Sally is a great host and really looked after us. The pod was extremely well designed and exceptionally fitted out. The furniture and bed were very comfortable as was the bath which was in front of a full window overlooking the vineyard. We found the location great for walking and bike riding as there is little through traffic. As such it was quiet and peaceful with the prevailing sound being bird calls and frog song. Very private, this is an ideal romantic getaway.

We stayed at Sambar Hills last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Beautifully presented accommodation, that was warm and toasty, thanks to the wood fire, while the weather swirled around us. Terrific views, even from the shower! If you're thinking about ordering the breakfast or antipasto hamper, there's plenty to eat. You won't go hungry. There are also cooking facilities, including a BBQ, which we were able to utilise with our friends, who stayed in the neighbouring cabin. This is a great place to base yourself and explore what the area has to offer.

Sambar Hills is the perfect retreat in the King Valley region. We spent three nights there in December 2021 and we were treated to a magnificent view of the lush vineyard. The units are well appointed with little touches of luxury. The BBQ provided is sufficient as it is convenient to whip up a quick steak and vege dinner. Be sure to explore the King River across the road and other great attractions in the region. Highly recommended!

Thank you to the Sambar Hills staff for providing us with absolutely beautiful accommodation to make our stay so enjoyable. Our Suite was just out of this world. It really was for us an indulgence. Also, I would like to thank the staff with a few requests I had and the staff were happy to assist me. Nothing was too much trouble. We hope some day to get back. Oh and we loved your Sambar Hills Prosecco. Beautiful!

What a great find is Sambar Hills. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights mid week in August. Sensational location with beautiful views from the shower and bed. All of the mod cons provided for a chilled stay including a complimentary bottle of their prosecco. The winery is about a 20 min drive out of Whitfield so consider taking supplies if you want to stay put and soak up the solitude and views. Our pre ordered breakfast hamper was jammed with fresh produce. Must see is Hovell Dam and Power Lookout (dirt roads). Dinner at the Whitfield pub plus a German beer and the worlds best pizza at King River Brewing should not be missed.

I Absolutely loved Sambar Hills. Had a quick weekend get away with my partner and we loved it. The accommodation is amazing, modern and very cosy. The farm is beautiful and has amazing views of the mountains. The host Sally is very punctual when communicating with you and very helpful. I highly recommend Sambar Hills.

Everything was perfect! Appreciated Sally's communication the day before when the road in was looking like it might be flooded. Fortunately everything turned out fine and we came in to find the place nice and toasty, with a bottle of the vineyard's Prosecco to enjoy. The bath, the fireplace and the views from bed all made for a very relaxing weekend. Well located between several great wineries (Pizzini, Dal Zotto and Politini, to name a few ) and a nearby lake worth visiting for a stroll. We will look forward to staying again in future!

What a perfect location for a romantic getaway. The cabin was modern and very clean with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. We sat on the deck listening to the native wildlife whilst taking in the fresh air, sipping on some lovely Prosecco 🥂. Amazing views overlooking the forest and vineyards 🌳🍇. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary here last week, as a wedding gift from our family. It was truly a unique experience that will be hard to beat! Not only is the cabin beautifully appointed, but it is also luxurious without compromising on comfort. Warm and cosy when it needed to be, it wasn't hard to make ourselves at home. There was nothing better than having our morning coffee in bed watching the wildlife from our window and being serenaded by the local birdlife. The cabin was stocked with the essentials, and we also brought some food from home to cook on the BBQ, which was clean and convenient. We fell in love with the resident horses and ponies, who seemed to enjoy our company also. All three cabins were occupied while we were there, however we still felt we had lots of privacy and didn't feel on top of anyone else due to the distance between the cabins. The local area was great to explore, with William Hovel Dam a stones throw away for peace, quiet and good fishing, and the Mountain View Hotel located in Whitfield a great spot for a drink and a delicious meal. We have been raving about Sambar Hills to anyone who will listen, and will return in the future. Thanks Sally and team!

Highly recommend Sambar Hills in the Kind Valley as a great place to unwind and relax. We stayed 4 nights in Dec for my partners birthday. The cabins are very luxe, clean and modern with everything you need. The views (from the shower and bath!) and setting are beautiful and its so quiet and peaceful. Great hosts who can provide whatever you need, and make check in and out so easy. Perfectly located to explore the King Valley and beyond.

What an absolutely amazing place to stay, everything was set out nicely, perfect view and, a very quiet area. Their bubbles are wonderful! We had the most relaxed time, very welcoming and stocked us up with enough firewood for the pit outside

What a delight to discover this exquisitely designed retreat in the King Valley ! Sambar Hills is "uber luxe" and perfectly positioned to explore the Prosecco Road wineries and surrounding areas. We relaxed on the deck with sunset drinks each evening , taking in the native wildlife and peaceful ambiance and even luxuriated in the deep bath surrounded by those spectacular views... BLISS ! Sally and Jamie were so kind and accommodating , generously gifting us with some beautiful wine to celebrate our 27th Wedding Anniversary and even setting up our fire pit to enjoy the starry night . Our stay was perfect - we will spread the word and we will be back !
