My lovely black cat had a Urinary track blockage took him in and was given a projected bill for almost 4 grand to help him , I was speechless upset and resigned to taking him home to die as if anyone can spend that sort of money... Dont agree to any projected bill until you challenge it. My lovely black cat had a Urinary track blockage took him in and was given a projected bill for almost 4 grand to help him , I was speechless upset and resigned to taking him home to die as if anyone can spend that sort of money... I said this, and the bill came down to 2 grand, then I almost burst into tears as the Max I had was 700 through vet pay . In the end, it ended up being 780 from almost 4 grand. I feel sorry for those who would have had to take their pets home to die because of the obscene amount of money that is asked .

We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved nearly 16 year old labrador Miley at very short notice. It was a Sunday and fortunately the clinic could accommodate us very quickly. A beautiful room was prepared for our arrival and the lovely Tara greeted us with warmth and compassion and explained to us what was going to transpire. As you would expect we were extremely fragile and distraught, but we knew in our hearts this was the right time to say goodbye. Dr Emily the veterinary surgeon greeted us and wanted to know a lot about Miley’s life with us, as the clinic was not the usual clinic that Miley went to. Miley was made comfortable on a lovely soft blanket and the four of us sat and talked, kissed and cuddled her as Dr Emily explained exactly what was going to happen. When the time came, Miley gently went to sleep and is now on the rainbow bridge happily running in the rolling hills. Tara arranged for the AWL to collect her so we could have her ashes returned to us in a beautiful wooden box. A few days later we collected her ashes from the lovely Kelsey at the clinic. We also received a beautiful sympathy card from the clinic, as well as paw and nose prints and locks of her fur. We couldn’t recommend Dr Emily and the lovely staff at Adelaide Vet Trinity Gardens highly enough! Thank you so much for looking after all of us.

Good vets with some seriously dodgy business practices. I have had ongoing issues with being overcharged for dispensing medication, and I'm now having issues with cancelling a monthly charge which they are suggesting is a contract, despite being over 2 years old with no contract signed. Explore other options.

Would NOT recommend and never returning. Disgusted. Our family dog is close to the end and they call us on the dot of our appointment, while we are pulling up and tell us its too late and that we have missed the appointment. Our dog is not eating, vomiting bile etc. The amount of times had to wait 45-60mins in the waiting room (which is fine) but the one time we actually desperately need them they let us down. Big business that cares more about $ than animals now. Good way to lose life long customers. Never returning.

I took my 14 week old puppy in with a bee sting. The vet couldn’t get it out and I was still charged $86 for a consult. They are a greedy practice and it’s not the first time I’ve been here and experienced the same thing. Silly me for going back but I never will again. My puppy proceeded to throw up in the car when I got home, sums up my visit to this vet practice.

I have used Adelaide Vet for some time and always found them amazing. I unfortunately ended up at Trinity Gardens Christmas Eve with my cat. The vet and vet nurses were SO kind, caring, reassuring and gave my boy the best care ever. I was incredibly stressed, but they made a traumatic situation much more comfortable for me and my cat. Thank you team I couldn't be more thankful for your help and compassion.

My cat is on a wellness plan but i do plan on going somewhere else once it expires. My cat requires eye drops (maxidex) for life and have always been paying about $34. yesterday i went in to get the prescription filled and they charged a whopping $84 price increase of $50. I was told it was the distributor but not entirely true as another vet charged me half the price. Very disappointed feeding off people's love for animals for money

We have been clients of Adelaide Vet Trinity Gardens for around twenty years. At the moment we have 4 dogs and 4 cats so we see the vet regularly. Today as we were driving to a 9.45 appointment I received a call form the vet. I said we were just about there, no more than 2 minutes away and was told that we had missed our time. When I explained that we needed to discuss end of life for one of our dogs the person on the phone was very nice and made an appointment at 11 o’clock at the Goodwood practice. We arrived there on time and waited 34 minutes before being seen. I have no problem with this as there is usually quite a considerable wait time every time we visit the vet. What I do have a problem with is being called at 9.45 exactly and be told we had missed our appointment, not even leeway of a couple of minutes. The staff at Adelaide vet have always been lovely, very kind and caring and I have no problems with any of the vets, nurses and receptionists we have seen. I think management is most concerned about making money now and I’m sure the phone call was a management directive. We will no longer be attending this practice.

