Loved the new library. Great layout and facility. Staff always available to assist. Library on Level 1 and 2.

The great place for everyone. Especially the study space. Thank you for supporting the students. But unfortunately the library has not updated their website about Easter holiday season opening time. Much appreciated if they can update the opening hours throughout the year.

A very impressive modern building nestled in the Square. Totally awesome space with facilities among the best i have seen and come across. Well done Parramatta City Library.

I must say I have had great experience with the staff members of the library. Very friendly and they go above and beyond to help you with your new library card or any other services that the library provides like printing. Also if you call them they are really helpful and patient to hear you out while on phone. The JP service gets busy at times but the JP is very nice and friendly.

Appreciate Parramatta council, updated old Parramatta library, improve its value, convenience, great facilities and great location. Wonderful 👍👍👍

New Parra library is absolutely beautiful, state of the art, makes me want to read

Best library in Sydney, hands down. I go to a lot of libraries (sadly) and many have fancy architecture now but Parramatta has the nice exterior and really functional and usable spaces. This is a huge gift to local students and other residents. Even the lobby has some great spaces for chatting or studying and we're playing only EDM bangers today which is the absolutely correct study music!

New building is extraordinary. Checkouts are awesome. Staff are as usual very kind and helpful. Layout and space is very good. Easy parking and access from Westfield Parramatta (exit via the train station access area from level-1)

Great facility for the readers and others as well. For printing its use worthy but the printing process is little complicated. Usage of the computers by the non members is chargeable for a fee though it’s immaterial but library should give it to the needy. Overall great experience.

Nancy is rudest customer service staff in Parramatta Library, she would treat you like you committed some crime by visited the library. Thanks to supervisor Nisa who took the action.

Most terrible library i've ever been to. Disrespectful staff that clearly have got around 3 brain cells left, because they just look at you like robots when you ask them something. The staff prowl around the isles with their beady eyes, to be honest i'd rather do my work in parra square with the eshays breathing down my neck than the old stinky library staff.

Was looking for a jp and was told to come in at 10.30 and they will slot me in inbetween bookings. Arrived at 10.30 on the dot and apparently there was no space for me i dont live close to the library so it was a massive inconvenience to tell me to come to the library and then once im there tell me to go somewhere else. Advised the staff on the phone that i was desperate for these documents to be signed and after wasting my time i had to run around like a headless choock trying to find another place to certify a one page document. Would definitely not recommend.

Location is wonderful and it gives me perfect vibe to be wanting to read. But just one thing, the new library seems they have not set up any after hour chute outside the building to return borrowed books. The building does not allow access after library hours during weekend (not sure about weekdays) so you cannot use any chute even if there's one inside building. I only hope there is any chute outside of the building.

Do not recommend going to this library. Horrible, unfriendly staff. Merrylands Library is very close to this library, go there instead. Don't put up with their bs. They don't even allow school kids enter their library just because they're not vaccinated, THEY'RE KIDS NOT ADULTS. anyway 0/5 stars plus slow wifi.

Ridiculous covid rules, security is rude and people under 16 need supervision?? There needs to be a different approach to this because high school students should be able to study in the library without parents having to go with them if they are under 16.

I had a writing session here at evening time, and I love it. This new Library is very modern in terms of layout and design, and i like the colour of their interior, trust me it looks dramatic in the photos since they used red and green, but it’s actually very soothing to sit here and do your reading/writing/studying.

Absolutely 5 star modern library in Sydney! Just a short walk from the train station and bus terminal. Plenty of sitting area from Ground to level 1 to level 2. Library is located in Level 1 and level 2 with easy access via lift. Toilets are just outside of the library. Easily spend the entire day here!

What a wonderful update from the old library! I couldn’t explore much but bigger and better I would say! Just a small inconvenience to locate in Parramatta square. Clearly we can see the address but I was still searching and asking people. Had another person as well who was searching ! If possible to have some boards suggesting library?! I understand there is some construction underway but even the pole in middle of the road which directs to different street doesn’t point towards parra library. Google maps is not very accurate which was a hassle!

Friendly staff who answered your phone, trying to be very polite and helpful, neat two floors of books ,titles could be limited but neatly arranged. No car parking and easy access from Macquarie Street, best will be trains and walk into the Parramatta square..

Great new building and layout, but remains like all other public libraries in Australia, where there’s no respect for peace and quiet. Kids and teens make a lot of noise, as if they were just at a mate’s place, and no staff member seems to even notice.

I visit every couple of weeks. The new location is a marked improvement. Spread over two levels with a returns space and check-out kiosks on both. The fiction books are a strength here. There is a good mix of classics, Australian authors, new releases & books hyped by TikTok. The electronic library is extensive including both audiobooks and e-reads. Lots of places to sit including some with charging ports. Staff members are visible if you need help with something.

Very disappointed with the lack of new books lately, understand covid has impacted things but books that at least should be on order I have to put purchase suggestions in and then can only put in 5. Cooking books from Ottolenghi , Neil Perry, Bios from well know aussies not in catalogue. New Hannah Kent book not there. Friend used to borrow books for me before I moved into area and had a very good range, now hardly any good books especially pre-release titles. Poor customer service to have to constantly ask for books. Parramatta Library used to be ahead of the book trends, now they seem behind, may have to go elsewhere.

Nice place to study and getting things done

The new place is hard to get to without going through the station and In the entire square there are no bike racks, and due to construction your not allowed to put your bike anywhere near the entrance. Like what's the point in going then. The quantity of books is not great either. Blacktown has a much better selection.

Such a wonderful experience. Friendly staff helped me to get my library card and showed me how to use the printer. There are multiple places to sit down, some with charge points. Book varieties more towards to leisure than academic. I hope they get more books in the future. Toilet is clean. Ground level is just a lobby. Books are located in level 1 and 2. Printer and PC are on level 2.

We love our visits to this library! We visit every month. Our 4 year old is super excited, has a topic (or few) to pick books on every time. The staff ia very friendly and the book collection is great. Thank you so much!

It’s the biggest library near our home. Many books to choose from but we sat on the floor to read books. Sofa was not so comfortable.

Meeting rooms within Library are spacious. Chairs & Tables are stackable. Support for the community is a generous idea. A huge THANK YOU goes out to the council.

Right next to Paramatta Station, well managed, well equipped Library with books, xerox machine, scanner, printer , desktops, DVDs and what not. Ideal for students and business centre needs.

An ambience of calm and inducing reading readiness... great customer experience and staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. They also allow people to conduct community development programmes... facilities to take print out, scan and internet... ergonomics, whatelse we need...
