Quite simply, the most flavoursome food we have eaten in memory. Delivered by a passionate team of knowledge staff, the experience was amazing. Sweet/sour lamb shoulder and the banana blossom shredded chicken were perfect. Wine list well priced to.

Book in if you haven't already. I can't believe I waited so long to go here. The food was awesome the service was great and the price was really reasonable. Between the 4 of us we got 3 small dishes and 2 mains (and 1 dessert to share) add 2 bottles of wine ($75 each) and it was still only about $80 per person.

Came here with a group, and there were mixed opinions. Food was beautifully presented, well portioned and they catered well for the variety of dietary requirements. Some dishes were delicious while others people weren’t a fan of, often the comment was that there was TOO much going on and too many different flavours to actually enjoy as a meal. A bit pricey, but nice venue.

Is there any better restaurant in Adelaide?!! I don’t think so. I had Fabulous experience with delicious food and customer service. I enjoyed all bites of my meal. They guided us to choose our meal and we are so happy to select this place to have our lunch. As they told us, portions are very generous as we could finish our main meal. Thank you 😊

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Had lunch with a couple of friends & absolutely loved everything. Flavours were sensational & the presentation was vibrant. Ordered the Beetroot Carpaccio, Banana Blossom Salad, Caramelized Pork Belly & finished off with the Peanut Butter & Chocolate Mousse Parfait. Loved everything but if we had to pick a favorite dish it’d be the Banana Blossom Salad. Can’t wait to visit again & try the other dishes.

Incredible food, amazing combinations, exquisite staff. The kingfish was amazing, both fried and raw. The lamb was to die for also. Definitely worth exploring this amazing restaurant. Their espresso martini’s are great also!

Good food and atmosphere. All the food was delicious. Our only complaint was that the pork belly dish we ordered had very similar salad and flavour profile to the shredded chicken, not a huge problem as we loved the flavours, but I imagine this could frustrate people looking for some variety across the meal.

Peel Street restaurant is a wonderful Australian fusion dining experience. We loved the simplistic modern industrial interior. The menu provides a snapshot of local Adelaide cuisine served as simple family share dishes. Wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We highly recommend Peel St as a must visit downtown dining experience

We tried the tasting menu (the chef's choice of 5 shared dishes for the table). It was a lot of food, but EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS, which is hard to do with multi course meals! Food is definitely comparable to Michelin 1 or 2 star restaurant quality. Strong SE Asian influences (and done really well) and lots of peanuts, they do ask for dietary restrictions when you are sitted.

Amazing food with layers of well-balanced flavors. My waiter tipped me that all of the small dishes could be ordered as "halves", which allowed me to sample both the Straciatella and the Banana leaf chicken. So much flavor in both!! But even at half portions I needed a doggy bag. Sitting at the bar with a view of the kitchen activity is highly recommend.

The place is located in Peel street in heart of Adelaide city. A street full if different restaurants, bars and cafes. The place is very busy with cool decor and lovely, vibrant atmosphere. The service was good and the staff were very friendly and professional. The theme of the menu is modern Asian inspired. Out of four dishes that was on the set menu for group dine-in, the salmon trout sashimi was the best, very fresh, thinly sliced and well balanced and tasty with a beautiful slice of toasted charred beard. One criticism goes to very similar seasoning and dressing or saucing on all the dishes. So the chicken salad and the beef were very similar because of the sauce. The mussel broth was very nice and fresh but the mussels could have been better cleaned. I have got tiny sands which is not quite pleasant. Some slices of the beef were a touch over cooked. But all and all the restaurant has the potentials to be much better than this. I will definitely visit this place in future to have another experience.

Excellent food and great vibe, we loved the sharing experience despite the fact my husband and I rarely share the same taste but we never have lamb at all so we decided now was the best time, and it was devine 👌 the detail of flavours in the food was amazing. Alot of it was too spicy for me but other than that it was delicious.

first of all, friendly and good service. The portions of the main courses were quite large. We preferred house dip for the starter. It was a very delicious starter. The banana bolssom salad can even be consumed as a main course by itself. The sauce of crispy fried kingfish was average. There is also coriander in every product. We preferred chocolate tahini brownie for dessert. The room was suitable for 2 people to share, and I can say that it was more than enough for 2 of us, dense chocolate lovers will love it.

Excellent atmosphere. Superb service. The restaurant was buzzing right from opening. Modern Australian cuisine with contemporary vegan options. Outstanding balance of flavours across all of our dishes. Suitable drinks menu.

Seafood chowder was delicious, Vietnamese beef was to sweet. Beef was really tender though. Serves are really big. Good value

If I could, I would give this fine restaurant a 10 star rating. Nah seriously, it's so good. Tonight I had the Banana Blossom chicken salad and it was jam packed with flavour that it left my hanging onto every fork fill. Fresh food, that's seasonal, cooked with great care and a delicate touch of finesse. Don't go anywhere else. Eat here.

Fantastic food! Absolutely fantastic. Three of us got 1 "smaller" dish [eggplant and okra], 1 larger dish [lamb shoulder] and a dessert [chocolate gelato] and it ended up being about $30pp and we were bursting at the seams. Every single dish was brilliant in taste and presentation. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice and the service is also wonderful. Will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes!!

