Otter Park

Park

👍 I wouldn’t exactly call it a park and you won’t see any real otters, however you can enjoy a walk along the river. You will see sculptured otters and there is the long stone bridge once leading to a water mill. While standing on the bridge you will see the weir. Your walk can also take in the Trent... I wouldn’t exactly call it a park and you won’t see any real otters, however you can enjoy a walk along the river. You will see sculptured otters and there is the long stone bridge once leading to a water mill. While standing on the bridge you will see the weir. Your walk can also take in the Trent locks, a view of the historic Newark castle made famous by the civil war. There are three riverside pubs offering a good selection of food and drinks.

Small pretty park 🏞 overlooking the river, playful otter statues in the middle. Quiet place to reflect, or read and watch the boats go by.

Unique place. Quite a little patch of green oasis hidden between houses on a bank of River Trent. Many times I passed Otter Park and didn't know about its existence. Just lately on my morning jog stopped for a while next to it and first time spotted it. Of course stayed here for a couple of minutes. Good place to stop while walking along River.

Nice areas near the river not far from the castle which is free to walk around. Toilets in the main car park near the little cafe.

A little gated garden overlooking the river Trent. Fantastic little place for a rest, picnic, a natter or a pretty place to sit.
