Can’t get enough of these butter-tarts!! There’s a reason this is voted the best time after time, they have so many fun flavours and all the traditional ones you could ask for. You can also really tell talking to the staff that they prioritize the highest quality for their baked goods.

I got many kinds of butter tarts: Plane, Black Forest mocha, Pecan chocolate chips coconut, and Biscoff. My favorite is Black Forest :) all of these are great taste tho❤️ I absolutely agree why they got awards so many times🤩 I definitely come back this place when I visit to Newmarket.

We recently spent a couple of nights in Newmarket, and trying these butter tarts was high on my list—they’ve been on my radar for a while, and I’m so glad we finally made it. They totally lived up to the hype! They have an awesome selection of flavours, and we grabbed a half dozen to try. Salted caramel and the original were my top picks, but honestly, they were all so good. We also tried their new butter tart cookie, and it was ridiculously delicious. We grabbed some takeout breakfast too and brought it back to the hotel—it hit the spot and was just as good as everything else. It’s easy to see why this place has been voted Ontario’s best butter tarts. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out.

Truly the best butter tart! The crust is fantastic and not an afterthought, this is what sets it apart from other tarts. So many options, and all great buy my top favourite is the Apple Buttertart.

Best tarts ever made in the world!!! Full stop no competition!! My family and I are all in love woth theirs tarts and all flavors taste incredible and super fresh. Delicious and fresh hot tasty!! Yom yom can't wait to get more again. Warning to the waistline as no one can say no to these delicacies! ❤️❤️

This place did not disappoint! They had tons of butter tarts to choose from. We grabbed breakfast and an about a dozen tarts. It’s a quiet little place on the inside and they have a little patio out front where tourists can eat. Would for sure recommend!

Apparently everyone in Newmarket and beyond is aware of the deliciousness that are these award-winning butter tarts. I almost feel embarrassed for never having heard of them, as I pride myself on being a butter tart connoisseur. We got the pecan tart, and the tart bits…that’s right “tart bits” as in the pieces of the tarts that are normally discarded during the making of the butter tarts but are extra sweet and delicious and are, debatably, the best part of the butter tart!

The Maids' Cottage's butter tarts are voted among the best in Ontario, and I can see why! The tart crust/shell may look thick and dense, but it's actually very light without being dry. The filling was also delicious and not overdone. They have the more traditional flavours (original, pecan, raisin), but also some seasonal ones like Biscoff, gingerbread, and pumpkin. The place has been around for a while now and has been known for its butter tarts, so they must be doing something right! The restaurant that used to be attached is no longer available.
