Plum Island Lighthouse

Tourist attraction Historical landmark

👍 I wasn't able to enter the lighthouse. It was closed for the season. It is scenic, lights up with a green light and the grounds are maintained. A nice garden is off to the side. If you visit the beach ⛱️, it is a short distance from the beach entrance. People often mention beach, lighthouse, light,

Expensive parking at the end of a neighbourhood. Access to the beach from parking lot

Nice display of an old lighthouse. Some historic plaques but I wish there was more historic information. Worth a quick stop if you are in the area.

Pretty cute lighthouse. I wouldn't go just for it, but if on the way it's worth stopping by :)

It is a very nice lighthouse and I highly recommend walking by it while you are at the beach. From what I understand it is open sometimes but I have never been in. It seems cool and fully restored. It has a nice green light. Highly recommend visiting.

Not much of a light house. More like a beacon and it ain't on the beach or a jetty. But there is a nice dog friendly beach so it barely makes 3stars.

Quiet area. Lots of information on light house. Parking was high for just a few hours 20. We could tell holiday weekend lots of beer cans and trash on beach beautiful area and views

We walked from our hotel to this little gem of a light house on Plum island. The lady who was putting up a new sign talked to us and answered some questions, even though it was the off season. I highly recommend you call ahead and plan a private tour so you can climb to the top!

Steetside not seaside. Cool light house but high priced beach parking. Not much of a photo op. There are cooler lighthouses to visit.

Small lighthouse, hidden at the end of Plum Island. View of river nearby was lovely but beach area not accessible. Did stumble on an unexpected find in Plum Island Soap company. Delightful little shop with homemade natural products. Manager was very helpful and engaging. Small town of Newbury nearby.

Lighthouse is at the end of the Island, it was locked and the driveway was for a private residence. Not really a tourist attraction. Very scenic location.

Only if you want to add this to your list of lighthouses and have a driving break between Boston and Portland.

Beautiful old lighthouse, well maintained with historical info on a sign nearby. The only confusing thing is that a residence is adjacent to the lighthouse so it looks like you're turning into someone's driveway.

We were here in the winter and there were no tours of the interior available. Still, it is a picturesque setting and if you can go inside on a tour the views must be wonderful. For history buffs, the Plum Island Lighthouse holds stories of maritime adventures and the challenges faced by early keepers. Its presence serves as a living testament to the rich maritime heritage of the region. Informational plaques on-site provide insights into the lighthouse's history and significance.
