Holiday Inn Express Adelaide is a fantastic hotel choice for your stay in the city. Its central location makes it convenient to explore everything on foot. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, ensuring a pleasant stay. The staff and reception are friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service. The buffet breakfast offers a variety of delicious items, and the continuous refills ensure a satisfying meal. Keep in mind that parking is not available on-site, but nearby parking is available at an additional cost. With everything within walking distance, it's a delightful place to stay in Adelaide.

A spacious layout. Good spaces throughout. A Holiday Inn punching well above its weight. Good value breakfast included. Car parking is in a next door car park and at $25 per stay is surprisingly good value. The TV connects (easily) to Chromecast.

Good location but it’s really close / within the heart of the city so if you are a light sleeper and staying over the weekend, maybe keep that in mind! They’ve got a decent gym and the restaurant and lobby areas are good. Bathrooms were great too! The rooms are standard quality- I actually prefer Holiday Inn as I feel that their service and the effort they put into their rooms is slightly above average. They also have complimentary breakfast for the guests - it isn’t super extensive but definitely does the job when you’re here for a quick trip!

This hotel is fine. However the bar downstairs was very very very loud. I called the operator but they just told me the only thing I can do is to wait until 3am because they usually open until 3am. “Don’t stay in this hotel if you want to have quiet room to sleep.” I stayed on 9th floor. The bar was really noisy with very heavy bass. I am sure no one can sleep under this condition. By the way, The hotel staff wont help you solve this noise issue. They only told me wait until 3am!!!!!! Can you believe that!

I had nice experience here. I requested the quiet room, as I was nervous having a big day. They arranged the room on the corner. I appreciate it I was able to have restful sleep. Receptionists were efficient and friendly. Spotlessly clean room and good breakfast They even put all kinds of alternative milk next to coffee machine. I loved it. If I go back to Adelaide, I would like to stay here again.

The location in the city is good, the staff is average. I'm not a native English speaker, but they did their best to understand what I was saying. Breakfast was okay, up to par. The last day of the three days we stayed, there was no hot water. We asked the staff at the front desk of the hotel, but they only told us that our floor was under maintenance. There was no hot water from 3pm to 5am the next day. And the staff didn't arrange any other solution. For an ordinary hotel chain, guests can only rely on themselves.

This review is so conflicting for multiple reasons, and I don't even know where to begin. The good: The lobby was beautiful, clean and welcoming. The coffee at the bar was great, try the espresso if you come here and can't get to a cafe. I didn't get a chance to try the breakfast but heard good things from a coworker. The rooms are clean and neat for one person....and that's a good time to switch to the bad. The bad: The rooms are built for one person. You could come here with your significant other, but the bed will be tight, and you'll most likely see them using the bathroom through the glass walled bathroom. DO NOT SHARE A ROOM WITH YOUR COWORKER, LOL. Some of the staff was exceptional, the other half seemed like it was a struggle to be there and help you out. I asked for a coffee at 11PM because I had a flight at 6AM the next day and was just going to stay up and sleep on the flight. They said they couldn't turn on the coffee machine? Ok... And then the worst part. If you want to stay here on the weekend and get sleep, for the love of God find somewhere else to stay. You're basically sleeping in a nightclub with how loud the bass is shaking your room. It's unbearable. And this is coming from someone who never has any issues falling asleep. In closing, it's a cool hotel with a lot of potential. The location is actually very great as you are in walking distance to practically anywhere you would want to go. And Adelaide is absolutely stunning. However, I would probably look elsewhere if staying anywhere from Thursday -> Sunday, and/or if you're not going to be here alone. Cheers

Stayed here for my birthday so glad my husband suggested this place. It is located in the city surrounded by restaurants. The entrance is on the side of the build it can be confusing. You need to take elevator to go to the reception which is located in the 1st floor. Reception is spacious plenty of tables and chair. Our booking included breakfast, which was a buffet 1st floor. Selection is not the much. Paid around $200 is definitely worth it to stay with breakfast for this amount but won't pay more than that. Parking is not on the same building but still close. The room is beautiful, bed is comfortable, toilet shower amenities are very good. Though my husband was not happy with the pillows, he got sore neck. I really like the orang sofa in the room a good spot to sit down before sleeping. What we paid was definitely worth it, will recommend and will still come back.

Staff r very friendly & service orientated. Housekeeping needs improvement though. Did not really clean up the room cleanly. The sofa seat's upholstery is filthy. The toilet floor is slippery & I can practically feel the grime on the floor. Almost slipped myself in it. As a long term guest (2nd-28th July '22), I felt that housekeeping ought 2 be improved greatly. Increase the time given 2 clean up the room 4 a more comfortable stay. As 4 the breakfast buffet, a wider variety will be great.

