I wish I could give lesser than 0. Dr. Trang Nguyen, my little one is just 1 year old. She had extreme temperature for 2 days. I booked an appointment and it was my little one's bad time that this doctor checked her. Her eyes were swollen, cheeks red and swollen and she was so sick by the time she saw her. Doctors exact words were ''she seems fine to me there's no problem with her. You can just keep giving her same old medicine. Later in the midnight her fever got so high that we were actually scared. Then we opted for 24:7 doctor video calling service to which doctor clearly mentioned she's fighting extreme infection and has to be dealt with immediately. Trust me it went down immediately after giving her proper medicine. This doctor didn't care much about kids and she seemed meaningless. Very bad very ruthless and very unworthy.

I am a new patient in this practice and probably will be the last visit, atleast for this GP called GOLAM Mostafa. I am a public hospital nurse and had covid and took care of my partner who had covid as well who was quiet unwell last week. I took time off/sick leave 3 days this week to get some rest before going back to work. My usual GP is booked out until next week so i booked for this clinic. This GP is very rude and told me to go back to my own GP to help me next time. He seems disinterested. I told him i work in healthcare and have been burnt out and since Covid started, this is the only time I actually have been on personal leave/sick leave for 3 consecutive days. He seems like one of those Doctors who is very up on their pedestal and his high horse. Making it seem like i was wasting his time when he is very well paid by medicare for less than a 5 min jjob. I was holding my tongue as i did not want to stoop down to his level. Being a GP is a support to the community, mostly well individuals for prevention of disease, preserve health and maintenance in addition to early diagnosis of disease and appropriate treatment and referral. I guess i should have invited him to come and work and join us working in a public hospital since he feels his time is only worthy for the VERY sick. I think he needs to remember the responsibility and ROLE of being a GP. The reception staff on the other hand is superb, very friendly which deserves the star as above. (0 stars for the ‘GP’) I can’t speak for the other doctors in this practice but unless you are desperate, avoid the above mentioned.

AVOID THIS CLINIC!!! I would give ZERO if it was an option! Dr GOLAM MOSTAFA is the most unprofessional, rude, uninterested and uncaring GP I have ever experienced! His diagnosis on a patients problem is based on google searching their symptoms... How and where did he get his medical degree?! Absolutely appalling behavior towards patients! I can't believe after so many negative reviews about this so called doctor, the clinic hasn't fired him! If anyone in any other profession or job performed this poorly at their workplace and treated people this bad, they would be sacked. Please read other reviews on this so called doctor and this clinic so you can realize this is not a "one off" review. There are so many other clinics to choose from in the western suburbs so avoid this one!!!

Don't waste your time . Rubish place with rubish doctors. All they want use your Medicare to take money from government. 2 times they booked me but they didn't give me report for what happened to me . Police told me go to ur GP to get report because I was victim for 3 ppl attacked me. If they don't give report which they are my local medical than who will give that . It's really big shame for this government give this doctors Visa and they not helping community at all. All they want is money. They are really Shameful

Booked in as new patient after a referral renewal. Was seen by Golam Mostafa who didn't even ask for my history once I told I was after a referral and told me to go back to my last GP even when I offered to obtain my history, proceeding to tell me he can't take on new patients, despite booking as a new patient. Offered minimal help

Wasted my time coming to this practice, reception were friendly and nice however Dr Golam Mostafa was extremely rude and not interested in helping me getting a referral. Told me to go to my last GP which I cannot due to moving to Victoria from QLD. Will not be coming back! Should of read the previous reviews about him.