This food was very flavorful and delicious. Lots of pairings I haven’t thought to use in my own kitchen and plan to! Really well portioned, perhaps too big for my gf and I. I recommend all the dishes we tried. We don’t make a reservation but it might be smart.

One of the best meals I have ever had. This little hole in the wall is a sensation on its own. The service was on point - best I have received in a while. The atmosphere was a hive of activity. If you like a quiet relaxing place then this is not for you. The food was brilliant, such an exquisite combination of flavours that exploded with every mouthful. I wish I could eat more so I could try more dishes - I will just have to keep coming back.

Service was amazing. Food was okay. Confusing fusion but okay. We got seated in the corner bar. And in middle of eating cockroach crawling on the bench. Could be from the tiny whole. 🥲

I wouldn't say this is a hidden gem but for a Monday night it was a very enjoyable experience. Chalk board with their menu definitely took it too a comfy level of what felt like creating your own experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the music was set at the right level. The photos speak for the food, not too heavy, not too light and great serving sizes for sharing. Would go back again

Modern Australian with a strong tilt to Asian inspired dishes. Nice staff and delicious food. Serves are generous and always order both desserts to share.

Wow! Ordered crispy masterstock pork belly and Vietnamese grilled beef. Delicious dishes that put the taste buds in overdrive. So many flavours happening at the same time that worked together beautifully. Fast and attentive service. Would highly recommend.

Managed to get in for lunch without a reservation, but I’d recommend making one. Tried several dishes and the Banana Blossom Salad with Chicken and the Sashimi were OUTSTANDING! Liked the local winery options, too. If I lived in Adelaide, I’d be eating here on a weekly basis.

Well presented, exceptional taste and great portion sizes. Come hungry and bring friends as these meals are meant to be shared plus, the more people, the more of the menu you can try! Menu is updated daily and on a blackboard at back of restaurant.

Wow wow wow. VIsiting Adelaide came across this hidden gem and this place blew me away. The food is amazing and flavours are spectacular. My only regret was I was dining alone and wanted to try everything on the menu. Will fly back to Adelaide with my wife just to eat here.

If I have one take away from this restaurant, it’s texture, texture, texture! Thoughtful plates bursting with flavour in a chill, laid back environment (think: exposed brick and stone, open concept). It is hipster with a fresh imaginative menu and young staff. The height they get on their plates is impressive and eye catching. Wonderful plating as well with tons of colour and texture. Incredibly busy- got a last minute res at the bar at 830 for two. The resto was full when we walked in and by the time we left so make sure to book a res!

Absolutely fantastic. I'm not a big salad or veggie eater, neither is my partner. She doesn't like salad at all. But my were we surprised. The flavours were something I had never tasted before and the presentation of the food was 10/10. Will definitely be back.

Very flavoursome food with excellent, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The kingfish, fried tofu and pork belly were well executed! The wine list were fairly priced. Thanks for the memorable night.

Oh gosh, sign me up danno!!! This place speaks food flavour on another level. We've eaten at a pretty decent amount of restaurants around Australia. But here, there is something special about the flavours that you are getting. Whoever studied to get this perfection right, is a true master! I couldn't fault anything & I am a hard man to please with taste. The $47 lamb shoulder is the best meal in Adelaide. Take my word for it!!! ) AAA+++ Enjoy guys.

Lovely restaurant and super popular. We were lucky to get a seat last minute at the window bar. Food & wines were really good and staff were lovely. Their medium sized plates were the size of mains and all delicious!

The food was exceptional! Best food we've had so far in Adelaide!!! From the first bite my eyes just lit up with the amazing combination of flavours. It really did satisfy my pallet. I went with my husband at short notice they fit us in, the service was second to none, large portions and quick service. We had the king prawns, braised lamb shoulder and peanut butter parfait desert. Highly recommend this place for locals and everyone visiting Adelaide, it's an absolute must!!!

We came to Adelaide for a long weekend to experience the food and wine on offer and Peel St was our first port of call on a Friday lunchtime. I had made a booking to ensure we didn't miss out. We requested a feed-me style meal as we couldn't decide what we fancied, and were offered 5 courses of deliciousness (and a 6th - dessert - which we had to take home with us) for $75 each. The portion sizes were big! (maybe a little too large - we were very hungry but still couldn't finish everything!) and although the flavours / style of the dishes were a little "samey" - think corinader, thai-style marinades and seasonings, each dish was very well executed, fresh and balanced. There was enough protein on the plates for us both to feel like it was bang for your buck, and plenty of veggies for balance. The second course (rainbow trout sashimi) was outstanding. The third course, the banana flower chicken dish(?) was nice but I felt the chicken was a little underwhelming in taste compared to the other dishes and the portion was far too large (not often I complain about that but I don't like food waste!). The peanut butter parfait we took home with us was to-die-for! The service was incredible, we were very well looked after from start to finish and didn't need to wait long for drinks or dishes to arrive. We left a tip for this reason. The restaurant was jam-packed full by the time we left at 2pm. Although quite expensive for a "lunch", it was well worth it and I'm sure that everything on the regular menu would have been worth a try too. Would definitely visit again.