Amazing service from Brianna! Made checking in a smooth and pleasant experience. Room was comfortably furnished, shower had great water pressure and not the mention the convenient location in the middle of the city. Breakfast buffet was basic but hit all the right spots. Would definitely recommend HolidayInn, was a great stay!

Nice hotel with friendly reception staff. The breakfast had a small selection that was perfectly executed, the only breakfast complaint is the coffee from the coffee machines could have been hotter. The major letdown was the housecleaning staff. My room wasn’t cleaned properly for the second half of my week long stay. The bins weren’t emptied, milk not topped up in the fridge, bath towels were just folded back up onto the rails and the bed wasn’t made for the last 4 days of my stay.

Location was great as it is close to CBD. Service was excellent and room was very neat and clean. Restaurant was great with good breakfast. This is probably one of the best hotels we stayed in Adelaide. Hotel looks very modern and guests love the design, the architect who did the design/renovation had done a fantastic job. The only drawback was room was bit small for a family, other than that everything was fine. I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely return in future as our expectations were exceeded.

Went for a quick trip and the location was excellent. Very close to the train station as well as the mall. Flew in on a Saturday and was advised that it was going to be noisy downstairs (Hindley street) but since I was at the 7th floor it was pretty quiet and was able to get a good night sleep. Room was clean and stacked with what a traveller would need. Free breakfast in the morning - although nothing to rave about it was filling. For the price this was definitely a good place to book.

My partner I stayed from 1-3 Jan and it was an easy check in and the room was precisely as stated. Great location, clean, new and more importantly wonderful staff. It has made me change my mind on this brand. Also the pattern in the lobby and bathroom is based on Adelaide's city plan, a nice touch. We shall return, thanks HI.

I was greeted with professional and polite reception it make me feel like a star. My room was very clean and looks very new restaurant and breakfast was always amazing . The manager Hope and her team were very professional and polite. If you need anything you ask it and they do it right away which is awesome to see. This motel is the best ever location is handy to everything that you need, if you need to hire a car Hertz there’s one company right across the road there’s a tram on the same block. Doesn’t matter what do you fancy there’s always amazing food in the same block location location location. In conclusion this is the best hotel in Adelaide don’t worry about any hotel go to Hotel Inn Express.

The staff at the hotel are really great Kim at the bar especially, he is very attentive and very friendly. The rooms are a bit small but overall great value for money and shame there is no pool or spar. The location is perfect across the road from the train station and on a busy street full of bars and restaurants.

Came in at 7pm from a full, exhausting day of travel. Every other of the 30+ hotels on 5 continents I needed an electrical converter for, over the course of 2 years of global travel, has had a relevant converter if I needed it (and I carry one for USA/Europe/GB&Asia). Even the previous 4 hotels in AUS have had the peculiar 3-pronged type, which they loaned me (and a deposit was charged or reserved in case I didn't return it). This one has nothing, and so I cannot charge my computer. They tell me to go buy one somewhere in the neighborhood. They refuse to buy it themselves and have it on hand for others with the same problem and they give me the most illogical excuses. Fortunately, I found a store that was open until 11pm and I was able to buy one for $12.50, which I was able to use for 3 days before returning to the USA, meaning I had to add it to my packed luggage or leave it behind. What a clueless business policy on the hotel's part. P.S. I am adding to this after I left. I give them an additional star because the rest of the stay was good, with a very nice breakfast (somewhat fitting for the moderate price).

Well-presented modern hotel with reasonable pricing and clean facilities. Beds and pilllows were very comfortable. Breakfast was included and featured a variety of dishes/beverages within a clean and spacious dining area. Location was very convenient being walking distance to tram stops and Rundle Mall. The reception staff gave the impression they do not enjoy their jobs very much but they warmed up eventually. Remember, a smile and friendliness goes a long way! The security guard was very nice. Overall, we had a positive experience and am glad we booked here.

Prior to arriving there it was such an headache trying to get the right person to address a request. Arriving there everything was fine. We loved the room (it was clean), location was great beside night time you can hear the base from the night club and only one thing not enough staff to cater to us.

Stayed for several days. Excellent room, location and service. The room was very well set out and modern, the customer service was great as were the breakfast facilities and food. Location was awesome being close to the central railway station, a tram stop in North Terrace and lots of local restaurants & cafes. It is also only a few minutes walk from the Torrens River. The on-site workout facilities were also well thought out and great to use.

We stayed for one night using Great State Voucher and I can say that it's definitely worth 5 stars. From the moment we entered the building, greeted with smiles and walked into our amazing room. I love the thoughtful design, the bathroom door (how creative is that!), the chair by the bed facing strategically to the TV while allowing us to soak in the city view...even the kettle is a thoughtful size, because let's be real, how many times have we been to the hotels and the kettle is wayyy to big to fit under the sink tap? The curtain and the soundproof window are excellent.. This room is designed for comfort and practicality, love it!

