The best food I've had in a long time. Will defo be back

Always fresh, tasty and unbelievable value for money. £2.50 for a single meat, £3.00 for both. Available in wrap or sandwich, both amazing. If you've not tried it pop in. Takeaway or eat-in. Update Dec 2022: I still pop in here reasonably regularly including today. Prices have increased a little over the years but of course that's to be expected. Still delicious and still great value. Oh and I've a added a photo or two of today's sandwich which was 10/10

Got a chicken wrap other day. Chicken was burnt on parts (considering there was only me in the shop near closing and the lad was standing watching it). Chicken had an awful taste to it and there was more fat than chicken. The lads seem nice and the salad etc was nice and fresh but the chicken was absolutely awful. Nearly a full wrap in the bin. Really disappointed

I’ve been a lot of different cities and trying different shawermas but no one likes them and I believe this one is the best one. All boys really friendly and kind and always try to give you a best service. Highly recommend them shawarma plus mango souse 😋

Can't do.enough for you. All the food is next level. A huge selection of salad, particularly like the parsley being an option. Highly recommend the lamb and the lamb skewer

In Sunderland, this shawarma restaurant stands out as one of the best spots for local cuisine. You might find the portions a bit smaller than expected, but the quality of the food more than compensates for it. The establishment itself may show signs of wear and tear, and the customer service could use a bit of a boost in terms of warmth and welcome. However, these minor drawbacks in no way diminish the fact that it's an excellent choice for a swift takeaway meal when you're in a hurry.

I have gone to shawarma grill everytime I've been in hospital... as a form of gift to myself, and trust me - it really is a gift. I'm in there all the damn time and its AMAZING. The food is actually to die for. If I drove I'd go bankrupt due to being there for every meal of the year. Everything on the menu is delicious, so there's no fret if you're new to Arabic food, you'll get something you'll love. The staff are consistent and there's one guy in particular who always does my shawarma and he's the friendliest guy ever. Haven't had much experience with the rest but he's amazing, friendly as all hell and patient too. I'd recommend this to ANYONE and EVERYONE who are near this area to at least give it a try. I'd recommend the chicken shawarma, as thats my go to. Unfortunately I don't believe they deliver, I've tried to find anything on any delivery apps but nada. They have a few posters for The Food House, but unable to deliver every time... lucky for me... I'd spend too much.

Had a Chicken Shawarma and Shish Taouk wraps and both were really delicious. The freshly baked bread is an edge over any other wrap. The gents working there are really nice as well and accommodating. Will definitely buy from here again

Being scottish didnt really know what to order so guys in shop helped me. Meal was lovely and fresh and tasted amazing will definetly be ordering again. Great price also

Had my first ever shawarma from here and regularly go back. They make their own bread and it makes all the difference. Amazing.

Hands down the best tasting wraps in Sunderland. The bread is always hand made, the veggies always fresh and the lamb is proper shawarma lamb: chunks of real lamb on a spit. I love the pickle sauce too; if you like lime pickle, try the sauce instead of (or as well as) chilli/garlic. Freshly made baklava too if you fancy something sweet after.
