Clean and pleasant room, staff very friendly and helpful. Food was fabulous, I had the best, and largest, prawn cocktail I have ever eaten. There is even a small 'village store' on site for any little extras, or forgotten essentials. Highly recommend and we will definitely stay again.

Superb country pub, full of nooks and crannies. Lovely servers and good choice of dishes. I had ham, egg and chips, which was gorgeous. We chose to sit in the bar, which was comfy and friendly, but there is also a restaurant.

Really friendly staff and quick service. Food is tasty, decent portion size and good value. Locals in the bar are friendly and beer is good. Breakfast has a cold and cooked selection and can be pre ordered for a time in the morning which is really helpful if you need to be up and out. Rooms are a decent size, some more rustic above the pub than over in the separate building but all to a decent enough standard. Definitely be staying again when I'm in the area.

Unfortunately on arrival we received a cool reception almost like we were an inconvenience. A local had to ring the bell for us located on the bar and still it took a while before anyone came to greet us. Thankfully the person who served us at the table was friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. We all had a pie, mash and veg can recommend this.

Lovely friendly pub, excellent food , spacious rooms, very well equipped, plenty of fresh towels, parking outside room, local well stocked shop, all same courtyard. Pub not rowdy at all at any time. Quiet area.

Had a lovely meal here with friends. On arrival we were told their would be a wait for food as they were quite busy, and we hadn't pre-booked a table. We were seated right away in the garden room, which was quieter than the bar area, but suited us perfectly. Had drinks and a couple of sharing appetisers while we waited. Then the meals arrived so it didn't seem a wait at all. Main courses were delicious and very well cooked and proportioned. Good choice of desserts. All the staff were very friendly and l would definitely recommend visiting for a meal or drinks. So glad we decided to call in here. Thank you.

Lovely pub in gorgeous location just south of Emberton. Really nice welcoming staff and very nice facilities including the garden. Was a very hot day but all tables had parasols to protect from sun. Food was delicious. And fair value. Surprised it wasn't busier. Will be back.

We managed to get a table for Sunday lunch at late notice through the Open Table app after having rung and been told there were no tables available. Not sure how but it was a happy outcome as we had a very pleasant meal in lovely surroundings. The food was reasonably priced. It seems to be a 'happy' village pub welcoming walkers with dogs. Only problem was providing a decent capuchino, 3 attempts and all awful. There was no charge for it though which was the right outcome. We'll be going back to try new dishes in future!

Stayed not far from the pub my mum is originally from Sherington and recommended so we went for dinner very friendly welcome the only downside was we waited for a while with no instruction as to order at bar or table the locals were really friendly but our server did not really engage in conversation when I tried and didn't really look Happy in her job

Didn't stay there but we met up with friends. Needed a place that was dog friendly and could cope with a party of 8. They did a brilliant job, friendly prompt service, great choice of beers and great food. What more could you ask. Thank you to all and keep it up.

A great location in a quiet village, Sunday lunch was excellent and staff friendly we had a little to long to wait after ordering.

Stayed here on the 21st June and it was an excellent experience. Great accommodation, super food and a team that obviously care a great deal…. Car charging facilities to top it all off! Highly recommended.

We stayed for business earlier this month, the pub were very helpful with our changing requirements during the booking process, took great care that we all get fed and watered at times that suited our busy schedule and made us very comfortable - great spacious rooms and good wi-fi. Having the Village stores next door for coffee, treats and some of the essentials needed when away from home was a bonus. Lots of choice on the pub menu and always a smile at the bar/during service. We'd definitely recommend!