Dr Tin is my regular GP. He is extremely caring but also efficient- I never have to wait long for him, he listens to my concerns and takes them seriously. The receptionists are also lovely and the practice nurse ( sadly can’t remember his name ) Is also brilliant - between Dr Tin and the Nurse I know I’m in great hands. HOWEVER Dr Tin wasn’t available today ( completely respect that ) however I tested positive for covid 19 yesterday and am high risk due to my medical history of asthma and auto immune disease. I booked an appointment with Dr Trang and was absolutely shocked by how I was treated. She told me 1. I should’ve waited to see Dr Tin , 2. Accused me of lying that I’ve got covid , 3, accused me of lying that I’m eligible and said she’s putting herself at great risk for prescribing it to me. I’m extremely offended by Dr Trangs actions and would appreciate for the practice manager to investigate this and address Dr Trangs behaviour with her

Horrible experience! Super unprofessional. Booked a telehealth session with Dr.Golam through Healthengine but he didn't call at all. Tried to follow up with the receptionist but the phone line was down too.

Have attended Maidstone Family Clinic as my local GP for the last 3-4 years. Most experiences are typically dismissive or uninterested, but if it’s a simple visit then that’s easy enough to tolerate. Having attended the clinic with a more serious health concern, I will be finding a new GP. I’m happy enough to put up with arrogance and apathy, but not a doctor who 20 seconds into the appointment lands on a “nothing we can do” analysis of a perceived heart concern without so much as asking a single question, let alone bothering to reach for any diagnostic equipment. Want a medical certificate? Maidstone Family Clinic’s a safe bulk billing option. Genuine health concern? Probably head somewhere else.

Don’t bother coming here - an absolute waste of time. Dr Golam Mostafa was dismissive, undermining and far from empathetic. I’ve been going to this clinic for years and when I attended today, it was definitely the last straw. I will not be back.

The majority of the GP's will not give you antibiotics for your infection unless you are on your death bed and making funeral arrangements for yourself. I finally got prescribed them after the 3rd consult. Australia's healthcare system is a joke and you question whether half of these GP's are even qualified....one gp told me I was sick from the weather... Please do better for your patients, please.

How a Medicare card affects the service! I went to the clinic yesterday, my partner talked high of them since she has a private insurance, I don't, but while booking an appointment we asked if bulk billing was accepted and they said yes. Arrived at the clinic, the welcome was not very warm, didn't bother too much, there were a few people, few came later and they were all being looked after before me, the reception guy asked me a few times about my Medicare... I was seen by Dr. Golam, and he is my partner's Gp, so she thought I'll be well looked after, after 40mins wait I was out by 5 mins, my partner was surprised, she asked did he even consulted you. Dr.Golam 1st comment was you are the 1000th person coming to see me with the same symptoms, its nothing serious... I told him I had a 39.4deg fever the day before, he pointed his reader on my forehead, indicated 36.8, and he was like there is nothing! Of course because I took 3 tablets so I could come out to see you!!! Made me cough a few times, the coughs were still really rough, but he then again said, there is no infection either, so I'm perfectly healthy but sick though. He then asked me if I needed a med cert, to be honest that was not my main concern! He finally handed me a prescription, 2 items, one for hay fever and the other one for bloked nose which I already had at home and pharmacist was like "that's not even over the counter" he asked me to do a blood test for hay fever, how unprofessional, gave me hay fever prescription but asked to do a blood test for hay fever... I really wanted to go in details so people understand fully, I shouldn't be ashamed to hold a Medicare card, it's a given!

Discrimination - found out my client was on pharmacotherapy, which he wasn't there for, and kicked him out. No apology, nothing. Disgraceful from a medical service. Actively discriminating against people with no reasoning. Client left distressed and feeling judged. They will be receiving a formal complaint.

I've read most of the 1-star reviews here & I don't disagree. I've had those kinds of experiences here in 2020/2021 with the doctor that is NOT Dr. Aung. The other doctor. I wouldn't go see him under any circumstances. However, this review is for my most recent visit with Dr. Aung. He was kind, didn't keep me waiting longer than 5-10 minutes after my appointment time & was quite good. It was my first visit with him since 2020/21 & I had a referral from my previous clinic to give him regarding my medical history & T2D. He ordered me a blood test & a return visit to discuss my results the following week (close to Xmas Day, pathology clinic will take a few days to get my results to him). Overall a decent consult & I was prepared to have a bad experience, but it never happened. I do feel like their reception staff could be a bit better, but overall, they were fine. I hope they're that way going forward, as I've heard & experienced horror stories with the other doctor. I refuse to see him. He can be prone to anger & quite rude. No thanks!