Original review has disappeared from this site. Beware this operation - my experience was not pleasant with a $30 prescription fee added every month to my cat's medicine even though there was no consultation. When asked to explain the pricing of the scrip reception made an arbitrary decision to increase it by 25%. I appealed this and it was bought back to its original $100 per month. This was made up of the medicine $50, the monthly prescription fee of $30 and $20 for who knows what. From my new vet I am now getting the medicine for $50 per month flat. Beware.

I came in on a Thursday extremely distraught and terrified as my cat was unwell, she is my world and my only family I have. I didn't know what to expect when I went in. Straight away they rushed her in for an examination and I sat in a separate room they gave me updates on how she was and explained what their process was I was comforted by all staff. They understood and didn't make me feel embarrassed for having a bit of a break down. All staff amazing, I truly felt they went above and beyond for my baby girl and I'm extremely grateful. Dr. Steel did my cats examination and with her knowledge she made an educated guess on what the issue was most likely to be straight away and was right. My cat is back to 100% and her only issue is her attitude because because i wont let her fight a lizard that I have in my back yard. Thank you to all staff ❤️

Staff were nice enough but $3500 for an xray, wound cleaning blood test and medication, Compared to other vets this is extremely expensive. Unfortunately i wont be a repeat customer because of this.

Great Service, helped us with our first puppy. she had so much energy that she tripped and rolled on the ground. she yelped and then was shaking and wasn't walking on her paw at all. due to her being our first fur baby, we didn't have much knowledge on how to help her. We decided that we needed to go the an emergency vet practice and AdelaideVet Trinity Gardens helped us out a lot and was very patient and calm and reassured us that she just had a sprain. we were given medication for her and clear instructions on how to take care of her and now she is back to full health. Thank you so much for being there at 10 - 11 at night. You guys are amazing! 😊💖🐶. Amber our dog also says thank you!

I had my puppy first vaccine in other vet n came here for 2nd vax they charged $190 didn’t even ask me if I want the 3rd one there and I had to call them a million times to change the booking date coz they r always fully booked. I obviously didn’t want my puppy 3rd vax in this vet so I wana get refunded.

The hard decision was made today to have our 16 year old Border Collie x Marley put down. The wonderful staff & Vet Meghan made it a sad but dignified end of life for Marley. She looked peaceful & my husband & I wished to thank you all. Kind Regards Janet

Very appreciative of opportunity to make an appointment with a Nurse as no Vet appointment available today. Excellent advice and management of pain. Thank you Nurse Katie

After arriving 8 minutes late, due to traffic & Google maps, I was turned away so that the vet would not run late for future apointments! The appointment was for a review of previous treatment - not a biggy!!!!! I travelled to this vet beacuse my local Adelaide Vet did not have an available vets or appointments inside of a week!!! To say I am disappointed is an understatement. They have lost a customer.

Have used this practice for many years now and can't fault them. All the Vets and Nurses are very kind to their patients and do everything to ensure their comfort and health. Thank you for your wonderful care of Ryder.

Been using this place for years. They are not bargain price but they always do a good job and are very kind to the animals. They open for very late hours which is convenient to pick up pets if they have been in there for the day. I would not consider going anywhere else as I am very happy with their service.

We want to sincerely thank the staff and the way they handled the process of us having to decide to euthanise our dog, Tilly. We were given a room were we could spend time with her, never feeling rushed or pressured. She was given a beautiful chicken meal, smakos and we even smuggled in her favourite cheese! We were given the option to stay with her during the final stages, when she passed. Such lovely, sincere, respectful staff. Thank you for allowing this hard time to be special.

Cannot ever fault Adelaide Vet. We usually visit Prospect, so we saw a different vet today, and they were very thorough, and did their best to put my dog at ease. The entire team are always very friendly and helpful.

