We had the experience of camping here in the summer. We met family here, all with young children. 3 tents of us. And whilst we made it as nice a weekend as we could, we would never return here and will certainly not be recommending it. The weekend involved us reporting domestic abuse and violence, out of control children, dangerous drivers and a drink driver to security. And no action was taken. It was horrendous and it felt very unsafe in our tents. Our children were scared and kept awake at night (in the family friendly field we’d been recommended by the (genuinely) lovely lady who had booked it for us. During the day, we made use of the pool, the fair, the miniature train and golf and the kids had a blast. But at night, it was something else. Families and feral kids drinking, shouting and swearing until the early hours. Litter everywhere. And the cleaner tipping dirty water after mopping the toilet floors down the sink we washed our pots in (witnessed on our last day!) We left mentally exhausted and broken. Worst camp site we’ve ever stayed at and we won’t be returning. Ever

Completely and utterly run down, the fairground is covered in weeds, the amusement arcade is just basically a load of slot machines (gambling) for kids (you win tokens). One swallowed our money and didn’t work and after some bashing and grunting the lady attendant gave up and walked off without saying a word. The pool is lovely and warm but the hot tub area is closed. The entire of the camping area is covered in goose poo. A LOT of goose poo. It’s dog friendly yet only if they are chained to your side the entire time. I entirely understand safety and different thoughts of dogs, but even throwing a ball in a huge completely empty camping area (the one without power points) it’s not acceptable and we were given a warning. One evening a man walked past out tent, a very friendly meeting of dogs ended with ours being kicked and abuse shouted at us (4 young kids with us). Drunken people, loud music and screaming kids carried on until 12:30pm, cars passed most of the night despite all of this being against site rules. Car battery ran down and when I rang reception I had someone come out and help within 5 minutes which is the reason for the 3 star service rating. The toilet blocks, even at camping standards as they are a struggle to keep clean, are stinking and awful. Signs say ‘male and female cleaners’ - what cleaners!!!!

We stayed in one of the caravans, 4 adults and 4 little ones, we had a great time. The grounds have lots of lakes and some nice woodland to walk around, there is lots of shows at the main venue every day all of which were entertaining and fun for the kids, great fun fair for kids, nice little crazy golf course, a swimming pool with a good kids area, decent soft play area and several small playgrounds. The venue is nice for the adults to go to for a drink in the evenings too with lots of lakeside tables, pool tables, arcade games etc. There are several places to eat out within walking distance too for different price ranges. Our caravan was perfectly good too. Overall it was a great trip, brilliant value for money and the kids had the time if their lives. I'd highly recommend for a well priced long weekend away with little ones.

Not completely sure what to make of it. Nothing was open when we visited. Based on our experience walking around the place, didn't seem like anything special. You walk along side cars driving around as there is no footpath so not great with a toddler who likes to run around. Thought we would explore the lovely landscape in the pictures, but I get a feeling it looks better from the aerial views posted than on foot. Might change my re view once I've visited again.

Great place to have fun in the amusements. The only thing I would say is there needs to be a bit of money pumping into it. We went on the busy bank holiday weekend and were not made aware of any entertainment running. We only found out by walking into the bar and there being a bingo session on, which we would have attended if we had known about it previously. The golf wasn't advertised and neither was the escape room. We only saw them when leaving the site. Everything seems a little run down. Pool wasn't big enough either as no spaces available to swim. Every time we went to wash up there was only cold water. No fires allowed to be lit (but you are allowed a BBQ) Other than that, everything was good. Decent showers blocks/ toilets. There was a lot to do just only noticed when leaving and seeing the odd sign post. We will have to go back and try and do some activities next time

Not very impressed. Campsite run down full of hooligans noisy at night until well past midnight on Friday. Washroom and toilets filthy and in need of full revamp. Swimming pool slide a joke needs updating. The women sorting camp area out for people coming in very bossy and difficult cramming caravans and tents in close to each other while other areas plenty of space she hasn’t got a clue what she’s doing. Been motorhoming for 12 years worst campsite I’ve been to.