Dr Golam Mostofa is God sent for kids ! He knows exactly what the issue is the moment he looks at the child. He is a very knowledgeable and an excellent Doctor. We had few previous doctors but since we discovered him, he's the only one be will ever be going to. Thank you Dr Mostofa.

Dr Golam Mostofa provide me an excellent service. I feel mush comfort and physically well after I start visiting him. I had few issues, he took care of them one at a time but make sure I am getting the best treatment, and I am seeing the result myself.

I have been going to Maidstone Family Clinic for 3 years now. The practice itself is clean, tidy and always efficient with bookings. The staff at the desk are always so accomodating and kind ( Even when my toddler isn't happy to be there ). Dr Golam Mostofa goes above and beyond to meet all my medical needs from the minor check ups to referrals and suggestions with surgeons. I have so much gratitude for this practice and am always put at ease knowing Dr Mostofa will assist and help in every way he can always with a follow up call Last but not least Dat ( assistant nurse ) is amazing.

Do not go here for mental health issues. They only have one doctor who will even discuss them with you, and that doctor (Dr Aung) is not safe. He has no idea about mental health. He refused to provide me with a mental health care plan, despite the fact that I had booked for one, saying it involved too much paperwork. He also insisted that there was only one medication to treat anxiety and depression, and when I pointed to others I had been prescribed in the past, he told me I was wrong. He spoke to me like a child until I just left. I called another GP clinic who booked me in an hour later and provided me with an easy service. Stay away from this place!!

Dr Golam Mostafa is very good doctor and kind at heart. He gives maximum time to hear patient views. His clinical diagnosis is very sharp. He himself calls the patients and follow up their condition and test result which is a rare quality we see in doctors nowadays. I highly recommended Dr Golam Mostafa to anyone looking for good doctor. Thank you

I recently visited at “Maidstone Family Clinic” and was throughly impressed by both the staff and the Doctors. I took my mother with several medical conditions to see Dr. Golam Mustafa. He is incredible. Not only has he taken great care of my mother health but also is very lovely to speak with at every time we visited him.

I have been to this clinic twice now and I understand why this is the only clinic in the area with appointments. The first time was really busy and I waited over an hour to be seen. Today the place is empty and I've been waiting 30 minutes, I ended up leaving because I can't hang around forever. There is no communication from any staff. I do not recommend this clinic unless you want to waste your day and not see a doctor.

This review is in relation to Doctor Thant Syn. I can hand on heart say that Dr Syn is by far the best GP I have ever been to in Australia. Dr Syn did his GP training in the UK, and this is evident from his wonderful bedside manner and caring nature. He is very thorough. You never feel rushed with him, and he always takes his time to explain things like blood test results in detail. He is friendly and I believe he genuinely cares about your health and well-being. He is the only GP I have been to that actually checks my blood pressure and heart rate on every visit, no matter what I’m there for. He is true example of what a family GP should be like. I cannot recommend Dr Syn highly enough and I am so glad that I came across him. Dr Syn thank you for your service to the community. In relation to the practice itself, I have always found the reception staff to be friendly and helpful. There is always room to park on site, and there is a 4Cyte pathology centre directly next door which is helpful.

Dr Golam Mostafa had been so kind to me and always go above and beyond to make sure his patients are cared for I am surprised at all the negative reviewed against his name and while I can’t speak for others, my experience has been nothing but positive, to an extent that I won’t see anyone else but him Thank you Doctor - much appreciation for you

I came in to get a medical certificate as I’ve come down with a cold and needed to take work off to rest to prevent the infection from worsening. I was met with remarks about “enjoying my long weekend” and having “lots of patients like [me] coming in because of the weather”. I doubt I’ll be returning given this is the kind of treatment I should expect.
