Darcy was an amazing tour guide and I learnt a lot about the history of NZ and the city. Darcy was also great to have casual chats with. When he discovered that I was going to South East Asia on a backpacking trip he went over and above and answered all of my questions about the trip. Highly recommend this tour!

Definitely not your average walking tour, it's a lot of hidden stories and info that I don't think you'd notice just wandering round town on your own. I don't know Auckland so well so everything was new to me anyway, but my friend that I went with did and I think that they were surprised how much new stuff they found out from it too. The guide was super knowledgeable and really good at including people and their specific interests into the facts and info. The other people in the group were great too, all on the same level, I think it would be social even if you went on your own. It was a really cool experience, I would really recommend.
