    This surgery was once a well run and valuable community facility. The staff were polite, efficient and helpful. There’s been a change in reception personnel and the entire surgery has gone downhill since. It appears that they have recruited staff to cater for non-English speaking patients and the new staff seriously lack professionalism, tact and courtesy. It’s now nearly impossible to get an appointment. It’s a shame because the doctors are generally very good. Thank goodness that they haven’t changed the excellent Secretary. As a patient, if you want a decent service, you have to either rely on registering for booking appointments online or go to the local walk-in centre. UPDATE 21.08.2020: The staff here don't even turn off the 'surgery is closed' recorded message for ten minutes (0840) after opening time (0830). The Doctors are useless. They are unprofessional and don't even leave a message when they call you but just hang up the phone. How is a patient who is waiting all day for a call from the doctor expected to know if they have missed the call if no message is left. Do yourself a favour and register yourself elsewhere.

    I'm shocked about the 1 star ratings o.m.g. It's a very sad world, when you can rate, what I see, is one of the best medical practices in Luton. I have only ever felt disappointed once. But that's not how I want to experience it. The receptionists and general practitioners work bloody hard. I call and WAIT in the queue until its my turn. If I cant get an appointment then for either face to face or call-back, I ask for an appointment a few weeks away. I've never been let down. All appointments run over, that's just a given hahahaha! BE PATIENT AND BE KIND. Who else will help you if you slate the very people who provide care. I'd love to see you get all this for free in another country. SO BE BLOODY GRATEFUL.

    Pathetic services and staff. The call time starts at 8.30am for booking an appointment. There is no way that your call is being answered before 9.00am even before 10.30am. After 10.30am receptionists tell that surgery ran out of the appointments and ring next day. I can't understand that within one hours how many appointments are booked? It seems that they only give few emergencies appointments to 5 or 10 patients every day. Why they are not allowing the patients to book advance telephonic appointments? People who are at work can't keep their phone all the time with them to wait for the doctor call. Inconsiderate and inhuman administration. They have been mentally torturing the patients!!!

    Worse ever surgery for health care. Telephone appointment system is purely dodgy and none-sense. After 1 hour of hold call cuts off. Management should register as many patients as they can handle counter staff is totally liar and no professional. Now their brilliance of service has come to a point after someone struggles for two hours to book appointment , When they pick call and advise to go walk in centre or nearby pharmacy. If we have to go to walk in in pharmacy why tue hell are u getting salaries for ??????????????????????????????????? Shame on such service. Better close it down

    I have been a member of this surgery for the best part of a decade. Unfortunately the standards have dropped over time. There are long wait times to see GP and nurse, time with them is limited, never seen at the time of appointment. I hope the surgery improves in the future though presently not happy with the service.

    Absolutely the worse patient care in the whole of Luton. The drs are rude and don't listen to what there asked to do. The reception staff are rude and full of attitude espically Sarah. I asked for a home visit for my bed bound mother . Checked she was on the list for a visit and took the day of from work suprise surprise they never came out . Wat a bloody joke. My mother's supposed to be closely monitored by them . Wat a joke. There be in with a complaint to the gmc for there basic lack of duty of care to my mother.

    Currently on hold on two lines trying to get through having missed a call from a doctor. I have been caller 3, 2 1 with wait times of 2, 1, 5 and then 8 minutes in that order but am now caller number 4. The other line I am simultaneously calling on and have waited for 15 minutes 55 secs just cut off. Apparently now I am back to being caller number 1 and first in line again on the original line, call time currently 20 minutes 14 seconds. Update, now on hold 30 minute. Great doctors but hopeless practice

    The worst treatment my mum has experienced in her whole life from the doctor and nurse after her triple bypass surgery because of their negligences her wound ended up with an infection and had to end up taking her to the walk in centre where she was given antibiotics and the appropriate dressing was done and then we returned to get the dressing changed and requested to have the appropriate dressing applied but the nurse became very rude and said she will do whatever she wants had to bring my mum home and requested the community nurse to come out to do her dressing which was done and they said they will come every other day to do this. Well now the nurse from Bute house Medical Centre told the community nurse that they should not go to my mum as she doesn’t qualify for their services because she is able to go to the surgery. Since her infection has gone worse she is not able to walk to the bathroom as she gets breathlessness and has become really weak. I want to know how can I email the complaint.

    I've been with this surgery since I was a teenager due to my doctor retiring at a near by surgery.Despite all the negative reviews regarding either the receptionists and or the doctors- in my opinion, the doctors listen well, are compassionate and wholeheartedly treat me according to my ailment- very well. However, I'm also a good patient, I research my issue, write down when it began, how long it's lasted, the pains associated and when it's at its aggravated point. Therefore, when I get to my appointment I'm ready to answers the docs questions. Via the docs I've been referred to consultants and or specialists. Yes there will be waiting times- buts that not only subject to this surgery, this is a national phenomenon. The receptionists, in general I haven't had much issues with, I normally give a brief of why I'd like to see the docs, name and date of birth.

