Okay let's be honest who hasn't found their family wandering around a city wishing they had a place they could get rid of pent up aggravation and have fun at the same time. Well lucky the Adams family we found SWEET AXE THROWING CO. We made a booking online and they were very good at communicating with us. We arrived prior to our booking, as instructed, to complete our waivers. We were greeted with a smile and were soon taken to our throwing stall after it was properly cleaned. SETH was our excellent instructor and after he taught us the safety procedures and how to throw an axe properly, it was our turn. It's harder than you think but seriously so much fun. Seth gave us a few pointers and then ran us through a few games. The hour flew by quickly whilst we were having SO MUCH FUN and that aggravation, stated earlier, gone. Smiles all around! We added a Champions package (socks, hat, tshirt) and it was a massive success, everyone left with something, not to mention the memories. My son became an Axe Addict which is a great program to throw more often. They have locations in both Wellington and Auckland. Do not hesitate, for the sake of you family or relationships, throw an axe or two. Trust me you will not be disappointed.

Rang the guys up at sweet ace throwing around mid day and they managed to get me and my girlfriend in that afternoon. Was our first time trying it out along with another couple. Lloyd taught us all about the art of axe throwing, ran a competition and loads of different games for us. Made us feel really welcome and had a great bit of fun. Highly recommend

Had an amazing work function which ended at the Sweet Axe Throwing Co. today. It was a great deal of fun, and the staff were super helpful and really friendly. All of our crew were smiling ear to ear throughout, and we'd love to go again soon! 10/10 would recommend!

This was a fun afternoon with family. Our instructors inspired confidence in the novices in our group and we all had such a great time. Some instruction was a little fast perhaps but the vibe was certainly upbeat and affirming. The whole session was very well run and the final battle was very exciting.

We went for a family outing. Blokes were skeptical... but what a fun arvo! Our "axman' guide Alex, was awesome. They are super inclusive regardless of age/ability and clear with instructions. Would totally recommend to anyone wanting a fun hour or two

We had our work Christmas party here. I was a bit nervous about it but they give you some training before the games start which really helped and once you know what to do it's easier than you think it'll be (and very safe). The staff are awesome and not intimidating at all - thanks Jay and Jack! I really enjoyed it, it's super satisfying!

Attended sweet axe today with a small group for a holiday program! Seth was our Axepert and he did a great job with keeping us engaged with his enthusiasm and knowledge. His instruction was on point and fun! He was very nice and friendly with a good sense of humour and explained the instructions clearly and at different levels so everyone was able to understand :) Overall great experience with a “10/10” given on the ride home!

Wow! What an amazing experience. We went to Sweet Axe for our team bonding activity and we had such an amazing time. Lloyd, our “axe-pert”, was truly amazing. He kept us all engaged, entertained and best of all - safe. There were so many activities to do there and and we really enjoyed seeing how talented some of our co-workers are. I booked our team in for their Christmas do, none of us had thrown an axe before and a couple of us hesitant. We did the 2hr session and absolutely loved it. Could have been there all day. Well worth it and lots of fun. Our axe host was hilarious and got us all involved. Go on, book it!

We had a fun team day. We were 13 workmates from under 30 to over 60 years old and we all had a good time. I was surprised by how quickly you learn how to throw an axe. Staff (Seth and J) were friendly and put a lot of effort on cheering us up.

Thank you so much to our amazing axe-pert Joe for showing us such a fun and entertaining experience. . My son and his friends had a wonderful and thrilling time celebrating his birthday around Wellington and our visit hear was definitely the high light of our day. Turns our teenage boys are quite competitive... Who knew 😂. Absolute blast. Thanks for having us.

Had an absolute blast of a time! Seth was great and really did an awesome job of looking after us and made our experience a lot of fun! All the staff were super friendly. Would highly recommend as a date night idea or going with a few mates and having some friendly competition!

What a great experience! We headed out for a team building exercise to release some pent up frustrations and have a laugh and that was perfectly achieved! Highly recommended for event! Special mention and thank you to Alex who was fantastic as our trainer and Health & Safety expert! So much fun had by all!

The staff were amazing, H&S was first but they always made it fun. Some of our Social Club weren't sure what to expect but everyone got on board and had an amazing night. There aren't many great alcohol free fun events in Wellington, but this is one of them! Highly recommend axe throwing for team building and social events. Took a Stag Do I was hosting here to start our night off on Saturday. Was an amazing start, with lots of banter and good fun. Would highly recommend this to anyone planning the same or something similar. The staff here were top notch, professional and entertaining. I don't recall the names, but it was one of our hosts first night with a big group and she absolutely killed, flawless!

What a wicked experience! Would highly recommend coming no matter the age you are! Came for a 1hr session with 3 other mates and was so much fun. Lloyd facilitated our session and was awesome. Made you feel so welcome, had great energy and was super friendly. Also real supportive in helping if you’re a beginner. Big up Lloyd, give that man a raise! 💪🏼❤️

We are Wellington based and were looking for something different to do. Went as a group of 8 that included adults and kids. It was fun for everyone. Our instructor Joe managed to balance out the safety aspect of a fairly dangerous activity with a level of humour and joy which suited the occasion. The dress ups were a nice feature that added entertainment for kids and adults alike. If you are ever questioning whether you should give a go - my suggestion is to do it. We will definitely be going back and challenge everyone to support our local businesses!

We booked a night of axe throwing for my company and we had the absolute best time. Everyone has been raving about it since. It was a novel experience and everyone working there is professional and so much fun. In planning the event, they were incredibly responsive and helpful and it all went off without a hitch. We're hoping to make it a yearly thing. Thanks especially to Lloyd, and all the other incredible staff for making it a night to remember!

I visited the Wellington site with my work team this week and wow! So much fun! My colleagues were a little bit concerned with the activity but Seth and George were quick to put our minds at ease. I was so impressed with the feedback I got from them both and how detailed they were with their feedback to help improve my throwing. So it was very satisfying when I was finally able to take their feedback on board and hit a sweet spot! Thank you George and Seth, you were amazing and made the experience one to remember. We had so much fun and would love to come back in future.
