Didn’t like the new small girl working there, very bossy and a little attitude when getting some of our fish and stuff. Like slamming it down and when putting things in bags “give me that” no please no thank yous. Very rude and just saying some very obvious stuff, like no freezer stuff with the fish and going on and on about it. No idea with customer service Got a lot of patronising questions too, I know my fish and a lot was met with hostile questioning of my knowledge. Not just advice, happily take advice. And maybe not question your customers and make them uncomfortable about how big a fish gets and making them measure it out with finger measuring. With no choice! plus a lot of fish people understand that once a fish gets to a particular size they will upgrade tanks. Just common sense really, and just upset with the whole thing. Makes me not want to be served by her again

Bought a aqua one 145 fishtank and unit at £479, and had to collect and assemble myself. The unit was of very poor quality, however, once erected looked ok. Filled it with water and left it for a week. Then on Sunday afternoon we heard a bang and water was gushing from a large crack in the back of the tank. Obviously with water going everywhere the carpet is ruined (6 months old carpet) I received a refund for the tank but they would not cover my cost for the carpet, told me to phone manufacturer, which i did and they advised me that my contract is with the store. Apparently, there is no warranty on the glass tank🤔 So, i spoke with the owner of the store who proceeded to call me a liar on two occasions. 🤬 At this moment in time i am £700 out of pocket for something which is not my fault, and no, a kid didn't hit the tank with a hammer as the garden centre owner suggested, and i didn't want a new carpet because mine was old. Also, be aware because this isn't covered on your contents insurance unless you have extended cover.🤔🤬 So thanks for absolutely nothing maidenhead aquatics, and for putting me off keeping fish forever. Will definitely not be using this store or the actual garden centre again and will advise people the same. I will be seeking legal advice.

Awesome place for an afternoon out if you're into garden centres and aquarium/pond equipment. So much on offer, it's hard not spend money here. The staff are super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, lad that helped me with my cherry shrimp and snails is an asset to the place, will definitely be back for more advice from him.

Very busy, but plenty of stock in for fresh water fish no marine fish here but I wasn't looking for that just air pipe that they didn't have in stock at the time.

Absolutely wonderful place. Lady who dealt with me was highly knowledgeable about what fish can be kept with a rainbow shark that was within my requests of wierd looking, flamboyant and not very popular. Prices were quite good considering what our country is going through and the lady didn't push any unrequited sales on me as many other stores do. Fish and amphibians looked healthy and well kept. I will visit again.

We went to the Burton Latimer Garden Centre to look for inspiration for our back garden and walked away with fake ivy trellis with lights powered by solar as well as black cherry tomato plants and a cute duck solar powered water feature.

Great place, tanks all very clean and well kept. A very large amount of stock to choose from

One of the best, if not the best selection of fish at any Maidenhead Aquatics that I have visited. The selection is vast with well stocked, clean tanks. They are quite expensive (actually quite a lot more expensive!) when comparing them with other aquatics shops and MAs. A pair of convicts for £30 when some shops are pretty much giving them away is a prime example. However, that is entirely up to them. Overall, worth a visit and 5 stars for the level of stock and choice they have.

I have been coming to Maidenhead aquatics for years and have always found their tanks and fish to be very clean and well kept. Fish always look healthy and I have never seen any dead fish left in tanks. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Much larger place now with a good selection of aquarium rock, wood etc. Fish selection good and healthy. Only 4 stars because we had difficulty using our gift cards. Apparently head office had changed the method of dealing with the cards and not told the staff.
