Was a gorgeous morning with hardly a soul around. Took our time taking pics of flowers. Plenty of car parking on Sunday mornings Not timed parking.

Gorgeous little garden with small flowing creek and rock pools throughout. Rose garden, fountains and statues scattered about and home to ducks who don't appear too phased by people. Nearby toilets. We visited in Autumn.

Veale Gardens is a serene escape nestled in the middle of town. The garden's layout is charming, offering a peaceful retreat from the urban hustle. However, during my visit, it seemed a bit dry, which affected the overall ambiance. The potential for a lush oasis is evident, and I can imagine it being even more enchanting with a bit more attention to watering and maintenance. Nonetheless, it's a lovely spot for a quiet stroll or a moment of reflection in the midst of the city buzz.

The gardens are looking a picture at the moment. And the roses! The scent in the still morning air as the day begins to warm!

Nice and relaxing place to walk, sit or picnic. Lots of shade. There is a public toilet nearby.

Such a beautiful open space with lush green grass, man made waterfalls and river throughout the garden. There is also a beautiful display of roses which is the instant attraction. It would be perfect for a picnic or to simply read nice book on the grass enjoying the sounds of nature.

A really beautiful, peaceful spot, though there are some remediation works on the waterways there currently. The community garden, and rose garden, are both very lovely.

Such a pretty park, great space and so scenic. Nice spot to walk dogs, have a picnic, go for a run or just enjoy the surroundings. In the city but plenty of parking and feels very quiet and peaceful.

Hidden in the southern end of the CBD, the Veale Gardens are an underrated attraction. The grass is lush and green despite the hot temperatures and the roses are a pleasure to admire.

It is one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen. It has a huge space, which is enough for doing family activities like picnic, children games, video shooting, and many more. The most unique feature that surprised me was a free vegetable garden, where anyone can do gardening works as well as get free veggies too. Overall , Veale Garden is best for taking some peaceful break after busy schedules at Adelaide City.

Being at the Southern End of Adelaide's CBD and having access by tram Veale Gardens is a delight and a credit to the Adelaide City Council. The diverse plant, bird and duck life is a pleasure to experience as you wander through meandering paths. With two (2) grottos and a stream plus many park benches it's very easy to find your bit of tranquillity heaven. The Rose Garden is an assault on the senses and the statue art work is worthy a viewing.

Beautiful walks with lots of small waterfalls. Easy to park and free. Could use some water stations for dogs though. Otherwise very Beautiful.

Perfect spot. Immaculate European gardens, the grass and roses are not sprayed with pesticides. Safe for pets and children.

A very scenic place to relax. Located on the South Terrace of the Adelaide CBD. It has a tranquility of its own that instantly gives you the peace of mind. If you want to have some solace after a busy day, it’s the place for you. It can be a family time or all by yourself. A must visit place. Strongly recommended. As a bonus, you have a free parking for 2 hours. So you don’t need to bother for the parking fees.

Beautifully manicured gardens and rose garden, pleasant all year round. Plenty to explore for both young and old. The water features and fountains are popular attractions.

Bordering the city to the south is a magic strip of gardens even in summer it's lush green grass and streams are easily mistaken for English countryside. And for extra enjoyment are the ducks and numerous other bird breeds to watch to about their daily lives.

  • 5/5 A C N. 2 years ago on Google
beautifully maintained! Close to the hustle and bustle of the city yet the size of the garden is big enough to drown out the noise of the city. Peaceful and quite a few flowers set up along with a couple of water features and beautifully carved paths along the water where you can see ducks and other birds.. parking may have to be along the street
