We were very fortunate to have a walk in session. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The views from the hot tubs were stunning. The lake had frozen over for the winter. The pools and facilities were well maintained and clean. Highly recommend anyone coming through the area to book a stop. Shout out to Jill for being such a lovely host.

It was a lovely experience to have this private tub for yourself. They have approx 10 sites and they are all very well separated. Very hot and wonderful quiet place with the river and ducks. The only downside is that not all the sites have this perfect mountain view as seen on the picture, but you can still see them from an other angle

We greatly enjoyed soaking away our tired muscles after hiking in Mount Cook National Park. The (minimum) 90 minute session was just the right amount of time as it includes walking and changing time. Nice that you could buy a glass of champagne to have while soaking. We paid $120 for two of us and had private access to the tub and a changing room. We appreciated that you could control the temperature because it got quite hot!

We booked a site comprising of a wood fired hot tub, a shelter with a changing room and a sauna, that we had to turn on. We had a view of a lake with ducks and mountain ranges. We were allocated 90 minutes. The tub's temperature can be customized by turning on a cold water tap. Increasing the temperature only requires opening a vent for a short time. Word of warning... There is a chimney that can get very hot. Avoid touching. It is worthwhile after a days cycling on the A2O trail.

Driving from Mt Cook to Wanaka and spotted the signage while driving. What a good decision it was to stop! We were lucky that it was a relatively quiet hour and we were able to walk in and use a tub. Normally they're fully booked out. So refreshing and relaxing and well built. Heaters for when you're getting changed!

Not many tourists spot in Omarama but if you ever stay overnight or pass by this small town this might be a must visit place for you a very similar concept to Japanese onsen whereby you have a chance to immense yourself in a hot tub especially during winter each hot tub is secluded and fronting a lake with a good view of snow mountains if you would like to have a good view of glazing stars strongly suggest that you come after dark less food choices now due to short of staffs

A lovely way to unwind at the end of a week of exploring from Christchurch through to Omarama. As soon as you walk in the door the process is well defined making it easy to enjoy the tubs. I would definitely visit again if in the area.

This place is hot. Literally. The Hot tubs here are located outside, so in the sun it can get a bit hot. But overall it was a good experience. Just to consider, as much as it might seem private, the people next to us could see us, and we could see them, although there was some shrubs that maybe just need to grow a bit more. It's good value and something different. Would go back.

Beautiful location with great service! The tubs overlook a duck pond. Tubs are private with your own outdoor shower and changing room

Quite a nice place in the middle of the highway. There are tesla superchargers nearby which you can considering taking a break in the tubs while charging your car. It was quite a nice experience to soak in the hot tubs while in the cooling weather, looking at nature and ducks. However, facilities seems abit dated and not full. We got a bath that does not have a shower, or rather, it was spoilt and not working and had to go to main building for it. They provided some cups and water but the cups dont look very clean actually. Nonetheless, overall experience is good and recommended. Some food & pizza available at the lobby too.

We really enjoyed this unique experience. We love hot tubs, but this was like no other. Heated by fire, you get to enjoy that smoky smell while watching the ducks skid across the water in their landing. Each tub is secluded from the other. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Omarama is a lovely and peaceful town near lake tekapo. And hot tubs is easy to find on the town. Every tub is private. We got a tub with quite circumstances and good view of the pond. It’s really nice to have a small break here in a thrilling trip to the south island.

Simply magical. Beautiful setting, extreme relaxation and excellent staff make this a must do! Stop off here to stretch your legs and let the tub wash away residual city stresses. We went at 8pm in winter - it was delightful and the Milky Way was in full view. Would 100% come back.

Overall a good hot tubs experience but could have been much much improved. First of all be aware that the kitchen closes at 6:30pm. Before coming here we did an onsen experience next to Queenstown and that one was on a different level even though the price was slightly cheaper. The views from the tub here were alright, but nothing too special. There wasn’t much privacy as there were people swimming in the lake (this part is ok I guess). You could hear the noice from the cars on the road and no light music. There was a cold shower but not suitable for washing (I later saw that there was a proper shower next to the reception, but the receptionist hasn’t told anything about it). No hair dryer or soap. And most of all I wish they would put their kitchen open hours somewhere, as we were planning to have one of their nice platters, but were not able to since our session was ending at 6:30pm, when their kitchen closes. I asked if we could order beforehand, leave the session a bit earlier and still eat, but the receptionist was not at all accommodating.

WOW, what an awesome place. Staying in Ōmarama this week and had the opportunity to go to Wera Tubs Ōmarama a couple of times. Best 2 hours spent soaking in the wera tub and sitting in the sauna. View from the site was lovely, over looking the water and viewing the hukarere capped mountains. The wildlife was adorable especially the mums with there wee chicks swimming around 😍. If you passing thru Ōmarama do allow time and book a wera tub (book early as it gets booked out fast) or if your staying for aa few days, definitely make the time to go, you won't be disappointed. Awesome menu selection too and the kāwhe was really ka pai too.

Very Rude staff , not sure if it’s due to 7:30pm booking cause to their late time-off. If your staff not happy with late night booking, don’t sell the time slot. OnSen better overall 👍

Absolute must if you get a chance in the area! What a treat watching the Alps changing colours at dusk while soaking in crystal clear hot bath. The drinking water they provide is so pure and smooth and you can even taste the sweetness of the water itself. Staff also friendly and welcoming. P.S. My first booking has to be cancelled due to the unfortunate event of being stranded in Mt Cook. First opportunity I got through the phone was less than half an hour of my original session time. Lady at reception kindly gave me full refund. It is really appreciated while some other businesses insisted full charges on cancellation despite the fact that it was caused by an unforeseenable natural disaster.

Nice and relaxing outdoor hot tub. We ordered the Antipasto and dessert platters to enjoy afterward. Did the Clay cliffs walk nearby.. Fantastic stop for road trip 👍🏻

There is something about taking a break from driving just to sit back and chill out in a hot tub which is a wood fire. Snowy mountains all around. Temperature just above zero on a crisp cloudless day. Choice of drinks & cheese or sweet boards while you bath. Came out after feeling refreshed and if we are down that way in the winter doing it all over again. Magical.

Lovely activity! It was a very hot day though so can imagine it’s much more relaxing in the winter. Was great to be able to add cold water though and it was really private and enjoyable.

Definitely a trip highlight and a beautiful place with realistic chances of booking a slot. Prices are reasonable and good privacy overlooking a small pond. The ability to vary water temp is a big plus for we have a child sensitive to high temps. We ordered a charcuterie board later and it was fabulous. I'll return if I have the chance.

👍 Can only comment on the coffee as that's all we had. It was a necessary break stop on the way back to Christchurch Airport & have to say the flat white was surprisingly good for a self serve road stop eatery. After coffee we enjoyed browsing the adjoining gift shop. Great choice for a rest stop.

👍👍 Amazing place! A random stop along the way turned out to be the best lunch during our trip across both NZ islands! Stonegrill is a must try (we tried lamb), it's both a delicacy and an experience.
