A great Park for a leisurely walk, a beautiful lake with lots of birds and ducks to watch. Small bird and animal enclosures too. An enclosed Children's playground and a mini golf area as well as bowling greens. Summer months, Music in the Park, great afternoons of great music from Blues to Jazz with lots more in between

A very pleasant place to walk and relax ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ. We stopped at a food market day. There was sun โ˜€๏ธ, music ๐ŸŽถ, many families with cheerful children ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ , and food ๐Ÿฒ. Extremely nice to try new things and tastes. The park has an exhibition of birds: small birds, peacocks and hens and roosters (Pictures below). The park is maintained, but not quite. The pools where the ducks swim are full of garbage, the water is extremely dirty. Which makes an unpleasant impression. But the duckz are friendly and hungry (in this water, food is hard to find in my opinion)...

Ward Park is a small park but has plenty in it. A play area for kids, bowling green, several duck ponds, an enclosed area with many different species of birds. Also has a gun taken from a German submarine. Not forgetting the tennis courts and all weather pitch. Nice place for a picnic during the summer and a lovely walk in the rain.

Great local park especially for young children. It has a play park and 2 lakes with ducks and geese plus also multiple bird enclosures with many small, exotic feathered friends for the young children to be amazed by. There's a small coffee shop and also history in the shape of the towns War Memorial. A deck canon from a captured German WW1 sub takes pride of place nearby. In it's more recent history, Ward Park has played host to some top bands including Bangor's own Snow Patrol and rap star Eminem on a stage constructed at the sports pitch end of the park. 40000 people singing Chasing Cars is quite a sight. In July and August the classic Bandstand is a more modest location for Park life music with different themes each weekend ranging from Punk to Ska to swing. A bowling green and many squirrels just add to the charm. Sometimes we forget to stop and appreciate what's right on our doorstep and Ward Park is definitely that. Four stars (not five as the Duck ponds need cleaning)

Such a nice park! If you want to walk, it's great. If you have a child on a scooter or bicycle, it's great. If you are cycling, it's great. There's lots of animals to see - ducks, geese, chickens, squirrels. Really nice coffee shop too. Places to sit around the war memorial as well. Enclosed park for the little ones with benches inside and out to sit at with tables.

Lovely park. There are geese and ducks that live on the pond. Also a few fancy birds to see on the cages where they're looked after. It's one of my favorite walks in Bangor.

Beautifully kept park and a lovely pond, with lots of ducks. A bowling green, cricket pitch, tennis courts, an aviary with some exotic specimens, a bandstand. What's not to love? Even on a wet day, it's a pleasure to walk there and admire its beauty. Such a serene place right in the heart of Bangor.

Went to a music concert here. Packed with people but very well organized. Plenty of volunteers who kept everything in order. Coffee shop and ice cream van

I went here a few months ago with the dog. It's a great place to unwind. However, keep your dog on a lead, there's a few dogs without a lead that fun up to other dogs and nearly snap the face of your dog. The animals like ducks and other birds are lovely to watch. The place feels very peaceful. Will be back soon.

It's a nice place for a walk at any time of the day. Good for families with children. There is a small coffee shop if you want to stop for coffee and a desert. Dogs are welcome, too!)) I enjoyed their coffee

Lovely local park, well maintained with good facilities for tennis, lane bowls, cricket and football, not to mention the playground or the aviary. Be sure to check out the free music events in the summer. (Hopefully with better weather than this year!)

Lovely town park in Bangor. There's a stream running through it and a duck pond in the middle. The park has an aviary, tennis courts, football pitches, children's play area, bowling green and war memorial. There's a good carpark near the football pitches.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Amazing to walk the dogs here. You can go up to Helen's Tower from here and let the dogs roam free. Watch out for Trial Bikers. They actually shouldn't be in the part where the walk to Helen's Tower is.
