Good range of things to purchase. From feed, to farm fresh produce. Gifts for every age group. Lovely clean store. Well layed out. Cute chicks, bantams. Looking forward to future business here. Have been a long time customer of Keelan's: Payneham Road, Newton and change of owner; but today experienced rudeness that others have mentioned. A genuine question was met with an extremely abrasive response by the owner. Am trusting a one off otherwise will be seeking my supplies elsewhere. Pity.

What a bunch of rude woman, went there to buy fish food and pollard for my chickens, there was a lovely disabled boy who helped me find the fish food but he wasn’t sure of the pollard, he sad I need to ask the old lady’s behind the counter, not once was I acknowledged when I walked in or when I was asking the young boy for help ,,,I waited for five min at the counter , but decided I wasn’t going to be treated in a rudely manner , so I walked out , by the time I put fish food back still holing my hundred dollar note in my hand and got in my car one of the old lady’s asked me if they could help me ???? I said unfortunately I got the help from the young boy , hope you treat him well and drive off. Won’t be going back there again .

Great store, reasonable prices. At the height of harvest we were sold grain at another store, with the assurance it was wheat, not screenings, and of course it was screenings- never go there again, so on recommendation of friends tried Keelans, and have never looked back. He who cannot be mentioned on Face Book has had a stroke, and could not lift a bag of wheat so they trotted it out to the car for him, no worries. Would recommend this store to older ppl and disabled due to their kindness and assistance, plus the quality of stock. New info, Keelans will deliver. I also bought 6 fertile eggs for a broody silky here-$2 each. Due to hatch 27 or 28 Jan, see how we go. Lovely ppl. Update, seven hatched from six eggs- so got twins in one egg, unfortunately mother hen killed four before I could stop her- now raising three lovely Dorking Chicks- really sweet natured. Staff at store gave us lots of helpful hints on how to raise the chicks ourselves. Lovely ppl, lovely service. UPDATE this store has changed hands and the ppl no longer sell fertile buff orpington eggs. the original owners have sold to others so no idea how it is now.

I've been here many times before and the gentleman at the time was very helpful. But today different story. lady at the counter was very rude. .next time may be try to listen with a bit attention and don't jump into conclusions.

Says they open at 8:30 am both on Google maps and on the door, however I arrived at 8:30 and waited around until 8:50 with no sign of anyone around to open up and no answer on the phone. Opening hours need to be changed to avoid customers wasting their time.

We've been going to Keelan for the last 2 years because we love the friendly service we get each time as well as the great product choice. Today I visited to get some supplies and advice for a very sick and sad looking chook in my flock. I was asked excellent questions and provided fantastic advice - within hours my chook is looking happy and healthy again - a huge relief! Thank you! I can't recommend Keelan enough!