Fantastic hotel, super clean , rooms , clean, dark for sleeping, no noise despite being off hindley st . very nicely set out hotel , good price, fantastic breakfast . great staff. Beautiful bed & linen.. Amazing shower.. Very secure for customers . Only negative. No on site parking included. But not a major problem as the quality of the hotel more than makes up for it

Rooms, location and breakfast are all good but the 1.5% credit card fee (which we knew about when we booked) was actually 1.9%. When we mentioned it we were told that they were aware they had to change the email you get when you book!!! Really - can you actually charge more than you say you are going to? Also - almost nowhere else charges it - small independent hotels don’t but a huge organisation like IHG does … disappointing

Such a lovely stay this weekend for my work conference. Staff were accommodating, friendly and very helpful. The entire building felt warm and extremely clean. Complimentary breakfast saved me after a few late nights. Would highly recommend and return.

Beautiful hotel. Really clean and comfortable. Not a great view from the room but there is a beautiful big bar at reception and free breakfast buffet with your stay definitely worth it.

The hotel's amenities are simple but everything you need. Cosy and clean room. Inclusive continental buffet breakfast was delightful too. Spacious dining/ lounge area (next to reception) with great happy hour deal. Lovely service team. Easily accessible via public transport from the airport. Convenient and central location. We had a very pleasant stay!

Great location for quick city trip, new clean building providing all basic amenities. Clean gym and excellent for a complimentary buffet breakfast. Just missing a pool. 4+ stars.

Relatively cheap CBD option, located in a rather dingy laneway. Not very inviting nor safe late at night. Either the council or the hotel itself should consider much brighter streetfront lighting . Rooms are not overly large, but well enough equipped. TV, USB points, small coolbox - not really a fridge. Definitely showing wear and tear. In our room, the chair was badly stained, the footstool had a broken leg, and some water from the oddly designed shower leaked out onto the room floor. Breakfast is included and is quite a reasonable selection. The hotel has a gym and a laundry. Discounted parking is next door . I think they should consider providing some bottled water in the rooms. Overall, a good bargain option.

Great little hotel, near the Rundle mall. Close to many little eateries and 24 hour shops. No restaurant, apart from breakfast so don't expect room service dinner. Rooms are a good size for a couple and the beds are very comfortable. Not a bad place to stay, you could definitely do a lot worse! Give it a go!

Location: Perfectly located right in the heart of Adelaide. Service: No problems. Rooms: Suitable for people travelling alone. Clean but quite small. Some quirky things like a safe that doesn't work, two single beds yet only one chair. Ample charger points. Complimentary breakfast lacked variety in the hot foods; only bacon and eggs.

Great location. Walking distance to everything. Breakfast was sufficient . Beware do not stay on a Saturday night due to nightclub noise. Music pumping all night so don’t expect any sleep even with noise cancelling earphones 😫. Staff obviously know about it as first hotel I have ever stayed at where staff didn’t ask how stay was. Would highly recommend mid week though

This hotel is an absolute gem. We are local to Adelaide and booked this place to stay in the city after the showdown. To this day I can not believe how good this place is. Rooms are awesome, breakfast was awesome, parking was included. Honestly couldn't fault Holiday Inn Express, and we have just booked again for another weekend. The value for money at this hotel is unmatched.

Great venue for small events or conference. It’s modern, spacious, and conveniently located in the Adelaide CBD. It’s also a lovely spot to catchup with a friend or to just have a drink. The staff is beautiful and always willing to help with a can do attitude. I can’t say what the rooms are like, but my guess is that they won’t disappoint. Love the colours and interior design, fresh and modern.

At the Holiday Inn, you can bet on getting awesome service and, of course, a fantastic view. But that's not all – you'll also feel right at home, surrounded by warmth and friendship. The hotel staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like their VIP guest. Our room was mind-blowing, and the bed was like sleeping on a fluffy cloud. We're counting down the days until we can go back there again!

  • 5/5 Vicky Z. 9 months ago on Google
The location is in the city centre of Adelaide and so convenient to get to shopping malls, restaurants and attractions. Room price was very reasonable. Room was cleaned well every day. Breakfast was not so many choices and differences every day but very delicious . Staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend and will come again.

  • 3/5 Robyn S. 1 year ago on Google
The location is fantastic. Walking distance to train station, cafes and shopping. I found it easy to find the parking. I would say it's more suited to someone staying on their own. The glass bathroom is so impractical. No privacy and turning the light on during the night lights up the entire room. We stayed on a weekend and the noise from the Hindley Street nightclubs on Saturday was ridiculous. The room vibrated with the bass of the music and we didn't sleep more than a few hours because of this and the noise. There was constant knocking on doors which seems strange given you need a card to use the lifts. I would stay again for work, but not for a weekend.
