This is by far our family's favorite restaurant in Boston. We've eaten here regularly for several years and the sushi is always impeccable, everything on the menu is delicious, and the wait staff is so nice (Gina is the best!). My son even includes the gyoza from New Ginza in his school drawings about his favorite things. We love this place!

If I could rate lower than 1 star, I would. Not sure why or how this place is so highly rated on Google. I reserved a table to share Valentine's dinner with my fiancée, and could not have been more disappointed. The sushi was okay, but our palate was soured by a terrible experience. To start, we found a hair in our fried oysters, which they still tried to charge us for. Can you imagine? We did not expect anything, and said no problem. Instead of trying to make up for it, we were treated poorly which negatively affected what is supposed to be a special evening. Later there was a shortage of salmon, and we were told it's on us for not ordering sooner. Our server was completely apathetic, and quite rude. We waited 25 minutes to order a second roll, but ultimately decided to leave, with no intention of returning due to EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Highly recommend that you consider your alternatives before ordering or dining here... 👎🤢🤮

I really like this place! Very nice food! I live in the apartments right next to it and this is becoming my go to place for takeout or dine in. Love the sushi and the fried ice cream! Miso soup is on point! Katsu comes with a very nice assorted veggie stir fry... Check out the pictures. Well cooked... Full of subtle but good flavor!

Went before the dinner rush and was cordially invited in and seated with no rush to order. Ramen was acceptable, but lacked the depth. Hibachi steak was also acceptable, slightly overcooked. Side of vegetables was very generous. Towards the end of the meal we had a server who tacked ont two udon orders which was rectified but confusing as to how it was on our tab in the first place. And there was two more mistakes on the receipts after and made our check out very confusing. Will try the sushi next time.

If you like fresh oysters - New Ginza is where you go! Happy Hour every Monday, super fresh oysters, super friendly crew. All food is amazing, no disappointment! We've been going there for years, always a great experience!

We had the hibachi steak, sushi boat for 1, maki combo, noodles soup with chicken katsu. Everything except the noodle soup dish comes with a salad and miso soup. Sushi was fresh. Steak was ok. The noodles were springy but soup a bit on the salty side. Overall, nothing bad but nothing special jumps out at us either. Service was alright. We were there on a sat night around 8pm. No wait.

The food is sooooooooo good! Fresh tuna! And also good service! Definitely wanna go again! Strongly recommend!

New Ginza holds a strong place in our hearts. Many years ago, my (now) wife and I were dating and came across New Ginza as a fun date option. We sat in a booth and it took me 45 minutes! to order because it was my first sushi experience. I had lots of questions. My wife patiently answered my questions and the staff backed her up admirably. The GM at the time came and made us feel like we were already family and kept us happy and laughing through the meal. When the food came... it was beautiful. Each dish or roll was artfully constructed both in balanced flavor and even color. We shared an Alligator Roll and I think my brain chemistry changed. It's the only way that I can describe it. After this experience that night, we came back 4 more times that same week. 5 visits in one week! People over the age of 40, like us, remember that Cheers in Boston was the place where people were supposed to feel at home. For us, our Cheers was New Ginza. We ate there regularly for YEARS, and look forward to our visits when we're in town again. The GM remembered our names and would never make us wait. Keep it up team! You set the bar for high quality food and service.

I had Spicy Edamame and Spicy Miso Pork Ramen. Amazing taste, good service. Decent quantity and price.

While our waitress was nice when she was at the table, she didn't check on my wife and I nearly as frequently as you would expect. At times, it was difficult to grab her attention, even while she was 15 feet away wiping down chairs at empty tables. The rolls we had tasted fresh and were presented nicely. Last item we ordered was the shrimp pad thai. When it arrived, my wife took one bite of the noodles and said it tasted odd. I went to try it but it smelled awful and decided not to. We let our waitress know, and while she did offer to replace it with something else, we opted not to. The pad thai was not remove from our bill.

The $1.00 Oysters on Monday nights are the best in the city. Menu is great and so are all the servers!

Had an amazing dinner last night. Sushi and dishes were fresh & phenomenal. Great selection of Japanese beer as well. Service was top notch and I hope to return soon!

I went here for my birthday with friends, and made a reservation however it wasn't really needed as the place at the time wasn't so busy. The place is beautiful and its relatively quiet! As the food, oh my goodness, the food is so great! I just didn't know the portions would be so huge for me and my friends, and regrettably had some leftovers behind. I really recommend the chirashi bowl if you love to eat some raw fish with rice along with other assortments. My friends also loved the food here. The service was also good, as the waiter was patient with us. Would come again.

Surprisingly good. This place has been popular for years and at times hard to get a table. The food was good and inventive. Lots of options. But now... It got better! Really pleasant surprise. Yummy

We love this place, food is always delicious and the service is terrific! Our 18-month toddler loves the noodles and chicken, and sushi is always fresh and tasty! Highly recommend.

The food was very good. The sushi tasted so fresh. The ambiance is decent. We made a reservation but it was not needed. There was no line. We went on a Monday. We read about servers being very kind and courteous. Although we didn’t get that kind of treatment until half the time we were there. There were not many servers present too. We might not be dining there again but will get some food for takeout.

Walked in... Stunk of fish. My daughter said it smelled like an animal shelter. Needless to say we left.... Not taking a chance. Your response is not valid.... Anyone will tell you a restaurant should not smell like that..... Even a simple Google will tell you why... "There should not be any fishy scent to your sushi. Fresh fish should have no scent at all, and neither should the facility creating the sushi. A clean, odorless sushi facility is always an excellent clue that the staff of the market, restaurant or grocer cares about food safety and excellent quality". Run don't walk.

New Ginza has become our favorite local restaurant! Every member of the staff is consistently kind and friendly; the food is nutritious, delicious, and presented with care; and the service is quick and accommodating. We are grateful that they exist for the moments where we want to celebrate with loved ones; for the tough days when we need a cozy corner booth and a yummy meal; and everything in between. (PS - the Yakitori is amazing!)

I ordered delivery and the food was absolutely delicious. Also, when I called to let them know they'd forgotten one of my items, just a few minutes later, someone rang the doorbell with the missing item. Very impressed.

Awesome bar here! 90 items on tap and really nice staff! The duck nachos weren't great, really small portion and the cheese was awful. The pretzel bites and beer cheese sauce was amazing though!

What an amazing place to dine. Staff are welcoming and the atmosphere is cozy and the food is great. The only downside and let me stress that this isn't the establishment fault but the parking is lacking.

Awesome Japanese restaurant. Expansive menu with everything you'd expect at a Japanese restaurant. Great drinks too! A little pricey, but I keep coming back!

Love love love this place!! Great food and presentation, service is excellent, and prices are reasonable. I cannot recommend enough, easily my favorite Sushi place!