    Once again had a great experience with DR Elengo yesterday when he went out of way to get my daughter checked in semi emergency situation & Ms Kaulathu Mohamed & Ms Mihaela Raducanu have been always wonderful . Well done for their hard work and dedication towards patient care . I have to say that whenever I need to be looked after ,Bute surgery do take care of me & my family. An advisor note , just to train the receptionist’s bit more to help and assist more would be ideal. Well Done 👏

    This is Gp day by day, going worse and worse. First we will never get face-to-face doctor appointment and is very complicated. I was training to get a apartment I call Monday Tuesday Wednesday I couldn’t get any appointment! Doctors will call you but how can explain all problems by call ? Please don’t Registered to this gp All time worst gp in luton!

    I've been registered with this GP for 2.5 years. Each time I address this GP I obtain a good quality service and the doctors are always friendly and very committed to understand the issue and to recommend the best possible solution. The receptionists are always friendly, though sometimes it takes a while to wait on a cell phone queue to speak to them. Generally, very good GP. Many thanks!

    We are doomed in this day and age, call at 8.29 am, clinic not open, hang up and call back straight away. After holding for 35mins to speak to someone. She said all the appoinments are gone. But I can have appoinment at another surgery to speak to another doctor, a stranger. These days you are just fortunate enough to speak to any doctor, nevermind your family doctor. The doctor that knows you history, one that is familiar to you. Doctors are so robotic in their services. There is no compassion no empathy. Its all about the budgets, financies. Even the differwnt treatments are economised and allocated to individuals preferentially. Sad sad world we live in our taxes and contributions to society are invisible. God help us 🙏🏽

    Best GP service , ever received in my life . All staff treat with respect and dignity . Special thanks for Dr Elango Sathiyamoorthy, very very professional and patient oriented . Always have a follow up and he personally take time out for patient . Never ignore the patient , listen with respect always & arrange NHS services in best possibility . I wish all surgery have Dr Elango in it , so patient regain the trust with in the publice services. Thanks again BUTE HOUSE MEDICAL CENTRE.

    Doctors are brilliant here take there time and listen. I mostly go to Dr Elango who is outstanding he always listens to your concerns and takes his time and cares! The senior nurse Mihaela does my regular asthma check ups and has done both my boys vaccinations she is so good really interacted with my boys and made it a painless experience. I am so grateful to be registered here, I was very sick for a few years and was losing a lot of weight (was registered at a diff surgery) they would just fob me off no tests or anything and told me everything is fine I dropped to 7 stones. I registered at Bute house medical centre and I was sent for tests straight away and thorough follow ups and in the end got diagnosed with coeliac disease this was done within a month. I will always be so grateful as my condition would’ve just deteriorated even more if I hadn’t moved Doctor surgery.

    Have been with this surgery for 15yrs. Hardly ever need an apt. However you can't get an appointment using the online booking. Can't get an emergency appointment even when you phone up as soon as it opens. Get sent to the walk in centre to wait for hours to be seen and pay £s in parking.

    Called today for an appointment requested a call back when the receptionist called back with very rude attitude to say we are fully booked why on earth call me then this has happened on so many occasions my daughter fell ill I went in and had to argue to get an appointment this doctors partice is the worst of the worst I wish I could give minus one hundred disgusting

    On Google it says it opens at 8 but it opens at 8:30. they had me leaving my house at 7:30 and standing in the cold for a good 45 mins. And then there is a que of people.. NHS needs to fix this. Why do we pay taxes?

    I can t give zero so I hv to give 1! Unbelievable people at the reception are very rude! Trying to book a phone appointment for my scan results and nothing avalaible meanwhile the doctor from the hospital made it clear that she found something that needs to be dealt with! Doctor Kutri Gajjar supposed to call me ,I ve waited even though I'm working night shift yet he cancelled without even to bother to let me know! Than he called and I'm supposed to stay up the whole day bcs they couldn't give me a time frame! What a joke! And they call themselves doctors who supposed to take care of us! Hopefully it won t be to late by the time they will have the time to look after a sick person! It is sad that the surgery doest do anything about this situation!

    Absolutely awful. Been waiting for a call for 40 minutes and they finally answer to tell me that me and my son are no longer a member of the gp. But I still receive letters like I’m a member. A joke place would give it 0 if I could.

    Place should be SHUT DOWN !! It’s an absolute joke !! Whoever’s getting paid for that job /or running the place is killing people without a care in the world finding myself a better surgery after 48 years advise everyone to do the same
