The “ginger muppet” at the games counter was an absolute legend and made myself and my partner feel so welcome! He treated us like old friends and really made our experience worthwhile. Would 110% recommend him for any promotion you can! He was a barrel of laughs!

Yesterday at 11 a.m. i bought a PlayStation game for my son. I went home and took it off the plastic wrapper placed it in the console to surprise my son who then told me 'I already have that one". I then go to Smyths Toysone hour later to have it changed for another one. The manager says it cannot be done in a very rude and inflexible manner. Take it from me. Buy your stuff from Amazon. Exchanges are not questioned and people are not rude. Make this place collapse like toys r us.

Come here quite a lot for the Pokémon collections they offer, however in a recent visit we did not receive the correct amount of items we paid for. Just putting this as a heads up to other collectors to count how many packs of cards they take out of their drawer as you may not get as many as you actually pay for.

Smyth's toy Superstore on the nene valley retail park has a large selection of toys and games for all ages. located in the corner of the retail park there is a large parking area with some mobilaty parking bays by the Store front. Some of the stock that is on display is located high on the shelf and needs staff member to get a product down using a set of high steps or cherry picker.

We visited on a Saturday morning during the school half term closure. The store felt more crowded than our last visit and it was only 9am. However, it was still easy enough to walk around and navigate inside the store. We spent about an hour or so here to pick a push scooter for our toddler. If you are looking to buy toys for your kids, then this is the store to visit in Northampton.

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Alisha was particularly good and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Great service

Fantastic selection of toys for all ages. Great selection of bikes paw patrol Barbie PS4 games nerf and outdoor activities. Parking is very easy outside with plenty of spaces.

We recently bought a child car seat, and Stacie, the baby expert helped us fix it. she was very helpful and kind.

A great toy store with a large variety of choice and awesome Staff. I would like to say a particular thanks to Eddie, Jay and Anne and members of the team who have helped assist the elves in making my 2 little ones xmas wishes come true. And completing not 1, but 2 full sets of Encanto was worth all the trips and calls and thank you for all the help and assistance. The look of jealousy when one opened a set turned to the look of pure joy when they realised they had one each. You really are superstars and have gone above and beyond so as a parent thank you. The manager with red hair was very rude while I tried to get the refund for my item,he was literally laughing at me and he damaged my box,I would avoid this place if I was you,I also filed for charge back with my bank

Visited smyths toys for a car seat upgrade, spoke to a very knowledgeable lady called Viv who was extremely helpful!! She allowed us to choose a car seat for our son and when he sat in it she was able to strap him in safely and give us the guidance on doing this too! Viv checked the car seat would be suitable for all the cars which we wish to use it in. There wasn't a moment where we felt pushed into a sale but you could feel the safety of the child was paramount!! For any parents out there I highly recommend a visit to smyths to check your car seat standards as I thought my son was safe in a 3 point harness until the age of 4, this is not actually true. Please go and see viv for advice. Thank you for a pleasurable experience!!

Had a car seat for less than a year and having problems with its safety. Went to store and spoke to Stacie and I was so happy with her knowledge and the service. There is nothing more scary than having a car seat not fit for purpose so I am now reassured with the replacement. Thank you so much.

Staff are always amazing will go out of way to help and are friendly .. the only issue with Smyths is we still compare to toys are us of old and the diff is tactile ... So Smyths are huge walls of things all neat no touchy touchy .. kids are touchy touchy and TRU used to have a balance between not loosing (well maybe not given they went bust lol) to having most things with display models while keeping a big stock supply .. I rem taking them into tru to get bikes toys dolls computers .. and we had lots of hands on places to try before you buy .. the outdoor toys were built to see not just a catalog and we spent 1000s on impulse purchases over the years because we could touchy touchy and kids nagged !!! We had so many swing sets !! But obv we have no alternative big toy stores now so we use Smyths and it's fine we go in get what we want and leave .. we save money as no impulse as no one demonstrating toys or things to try so from a parents point of view great but from a kids it's a tad naff

Visited Smyths Northampton for a car seat for my young daughter. The lady who helped us pick the car seat was very knowledgable and friendly and we felt confident picking a car seat from Smyths. Unfortunately we had an issue/fault with the car seat, which caused some problems. I spoke with Eddi, Manager of the store and I have to say that although our experience with the car seat was not good, the experience with the staff and how they dealt with us afterwards could not be faulted. Eddi was kind and polite to us. He could see our concerns and sorted out the problem. We returned the faulty car seat and picked a new one and whilst we were debating which one to go for, a further member of staff walked past, saw us and stopped to help us - without us asking. Again he was extremely knowledgable on the car seats and so helpful. We chose a different brand and that has worked out better for us. They made the whole thing so easy and were just brilliant. Amazing customer service.

Very bad customer service at Northampton store Sean was really rude to us please avoid this company the cot we bought was not safe for child due to strong smell of paint.

Employees do not want to help the customer solve the problem..I wanted to return an item and they found a hundred reasons just not to receive it...The company is big but they don't know how to work with the customer..I am very disappointed in them..👎👎👎

The female manager has no regards for customer she rammed the step ladder at me shouting excuse me once she had almost knocked me over while I was picking which item off a shelf when there was no one stood behind me, begrundley I moved back. I then stepped forward and was about to grab the item I had chose and there she is again with another step ladder ramming it at me. I then came back to the Isle because why does someone need two ladders...... Well she didn't she was straightening some of the toys trying to act busy. Got a feeling someone doesn't like or want customers won't bother again will use amazon so I won't get the risk of being run down by rude managers.
