Doctors are great, practices manager and nurse great, one receptionist is lovely but the other is absolutely terrible. Rude, offensive, literally makes every person she speaks to want to leave. I have never come across someone who is allowed anything to do with health care speak to people the way she does. Hangs up, in tells you to go online and she canā€™t help you. The other receptionist did and so did the practice manager but this tyrant? No chance. I am literally changing surgeries due to the lack of care, respect and humanity in this woman. Horrible person. Really hope someone from there reads the comments

A bad experience. I have been waiting for two months to fill out a form for my private health insurance. This sounds incompetent. I write again today 26th of June 2022 as pased four months and didnā€™ t receive nothing, the NHS employees are paied from our taxes, are arogant and discriminatory, in four months didnā€™ t manage to fill out two phrases for my private insurance. Deplorable management, they need to take measures!

The receptionists are notoriously rude, unhelpful and dismissive. If you have a serious condition or issue I would not recommend this practice. Management need to speak with their receptionists about their lack of ā€˜bedside mannerā€™. Or just donā€™t work at a GP if you canā€™t be helpful or have any compassion. Your patients health should be a priority hence why they are there (or trying to make an appointment). Itā€™s very frustrating at how unhelpful the staff are. Every time I need to contact them I dread it because I know theyā€™re going to make it very difficult. I totally get why generically the elderly donā€™t bother making an appointment now and when they do get an appointment then itā€™s too late because theyā€™ve succumbed to an illness that is no longer treatable! UPDATE - I have since spoken to the surgery and I am absolutely disgusted with the behaviour and lack of compassion. I requested a telephone appointment. But they booked me in for a face to face at EAGLESTONE HOSPITAL at 7:45pm in October (when I asked for a telephone appointment). Logistically makes no sense to book me somewhere completely random when I live next to Watling! Honestly I couldnā€™t even get a word in. She was so rude and Patronising. She had no intention of ever helping me. I asked for a telephone appointment, I didnā€™t want a face to face one yet. But she said she couldnā€™t do that because it wasnā€™t booked on her system and the doctor advised that it be a face to face instead and that it was booked by someone else. So when I asked if whoever booked it could change it to a telephone appointment she said that it wasnā€™t anyone at the surgery, it was someone somewhere else. So I said ā€œso I need to contact Eaglestone Hospitalā€ and she said she doesnā€™t know what their process isā€¦ So when I said Iā€™ll wait for an appointment at Watling. She said 16th October is the earliestā€¦ I said I would call at 8am on a Monday for an appointment and she said they donā€™t do that anymore, itā€™s all onlineā€¦ Personally I think they know who I am because of my truthful review and chose to intentionally make things even more difficult for me. Thatā€™s how it felt. I actually had to end the call because she wasnā€™t helping. Itā€™s such a shame too because it used to be a good surgery years ago, but there must have been a change in staff or something because the customer service is appalling. The doctors are great itā€™s just the receptionist / administrative staff that tarnish the reputation. I just canā€™t believe they treat people like this. If theyā€™re making it difficult for me I can only imagine the elderly. It really does worry me that theyā€™re not in good hands.

Nurses are so lovely and DR Quartey is my favourite doctor , very friendly and has time for his patients . Been with the practice over 30 years now . Receptionist can vary from friendly ladies to attitude if you question anything , but the nice ones out way the awkward ones . Would of given a 5 star rating if everyoneā€™s helpfulness was like the nurses and Dr Quartey .

The reception staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. Unfortunately, the reason the reception staff are rude is because the office management staff are completely rude especially Debbie a truly unpleasant beast of a person. Because they are unregulated they can talk to people in any way they like and get away with it. Dr Edwardson has recently left and decided to abandon this circus of a so-called Doctors Surgery. A 1 star is way to high for the rudeness and unhelpful behaviour. The rudest of them all is Debbie (Assistant Manager) the short older lady with bleached blond hair, beware!

Reception staff are typically rude and unhelpful, would rather finish their casual conversions before even acknowledging you. They are then usually unwilling or unable to help, or don't give you important pieces of information about when to return samples and then blame you for it. You're continuously told to use the online service which is either slow, offline or doesn't pass the information through to your GP if through a series of generic questions it decides you should go somewhere else. The only reason I'm giving a 2 stat review instead of 1 is that on the few occasions I've been able to see a nurse or doctor they have been lovely and are clearly busy. Really poor service at the first point of contact, and I would not recommend.

The receptionists are always friendly and helpful. They have gone above and beyond to sort out queries and issues for me. The nurses and HCAs are also superb, taking time to make sure things like blood tests are as calm and swift as possible. I've only gives 4 stars because some of the GPs are rather rushed and I have felt bundled out before being properly heard, then had to seek a second opinion. But definitely the friendliest reception staff I've ever come across!

Very bad service all around. Receptionists are rude and unhelpful, you are always pushed back to go online, and the website tries to make you go to the A&E in most situations. So you are genuinely left helpless when you are ill. If you managed to get a GP's call back and feedback, then nothing seems urgent. I am 8 months pregnant and in distress and it's not even a priority. I got called back almost a day later to be refused the medicine I was prescribed so far and told to calm down or to seek another practice. Finally, on a couple of occasions, prescriptions are sent to pharmacies without the patient being informed, while in the meantime you will be left in pain and worried. I will not recommend.

I put in a Klinik request for an appointment for a problem with my hand and was seen in person by Dr Quartey a few hours later. He explained to me what needed to be done and put my fears to rest. I have been coming to this surgery for nearly 35 years and have found all the nurses, front staff and the doctors very helpful despite working under pressure. Please keep up the good work and thank you.

