Our stay in the cabin was absolutely amazing, we couldn’t think of one thing at all that could have made it any better. The welcome so warm and friendly, the cabin itself has been meticulously thought out to not only make the absolute best use of every beautiful inch of it, but to maximise enjoyment of every moment there. The log burner made it all so warm even when -2 overnight, the perfect height picture window from the bath to view the most beautiful field beyond, the curtains in the kids’ bunks made it so cosy (and dark, for later lie ins than they ever manage at home!), the fire pit, super comfy beds, the outdoor shower equally as invigorating in the sun as a morning where frost lay on the blades of grass around ….literally everything is perfect. Unfortunately one of our kids was ill and missed the farm rounds, but we are all desperate to return as his big brother absolutely adored the pigs and bottle feeding the lambs. What an experience! The amazing communal games barn, the fresh produce in the shop, the absolute generosity of heart to help our little one feel better, we were so grateful and it really sums up the vibe of the place. The wonderful owners are so genuine in wanting to share their glorious field; for suburban kids this is a little slice of heaven and for their parents, even more so. We cannot wait to return.

Stayed in the Tabernacle cabin earlier in the year. Tranquil setting, stunning views down the valley and relatively private from the other campgrounds. Best sausages we have ever eaten. Only small problem was the slight lean of the cabin and thought it could benefit from an induction hob, rather than a ceramic hob, as counter space was at a premium in the cabin and the ceramic hob took a long time to cool.

Such a great place with a warm and friendly welcome, would highly recommend if you like camping but also enjoy your own toilet and shower. Fantastic tents and all facing the kids play area and swings, my 2 loved all the animals and the freedom they got.

This was our second visit to Brownscombe and almost certainly not our last. Glamping at its finest and a beautiful place to while away a week in Devon. Kate is also a fantastic host that is great with the kids. Highly recommended.

We had the most fantastic few days staying in the Tabernacle. Kate is a fantastic host and every little detail has been considered in the design of the living space. The bed is incredibly comfortable and there was everything we needed inside the Tabernacle. We ordered the veggie breakfast, scones and brownies and it was all absolutely delicious! The larder had a great range of essentials to keep you going as well. The eggs (laid on site) are the tastiest eggs to ever pass my lips! We also had a massage in the wellness room which was heavenly! You could easily come to stay here and not leave for a few days. It also makes for a great base to explore the beautiful local area. There is a fantastic farm shop and garden centre less than ten minutes away and the Brownscombe app has everything you need to keep you busy and well fed during your stay. We especially enjoyed the company of our neighbours (the sheep!) and loved waking up to the various bird songs. I cannot fault anything and we will most certainly be back soon! Thank you for a wonderfully special stay!

Brilliant autumn break. Super cosy safari tent kept us comfortable and warm. The host are fantastic and just wonderful with the children. Our 2 loved helping with the animals and exploring on their own. Location excellent for exploring.

Thank you for the best, stress free four days ever! By far the best luxury glamping with stunning views, beautiful private Lodge for dinner, hot tub and lovely owners who have clearly worked so hard in making sure everything is perfect for their guests. We will be booking again ASAP for next year!

We stayed in the cabin for 2 nights for a quick getaway, and what can I say, it was incredible! The views are stunning and to wake up in the morning all cosy and warm from last night's embers in the log burner to that view was just amazing. Then, to have a lovely hot shower outside, again, taking in the incredible views, was so refreshing and a great start to the day. Kate was so helpful and hospitable, we had the breakfast and cooked dinner from her and they were both fantastic. She was very kind and helped us whenever we needed it. I can't rate this place high enough, it was just what we needed to get away from life for a few days!!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Brownscombe. Kate was an incredible host, with the most calming and approachable nature from arrival to departure. We stayed in Bovey, which was full of everything you could possibly think of, every tiny little detail, inside the accommodation and outside has been thoroughly fine tuned to create a calming, blissfully sweet atmosphere. A wood store to collect wood, foraging for extra wood, animals running freely around. A larder shop for any essentials, excellent sense of eco friendly nature, and a perfect get away to escape the modern unfolding drama even with a nice bottle of chilled prosecco on arrival i must add was a perfect and much welcomed touch! The sounds of nature surrounding us completed the entire stay along with looking accross the open fields through the moonlit night, with sky full of stars. Couldnt of asked for anything better. Everyone we came with thoroughly enjoyed their stay, and to be complemented on how well behaved our furry four legged mammoths were, was absolutely heartwarming. Thank you so much for an incredible experience. We hope to book again soon and see you again next year for another perfect stay. 💙💜

We have returned to Brownscombe many times over the years and have always had the most magical times. Whether you stay in a safari tent, the cabin, roundhouse or tabernacle you can be assured of a luxurious and comfortable holiday. Kate is the perfect host and her attention to detail is second to none. If you want to stay in a peaceful place and be at one with nature, whilst enjoying a few little luxuries you won’t find at any other glamping site, then Brownscombe is the place for you. It’s also in a perfect position to explore many beautiful places during your stay. Perfectly appointed with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Wonderfully comfortable beds, lovely linens, magical hidey holes for the children and everything you need for a sublime stay. You can pre-order meals for your arrival, which are delicious. You can even enjoy private dining options in the gorgeous lodge, reminiscent of a cosy ski lodge. Thank you Kate and team for a wonderful stay. More core memories created for our family.
