Most people tend to walk towards the beach area when they arrive at Crawfordsburn Park but there is so much to see within the country park forest area especially during autumn time. Plenty of paths and walks to suit all ages and fitness levels. And the big bonus is the great Cafe for a well earned cuppa or meal afterwards.

Ample parking, access to toilets and a lovely cafe. Ice cream vans and gorgeous scenery. Makes for a great walk.

Easy walks in the woods or on the beach. Plenty of car parking. Very popular with dog walkers all year round and plenty of bins for waste. Dogs very often off the lead. Paths are well maintained but some can be muddy in winter. Very busy on warmer summer days. Opening hours are very restricted. Ridiculous that the gate to main car parks not open before 9am

I was pleasantly surprised by the supreme quality of everything we ate at the cafe here. I was not expecting that at a park. Very peaceful, friendly guests, and great trails leading back to a waterfall.

Refurbished toilets in lower car park are clean and well kept. Lovely walk along the path almost to Bangor. Dog friendly and great for kids, running or biking. Lots of wildlife. Saw a seal and heron and lots of birdlife.

Great spot. Lovely walk along the seafront and great camping location for the Scouts. Cafe and toilets at found at the centre and the food isn’t bad. Hard to park during sunny days so best to avoid unless you’re early or really late. One way system is a nightmare to navigate at night - absolute nightmare.

We love this place. Great walks and plenty to see. The walk up to the waterfall is fantastic and enough of a walk to tire the young ones. The coastal path is very good and flat. Suitable for wheelchairs. The park is very tidy and well looked after but also is natural looking and not staged like some country parks.

Great country park mixing forest and seaside with a nice rambling path between here and Helen's Bay. The Woodlands Cafe is a great asset where you can rest , have a meal or snack, and then continue on your merry way . The Visitors' Centre doesn't look the best at the minute but it does seem under some sort of makeover so maybe there is a plan there.

One of the most beautiful places to visit, from the beach, burn and the cafe. Something for everyone.

Fantastic place to walk with ppl and animals, the views are outstanding. There is a great trek that leads to a waterfall. It also leads onto a beautiful beach with lots of sand and scenery right over the sea and surrounding areas. It also has a cafe with great facilities, like a restaurant and restrooms. Plus a variety of stuffed animals on show which has stories of the animals in the forest outside.

Maybe in just daft, but it's quite easy to get lost in the forest! Lovely walk though. The beach is also lovely.

Great spot for walk close to the sea with views of Belfast Lough, Carrickfergus, Whitehead and the hills beyond. There is a cafe in the car park serving hot food and the usual tray bakes. Had some chips but sadly I cannot recommend them. A short walk from the cafe and you are on the beach where today there were SUP lessons on offer. Lovely spot.

Crawfordsburn Country Park in County Down, Northern Ireland is a wonderful place to wander around and have a drink or bite to eat at the visitor centre. There is also easy access to Helen's bay for swimming.

It doesn't matter WHAT the weather is like, this park is ALWAYS relaxing and fun. From spring time walks to winter marches, the range of nature and views us stunning. It DOES get a bit busy on sunny days, but that's because it is so popular!! Food is great and reasonably priced and staff friendly and helpful. Well worth repeated visits!!

A refreshing walk with my dog in beautiful surroundings - a real gem of a park, forest and beach all in one place and not too far from Belfast! On-site cafe at visitor centre. Car parking is free which is a bonus!

Beautiful recreation area with lots of different trails. The coastal walk is as good as forest trails. Well worth a visit while in the vicinity .

Very nice place for a walk, free parking, car park entrance closes 4:30pm can exit anytime (no gate). Walk to Bangor and back approximately 5 miles, one short section of sandy beach to cross and no large hills.

Out for a walk today with my mate to take advantage of some of this great weather we have been getting. Walked round to helensbay beach which was surprisingly empty compared to previous weeks but then all the schools are back now, still a few people in swimming and lying around on the beach. Walked up church road and back to the main entrance to the park and continued down into the park and eventually to the cafe for a nice cappuccino and Scone. Cafe pretty busy but then it always is lovely produce to be had here.

Love walking from the visitors centre down to the beach. Saw 3 seals yesterday and lots of sea birds. Apparently there is a great park run there too. Visitors centre offers a welcome drink etc. Lits of people swim there too..even in Winter!

Nice spot for a day on the beach with the kids or the dog. The coastal path goes right down to Bangor. Wee cafe in the carpark is handy for a coffee. Can get very busy in good weather.

Many lovely aspects; the meadows and forest, the waterfall and the beach. Can get very busy at the beach at times you'd expect e.g. sunny weekends, but weekdays tend to be a bit more settled Perfect place to come for a walk or a summertime picnic 🧺