We went for the day as I hadn't been here in over 30 odd years; sadly, it's not what it used to be. All the stalls have gone, the big slide is gone, 4x4's gone swan beats gone. They do have a nice little fair, but beware! They say that ride tokens are 50p each; however, each ride costs between 3-4 tokens per ride, per person. With 3 kids, this got pretty costly pretty quickly. On a brighter note, the majority of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The main venue is where you can eat and drink. Food is ok. There's also a pool table and pool with a waterside. The little train ride round the lake was nice and takes you to the crazy golf area. Sadly, this is where you start to see the run-down parts of the park, which, for me, was a little upsetting due to the memories of what it once was. The marina also offers some pretty views. Parking is £5.00 for the day, which isn't too bad. The kids had a great time, though, and if you took a picnic, that would obviously reduces the strain on the old wallet.

My partner and I always enjoy coming here for our camping trips. The location is beautiful and we are always accompanied by the resident wildlife which is an added bonus. The facilities are great and we cannot fault them. The reason we have only given it 4 stars is because during our last trip we were accosted by an egregious little man. He is the 'fishing bailiff'. Basically early in the morning he forced himself between our fishing umbrella and tent and he was saying that we were too close to the bank, (without any pleasantries). We were, in fact, in perfect range of the required distance; because we measured it. He started picking up rubbish and accused us of leaving it though we were still staying there and not littering; we had bags of rubbish we put in the bins provided near the entrance. In fact, when we arrived a few days prior, we picked up a few carrier bags full of other peoples' rubbish that was strewn everywhere and caught in the surrounding bushes and trees; a huge detriment to the wildlife had we not picked it up. We have a litter-picker and this was clearly visible. This aggressive person instantly accused us and vilified us for nothing. There was some food that we had not eaten that we dotted around for the wildlife to enjoy, not much at all, and he took a dislike to that, too. We said that it is better than simply discarding it in landfill, to which he said nothing. Silence speaks volumes. He was cutting down branches (which woke me up) and kept going off in his car (about several times) then returning to harangue us even further. He also tried to accuse my partner of fishing without a licence. We are not sure if he bothered any of the other happy campers. We found him extremely unprofessional and he does not in any way reflect this wonderful location and all the good people that live, stay and work here. He does not represent the place very well at all. I was surprised that he didn't try to get in our tent with us! This is the only negative thing to comment on about Billing; we really love it here and will return in due course, it is just a shame that one person can attempt to mar the experience. He tried but failed.

A great place for camping, caravans and some entertainment. Great walks around the lakes on site with plenty of wildlife to sit and watch. The on-site pub/club sells average food with a reasonable price attached. A great choice of wine and beer with loads of seating both in and outside. The fair is great for younger kids. An overall great holiday or day out.

Good swimming pool.I now use 3 times per week.Choose times wisely as can be very busy with children.Lockers hit or miss, several not working due to being jammed with 50p's...Definitely need emptying.Lovely, smiley lifeguard JEAN.Very friendly and engages with everyone,a major asset for sure.(Young lifeguards need to learn a few Customer Service skills from her......a smile would be a good start from them)

Awful place to live and to stay at... nothing to do... hardly anywhere for kids to play, have to book to swim in over crowded pool... drinks are expensive... and the smell from the treatment works 🤮 Don't waste your money!

Booked last minute as we could not get in our usual place. We were concerned about going as we had read the bad reviews but decided to go. We and our freinds ( 3 couples who took their grandchildren with them in motorhomes) very impressed immaculate clean excellent service one of our concerns was that we had read that the touring pitches were poor as everyone could pitch up wherever they wanted however they have new owners and they were very strict on where you pitched up . Yes there were young families and as you would expect with a commercial park there was noise but security ensured noise levels were maintained.wecwere impressed evething you need for a family break .Credit to the new owners as they were away of the previous bad reviews and are taking action to build up positive reviews. Will definitely go back

Very standard pool, very shallow and the slide was shut all day. Lifeguards were professional and pleasant. Had no change on us at all and needed 50p cash for lockers, no cashback was allowed so had to leave all family belongs at side of pool.

I visited the pool on Sunday 24th April and I can honestly say I was impressed. Facilities were good including the slide which was open and the lifeguards were great. One lifeguard particularly stood out (young girl with brown hair) who rescued a little boy who had slipped off the side of the baby pool and had gone under, unable to swim. She responding well and saved him quickly. I was very impressed with what I saw and can say I feel very safe when attending the pool knowing that there are brilliant lifeguards looking out for us. Well done and thank you for your hard work !!