I can not praise Bonnie and Dr Emily enough today with their service. This morning my cat needed emergency attention (my normal Vet is closed) and it was seamless service from the minute I called asking for emergency advice, to having him seen and him having an emergency procedure performed all within hours of my call. It was completed without any hassles, even though from what I could see they were juggling such a busy Sunday morning already. Thanks again ladies!

I am on a wellness plan, my cat had an infection, there were no appointments available at the Prospect site for 2 weeks, I attended the Trinity Gardens site, the vet was wonderful. I booked a follow up appointment for a weeks time, the receptionist booked it on line and bot of us wrote it down in our diaries. Being older people, we prefer keeping our appointment records on paper. When we turned up for our follow up appointment a week later, at the time we had both been given there no record of our appointment. There was no chance of being seen on that day, there was explanation as to how this could happen. The receptionist apologised beautifully, but had no meaningful solutions, and booked us another appointment in 36 hours. Liked the vet, very unhappy with the administration of the services. It was inflexible and did not take into account distressed animals or their owners.

I have been coming to this clinic for years, and have always have a very good experience across the numerous visits. This is especially important to me as my dog is dog reactive, which makes it a tricky situation for me to take him to the vet. The staff (reception and doctors) are always lovely and the doctors are experienced, educational and kind. I would highly these guys.

After a heartbreaking and stressful time over the past 18 months trying to diagnose and manage my dogs chronic pain my partner and I tried another vet for a second opinion. Now we will never take our dog back to AdelaideVet. Our dog had internal bleeding due to medications they placed him on and when we came in with concerns we were told to continue the medication until I couldn’t watch my dogs health deteriorate rapidly and stopped it. This was only the beginning of our 18 month ordeal with AdelaideVet. Take your fur babies else where because they deserve better care than what this money hungry business can provide.

My partner saw a stray cat hit by a car on Magill Road so tried to help the cat by taking it here. Cat was very feral and in pain. No microchip. Trying to claw thru the cat carrier he transported it in. Dropped the cat off at Adelaide Vet & Emergency Trinity Gardens and told 'to call back to get an update'. He called back and told to 'call back later for an update'. Called next day curious what happened to the cat and was told 'you have called so many times already...you are not the owner of the cat so we can't give you any information what happened to the stray cat or I will lose my job...' When staff are that scared to give out basic info then you know it isn't a good place to bring an animal. Staff are only as good as the environment they work in. What sort of vet won't give an update on an animal that was brought in for help? That is SO suspicious. We suspect the cat was just dumped out in the carpark and lower ranking staff told to keep silent about it if they want to keep their job. I wonder what really happened to the cat?

Our family cat, Sesame was brought here twice. The first she was brought here here was to get her checked up on as she was quite lethargic and we could tell something was not right. The vet patted her down, told us she was fine and happily charged us hundreds of dollars and told us she was fine. 8 months later, we observed more abnormalities in her behaviour and she was brought in and we were told she was going into heart failure due to fluid inside of her body, and were told that this condition would have been present for some time, even though we had brought her in many months prior. The vets stressed her out so much while taking her bloodwork and did not allow us to come back there to keep her company that by the time we saw her again, she was not able to breathe without an oxygen mask and was subsequently euthanized as we had no other options. If you want your pets' medical conditions to be identified prior to critical condition, i do not recommend this vet clinic. Judging by other reviews for this place, its not just us who has had bad experiences. The other issue with this vet clinic is the ridiculousness of the appointment times. Each time we showed up on time for our appointments, only to sit in a waiting room for another 45-60 minutes at the detriment to our cats health, whom become stressed in an unknown environment. If you want proper, professional care for your animal; this isn't the place for you.

This is a great veterinary place to take your loved pets. They take an interest in your pets and make suggestions to keep your pet healthy. My beautiful dog looks forward to seeing all the vets here. The reception staff and nurses are always accommodating with his medication needs. Thank you

Do not bring rescued wildlife animals to this vet. No care is taken for rescued wildlife animals. Animals needing a check up/ rehabilitation are put down without question. If you've found an injured native animal, do not contact a vet. Go straight to a wildlife rescuer.