My son has a fungle infection on his face. He was advised to use an antibiotic cream a month ago via telephone conversation which you could buy over the counter. Itā€™s left him even worst. Tried to book an appointment with gp yesterday we failed to do so. We were told the computer had been closed down at 4.00 pm. Tried to speak to the practice manager Debbie but she just continuously spoke over you so as it became a shouting match. She is rude arrogant and totally incompetent. In the end we were assured an it had beefed triaged by the Doctor and we wiil get an appointment. We still had not had an appointment by 2.00pm. We telephoned her again it was a repeat of the previous call. Later when i tried to ring there was a message to say they were closed for training. This evening at 6.00pm we got a text to say he has an appointment on the 1st of Feb. I cannot fing them back because they were closed. I am going to physically go in tomorrow and demand an appointment in person. It is the worst surgeries in Milton Keynes. If you are thinking of joining this surgery I adbvise you not to. I am sueing them for medical negligence and breach of duty of care and my human rights. I have had several clashes with the.staff here and even more with Debbie the practice manager. She has no clue and desperately needs traning. The sort of woman who thinks she is something special but yet totally clueless. They have never been brilliant but things have got so bad. They cannot even claim they are busy necause its always empty in the surgery. If they have staff issues is it any wonder. Talk about the blind leading the blind. The Doctors are all to busy doing private work. None of them spend a full day in the surgery. It is a disgrace. Thought you should know you are not alone suffering this disgraceful service. My sons mum works for the NHS and she said that the treatment she received from this Debbi was an absolute disgrace. She tried to reason with her but she was just rude to her too and kept talking over her.

My family have been with Watling Vale for well over 30 years and we have always found the GPā€™s to be efficient and caring. Our family works by treating everyone with dignity and respect, it always comes back to you! We cannot fault the care we have received especially during these difficult times of the pandemic.

Tried to get a GP appointment some weeks ago. I did manage to see a paramedic regarding a cough I've had for over 8weeks. Was told I need a blood test but can't have an appointment until the end of October - my cough is much worse and very hard to breathe .

Long waiting for appointment, many steps need to pass before actually see a doctor. Emergency self check not possible, they say- ā€œwe donā€™t do body self checkā€, only if something happens serious, then they can check, but still you need to wait. Doctors speak rude, not respectful. Donā€™t want to explain anything. Appointment only through website, no email or message regarding appointments, only posts! And post coming after few weeks of your GP appointment, when it can be too late! Previous century hospital. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

A genuine example of everything wrong with our healthcare system, well qualified doctors , but terribly trained receptionists that are just rude Why do they have a job if you can't call in to the surgery I have actual evidence of the machine being put on hold permanently for 2 weeks + You are then forced to use the online booking service which is consistently shutdown, in the past 13 days it's been open 1 day I hope their being underpaid because it matches their consistency

if i could give it less I would, EXTREMELY rude receptionists, VERY unhelpful it was literally the worst experience ever, they just want you to leave and dismiss you without doing their job.. it's such a shame that in such neighborhood we can't have an equally good practice. I really hope they do better because this is very upsetting.

Quite a good service, doctors and staff are helpful. The only draw back is waiting time tp get through to speak to reception.

I have given two stars, because the only good thing I can say about this place is that they respond to my klinik requests quickly and the one receptionist lady that I spoke to today was so kind and actually cared about my concerns. However, in saying that, It has gotten to a point that whenever I have to deal with anything to do with the NHS, I get anxiety attacks! Isnā€™t that just wonderful? The very place that is supposed to make me feel at ease and look after my health actually causes my anxiety and makes it worse! It actually doesnā€™t matter what surgery you go to, if itā€™s in the UK, most of the time, you will be treated very badly. Klinik systems are often offline and to get through on the phone is a nightmare! No patient should have to wait and hold for minutes on end! Yesterday I called 9 times and was put on hold and remained in the same queue position for 20 minutes! In the end I gave up. Itā€™s not acceptable! Quite frankly I donā€™t even know why medical centres still exist because thereā€™s never any appointments for patients to attend, so I fail to understand why these buildings are still standing and running as supposed ā€˜medical centresā€™ They say that there is a staff shortage due to patients being verbal abusive, but perhaps if there were a better standard of healthcare, patients wouldnā€™t feel so frustrated and feel the need to express it! When is something going to be done in this country about the appalling healthcare???

Appointment was at 2.15pm. Wasn't called in till 2.54pm. Maybe patients should charge the NHS for the time they lose in waiting.

Spoke to a receptionist called Maisal Zeaedi if thats her real name. Me - ā€œCan I book an emergency appointment or appointment pleaseā€ Maisal - ā€œAll bookings are online on Klinikā€ Me - ā€œI donā€™t have access to onlineā€ Maisal - ā€œYou not have a phone?ā€ Me - ā€œYeah but I donā€™t have dataā€ Maisal - ā€œOkay just call back in 5 minutes as our systems are down and iā€™ll only have to ask you the same questions as you would online?ā€ Me - ā€œNo? I need an appointment now please if you donā€™t mind?ā€ Maisal ā€œWELL YEAH I DO MIND ACTUALLYā€ Maisal made me wait on the phone without a response me saying hello for 5 minutes, she eventually picked up again and started the questions, I thought she was very rude and all she tried to do is fob me off, I think management should have a word. For Watling Vales records this was at 8am on 28/02/2023

You misleading people that you take appointment on the phone you keep them on the phone waiting and after that refuse to the appointment blaming on the COVID and sending them to the website through to do an appointment. Is just ridiculous when I phone you you he said that you can book an appointment as well on the phone but you insisting on not taking any appointments on the phone which I find it ridiculous.
