Fantastic place for a cool down for kids and parents( as the kids make sure we got wet). Fully fenced with toilets, playgrounds, plenty of grass and shade. Unsupervised but that's what the grown ups are for and its free.

One of the best parks in Adelaide.. Beautiful green areas, free bbqs, tennis courts, and a pool too. Plenty of car-parking and public toilets too. Every now and then, you even see a koala up in the tree-tops. Perfect place for families, couples and kids

Most beautiful park for celebrations I've been to in Adelaide. There were at least 6 different parties but it never felt crammed. Wonderfully maintained, lots of small corners to discover, just great!

Splash pool was great for my 8 and 10 year old to keep cool. Lots of trees to provide shade. Nice place to spend a pupil free day as I imagine it would get crazy busy on weekends.

Lovely safe wading poors that the kids love, set in a large park with a variety of play equipment. Pools are cold enough to make kid shiver on a 40 degree day, but that's a bonus.

It was ok. Would have been nice if water was heated and a little deeper like 0.5-0.8m deep on one end so the older kids 4.5yrs old could actually learn to swim and just splash around

It was a nice neighborhood park. There is limited facilities in the playground area. Looking forward to when the pool opens up.

Great park for kids and adults alike. Plenty of playing car park space, tennis/basketball court, swings for kids, and a cute pool to keep your little ones busy. Only con I came across, toilets were not kept well/clean and no hand wash was there.

One of the best parks in Adelaide...it has all Its a hidden jem...beautiful scenic good for one day picnic has tennis courts, play area and sand pit for kids, bbq's under shed and in open. Has swimming pool and shower option i guess only open in summers as it was closed when visited in winter. Beautiful creek water flows resembling river inside the park premises. Clean Toilets. Pets allowed

Revamp of the pool is great. Not much room around it to sit and watch though unless you are on the outside of the fence. Nice big shade cloth over the main pool. Plenty of trees around as well

Beautiful, beautiful place. The small river is fantastic. Great spot for a picnic while letting the kids play in the playground, or to watch them in the wading pool. Would reccomend!

what a great place to take the children for a picnic. There is a huge playground with lots of activities for the children to play on, while parents can observe from the shade of the trees. Lots of room and free BBQ's available.

Visited 27th of December for a birthday party. Pool was closed but no notification listed at the pool or on the web stating it was closed due to technical difficulties. Park is beautiful with lots of shade but communication from the council would have been nice prior to visiting as we only went there for the pool.

Great playground for kids. Amazing wading pool that is clean and well looked after, great for a hot day. Good little playground and plenty of grassy space to set up for a few hours. Although parking here can be a nightmare when the park gets busy, so take that into account.

If I rated this park on sentiment it would be 5+. After all I've lived here for 70 years: so many good memories. The facilities cater for most needs but to be perfectly honest, it's all a bit run down. There's not enough parking if you need to drive here. Don't plan large gatherings on weekends or public holidays. The toilets are inadequate and often dirty. Large areas of level grassed surface have been covered in course bark chips. Bridges over the creek are left out of order for extended periods and playground equipment can be damaged and dangerous. The tennis courts are cracked with a covering of possum poo and ball bearing like Redgum gumnuts. Why does it even rate 4*? For people like me it is a haven of calm and natural serenity that I will never tire of and hope will never change.

Perfect for little ones with the wading pool, small playground and creek. My 5yo son finds the playground a bit small for him now though.

A new place for the dogs to explore, a nice running stream.

A lovely park to visit...although atm it is being renovated

  • 4/5 Joy M. 3 years ago on Google
A great park with lots of space, and lots to entertain the kids. Clean toilet and tennis courts are great. The creek runs through the whole park and is lots of fun particularly in winter when its flowing. Currently the playground is under construction for an upgrade so that is a little inconvenient and the Wading Pool is also closed for an upgrade. Once these two attractions are upgraded and completed, this park will be almost perfect. The only thing that could make the park better is more shade. And it doesn't have any fencing so if you have toddlers or young kids, just beware you have to supervise closely.
