Had an audience with Safraz Mansoor in the Hat Factory Arts Centre. An inspirational insight in to Safraz's teenage life and his journey with the film Blinded by the Light.

The Hat Factory Arts Centre is easy to find very close to parking facilities, in walking distance of Luton Train Station and the Mall Shopping Centre. A great, modern building with wheel chair accessible entrance and lovely urban decor. The staff are very friendly and helpful, there is a coffee shop with a large selection of teas and coffees. A bar with alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, snacks and fast food facilities and great seating area with tables, comfortable chairs, public toilets (including wheel chair accessible toilet) and WiFi. The auditorium on the first floor had a large cinema screen, comfortable elevated seating and as it's not huge therefore has a very cosy feeling. There were office/break out room facilities and an open area on the first floor together with more mixed toilet facilities. As well as a staircase there was a lift. There are lots of leaflets letting you know upcoming events etc. including family friendly events or information for young children and we really enjoyed watching one of the latest award winning movies free of charge. Definitely worth a visit!!

Went to see band here called Blue Rinse, who were excellent. The bar gets very busy. Payments are card only here. Overall, a good venue.

My children and I attended the Hat Factory on Saturday to attend a book club session. Unfortunately, the book club people didn't turn up so no session went ahead. However, the gentleman who was manning the desk and cafe offered to read a story to those of us who had turned up. Once he had set the atmosphere in the cafe for story telling one of the parents read a story to his daughter and invited my children to listen. Then the cafe man brought over popcorn for us on the house. We ended up having a lovely time just hanging out in the cafe. I want to say a heart felt thank you to the Hat Factory employee who went above and beyond expectations and turned our disappointment into an enjoyable experience and saved us from a wasted trip.

The Hat Factory is a brilliant venue that showcases all manner of different events for all ages and interests. I visited because they had an Acid Jazz Exhibition which brought back fond memories of my 20's.

Always clean and the staff are so helpful. I love the spaces and from what I have heard you can hire sections or the whole thing. The cafe downstairs is really cozy
