Super picnic area. Nice views of the Lough and a handy road passing behind. Some people got out and went for a swim, that lasted for about 10 seconds before they were back into the cars and leaving. The water must not have been warm enough for them! Mind you today is the 10th January!!!

Nice place to stop and 3 minute stroll to enjoy the sunlight sparkling on the Lough. One of the few places to park. Some brave people swimming in the sunshine, a slipway here for canoes and swimmers.

Very nice and friendly place for a picnic and having a calm time.

It's a killer to get up to but worth it as the views are amazing, there are only a few picnic spots but so nice.

Very clean lots of clean new picnic tables and also bins. Plenty of car parking and rocky stony beach to walk along

Lovely quiet spot, if a little untidy. Bin- emptiers arrived while we were there (good) but some rubbish left behind as they left.

Lovely area on shore of Strangford Lough. Suitable for a picnic though some background traffic noise from main road. Great place to birdwatch or watch the windsurfers. Picnic benches provided and clean. Automatic cleaning toilet facility. Some rubbish left behind by other users needed tidying before we set up.

Lovely spot to stop off on the way back from a trip around Strangford Lough. Fair amount of space for a good few vehicles and a toilet facility available (20p or free if disabled). Great view of the Lough just outside Newtownards.
